Not the white girl talking about a colonialist vacation to a literal Hawaii native and then calling him UGLY bro he’s beautiful??? Bless you Jordan for uploading this relic
@@nixnox1962 the native people of Hawaii have publicly expressed many times that resorts and tourist attractions deplete natural resources, so much so that it caused a water crisis for locals while rich people get to have their fancy hotels. Also the fact that the USA literally colonized their home land
@Max how about the fact that nearly a fourth of the states GDP is made up by tourism and supports literally hundreds of thousands of jobs? Guess that's nothing to the people who live there.
People make fun of dating phrase cliches, but saying "you're not my type" is genuinely such a good way to say you're not interested without putting the blame on either individual. And now people OVERUSE the "_____________ is a really big thing for me" and it makes them sound SO self-absorbed and unlikeable (i.e. "attraction is a really big thing for me") like girl it's a big thing for everyone and you've essentially just said "someone will love you if they don't really care about your appearance"
idk, I feel like saying “you’re not my type” is kinda vague. someone could say the same about the attraction comment, but I think for some people finding someone physically attractive is more important than for other people. sometimes there are people who really don’t care about appearance, or it’s not the biggest or first thing that comes to mind regarding their partner
ok I replied before I got to that part of the video and hmm I see your point now, like the way she hit the button immediately upon seeing him and followed up with that,, I can definitely see “you’re not my type” being a lot kinder, jeez
@@lostotter1956 see what I mean? Yeah like this is a case where vague would be the best choice probably instead of her trying to be quirky or whatever.
@@lostotter1956 i also totally see your point lol. 'you're not my type' _can_ seem harsh if it's apparently about their personality, like if you've maybe complimented their looks before. but in this case, yeah i think it would be nicer (at least in comparison to what she said; rejecting people is always going to be difficult). evidently the personality wasn't her issue, but his looks aren't a problem either especially seeing as he's a model haha. he just wasn't her cup of tea, but she made it seem like he was just inherently not going to be attractive.
The haircut thing hit personal with me. My last ex liked my hair long and wouldn’t prefer to see me cut it. It was an abusive relationship. I’m indigenous and we believe hair holds emotions and spirit, so when we broke up, I cut it all off to a pixie cut. It’s been 4 1/2 years and now I’m in a loving relationship, still growing it out but it’s a pixie. Hair preference is shitty, specially if it’s used against you.
This ad read was scarily effective. The immediate tonal shift, doubling down on that shift with multiple shots of an unblinking Jordan mouthing the same stern lines, the sudden return to a joyful ad read, the cordial hand shake with Ethan to relay satisfaction in the product, the somewhat incongruous but heartwarming shot of Jordan hugging his dog. I have watched it thrice so far. Help.
honestly if i were going on a blindfolded date with a man, i too would immediately ask about his hygiene because of how many cis men don't even wash their hands after using the toilet
i really love seeing jordan's adreads bc it makes it clear what bits are required, like he didn't mention the "i hate shopping!!!!!!!! it's such a hassle!!!!!!!" you usually see
@9:45 the buttons all “alright this girl is looking for a perfect voice, a six pack and a full beard. We better get her out of here before she starts asking about d size”
Pixie cut girlie at the start. As a fellow pixie cut girlie, I was surprised she didn't smash the button the second he said "nice hair do you usually like to keep it short" bc I learnt v quickly that that translates directly to "damn you'd be pretty if you had long hair short hair is too masculine and I need you to be feminine" and I get that comment from like 70% of men I meet and it's an immediate red flag from me. No I am not going to grow it out, especially not because YOU think it would look cuter.
Yeah, bringing it up means you're focusing on it, when it really shouldn't be a big deal. I feel like it's really a thing for people to comment on things that they don't like or disapprove of, and there were definitely some gross vibes with that comment.
wow i was just rewatching your previous collabs last night, i cant believe you read my mind and filmed and uploaded this just for me thank you so much 🙏🏼
The pairing we knew we needed and we got it! The question is: do the makers KNOW the series exists to be reacted to by commentary channels? I mean they HAVE to right?
😂😂 ok the one where she got complimented immediately on her hair and then got the button was so dirtyyyy. Also, love this and the vid with Ethan. Keep being you and having fun Jordan!
maybe i'm just asexual but whenever someone's like "attraction is a big thing for me" it just baffles me?? like. if the blind date was going well, and you like their personality, what does it matter what they look like? also the shallowness of "i'm into long hair" 😭😭😭 PLEASE
no one seems to be saying this, but hellofresh union busts! get your bag and ignore this if they are the only sponsor you can get, but otherwise, i'm tired of hearing about them.
You are the first person I saw introduce hello fresh like that 😂 thanks Jordan for making videos and being you. I enjoy all your content not because of the topic but you’re great 👍🏻
anytime i feel like I should probably get back out there, I just watch a cut button video and decide to stay inside 🛌 🛋 💻 and... Vanessa is unbearable. I wouldn't be able to sit in the same room with that energy. Hopefully she unpacks whatever is going on with herself soon...
She's a very superficial, shallow person who thinks way, way too highly of herself. It's ironic that she says she's a model because she fits the stereotype of a model to a T.
@@futuristic.handgun You're right about the stereotype. It's a shame though. I think she's beautiful and she'd be even more with a personality to match. Sad, really. Don't know her age, but if she's on the south side of 21.. maybe it's a phase and I hope she comes around. Watched all my friends' younger siblings grow up and more than a few who thought their shit could make brownies at 19 or 20 are sweethearts now at 24, 25.
@@antih3roine Lmao, their shit could make brownies. I've never heard that one before, I dig it. 😂 I hope it's just a phase for her too, 'cause God knows the world definitely isn't in short supply of narcissistic assholes. We're good on in that department.
