In Indonesia you just have to "just know" where to get stuff. And every couple of years you have " just know" all over again because the last guy already closed down. Networking with people who know is essential. Sounds like you already have a fair bit of "just know". 😊

Hello my darlings, Having watched your vlogs for......years, and going through the 'thick and thins' of life with you, I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your life with us, and 'fill up the boat with all possible spare parts', as long as she doesn't get too heavy, because, being a landlubber, my son is always amazed at what I have in my 'storage cupboard ' that he needs, not to mention what you could need on a boat!😂❤❤❤

Happy birthday! They're called these bugs "tomcat" for some reason. Even in Bali is not easy to find marine grade stainless screws. Few month's ago i bought some japanese cooking utensil for my work place out of Amazon Japan. Was prepared to pay import duty & tax, but as it turns out we didn't have to pay anything. 5 micron filter is too fine for the government water supply, they get clogged up too fast so it's not popular in Indo. The Water filter specialist shops will have them though. Ask for the suppliers shop for the water filter stations "supplier alat air isi ulang". Super glue and silicone glue dries up by contact with humidity/moisture. Fridge/freezer = dry air, keep longer. Or, if you have an airtight box with (rechargeable) silica gel could also work. Hard to find marmite lately, everywhere i look i only find vegimite. Bali has plenty of chutney and tahini makers, the brand Bali Asli is recommended.

Excellent bit of local knowledge there, thank you. I was surprised at the lack of 5 micron. We did find a water dealer but he only had 1 micron (for fresh water systems only). I'm hoping I have enough to get us back to Malaysia. Hope you have your batons firmly closed. Looks like more weather coming in this week. Last night's squall was pretty fierce.

Yep, Langkawi is a designated duty-free island. That luxury is not afforded anywhere else in SE Asia, except Tioman and Labuan.

The blisters like similar but with the acid bug you get a long, thin line where the acid has been 'wiped', with diminishing rashes around it. It hadn't occurred to me how similar to shingles it is though. Blister beetle rash is more superficial normally and clears more quickly than shingles.
