@@khajiitimanus7432 aw, I didn't know that, for me it was just a theory because in the game in spanish sif is female but in another version he/she is male anyway let's ignore it and sorry for bad english :)
@@xupapilha Man used in this context is not referring to the male gender, but to humans as a race. Sif is obviously not human so the response is accurate regardless of Sif's gender, confirmed or not.
he was one of the scarier ones since he yeeted himself into the fray, most likely to cast his firestorm. Lautrec was also a little scary with how smart his combat ai was, but Patches is downright the most terrifying.
@@Akatsukileader9 well it's the dogs + tiny room that really makes this one hard. We know from his other vids that some NPCs can solo or tag team bosses fairly well
Logan would’ve oneshot Capra with a Soul Spear, that’s why he wasn’t there. Still, Solaire and Patches came close and Sif was interesting; I mean, his only purpose is to distract Manus during the fight, nice to see him doing damage
"Players are clearly showing signs of happiness and confidence at this point I'm the early game. That goes directly against our design principles. How do we fix it?" "An boss that one-shots you as soon as you walk in." "Player learns to dodge roll, learns the attack patterns, eventually overcomes. What else?" "Add some mobs so they can't focus on the boss." "Player kills the mobs first. Uses backstabs to get a breather and focus on the boss. Mobs make the fight easier." "Mobs that can't be backstabbed. Like dogs." "Dogs die in no time!" "Only if the player gets to attack them. Since we've taught the player to max out dodge, they won't have poise. Dogs auto-counter. The player won't get a hit in." "Player draws the mobs away, and we're back to square one." "Make it a closet." "What?" "Make the room so tiny that there's nowhere to run." "Hm. Impressive. We haven't tried that yet. We can probably get some great camera kills that way too. You know what, do your worst. We'll make it 'technically optional.' Master Key lets you take the long way around or some bullshit. That'll be plenty of fuel for our berate-and-humiliate forum policy..."
The best bit about his overhead is it's unlockable. Literally goes right over any shield, needs to be dodged. That's why Capra can be a bitch for some players.
Capra after obliterating average human NPC: "what a waste of my time" Capra after murdering Patches: "rest in peace, worthy challenger" Capra after he barely survived Sunbro: "STAY DOWN, MONSTER! I SAID STAY DOWN!"
@@anotherclown6620 Stength doesn't mean heavy armor so not always, the doggos will stun spam you without you getting to attack, that is what happened to me.
Not really. I had the master key on my first run, so i totally skipped the part of the game where u need the key that capra droops when he dies, at least until the late game where I had more poise than havel it self. Poor capra
Patches actually had a genius strategy. The tight space is supposed to make the fight hard because you don't have room to dodge, but Patches turned it to his advantage. Go in and block with a great shield and Capra doesn't have room to get around your shield.
You know, after my initial failures I've never tried to fight a Capra demon legitimately; I just abused the staircase trick and ran around the ones in the Demon Ruins. And you know what? Life is better for it.
I would complain about this being a one versus three and thus extremely unfair, but Fina tells me that I am in no position to make that argument. Heh...
What you should complain about is that you didn't bring a shield, nor an estus flask. What were you thinking, Lautrec? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yJSQhngdmZA.html
The Capra Demon Bossfight is one of the most unfair. If you did not defeat the dogs immediately, younare basicly dead because there is a 90% chance that the first attack of the Capra is his dual sword attack. This is perfectly shown here. Even I defeated him on first try in my recent run, it was still Bull**** because the dogs blocked me. AND: SIF is a good boi
@@SapphireManakete we should go from the japanese og and see what honorifics and gender pronouns they use Personally. I think sif is a girl, just seems right. Idk why it just does.
These kind of fights really show how unprepared the AI for most characters is to fight something that isn't a human player. Fighting a boss that likely isnt going to stagger a lot ruins the entire gameplan for most of them. Sif only just barely getting a victory because Capra decided to start backing off a bit instead of staying in
I have played through the base game many times, on several new game cycles, he still gives me the chill. Now I have a fairly good routine (if I do not feel like cheesing him with fire bombs): run up the stairs, have my back against the wall, kill the dogs, then engage the demon. I could not master killing the dogs while dodging from the demon at the same time in that cramped space.
It was original having that boss fight in such a cramped space especially with 2 dogs as well, was stuck on this guy for ages when I first played, really intimidating early boss
I love these "NPCs vs. bosses" gauntlets! That said, man are these NPCs dimwits. You could perhaps count the number of blocks on one hand, and there's no excuse for the fellows who tried to punch with their talismans instead of using miracles. Patches and Solaire came the closest, but the poor guys just had no timing whatsoever. Congrats to Sif though, he actually realized he needed spam his superarmor moves.
DS1 tip: if you won't use your shield to defend, then don't bring it to a fight. Thoroland knights, Patches and Solaire had their chances until they decided to attack instead of defend and counter. Sif didn't had a shield to start, so he just attacked.
