The Budget Kart Challenge is finally back on the track but disaster strikes, kind of. Remember to like the video and subscribe! Become a Karting1 Supporter here on Patreon - / karting1videos #kart #karting #rotaxmax
Love it!!! I found this video since I just bought an Arrow AX8 with a new Rotax 125 for 8000 SEK (Swedish) = 642,05 GBP. The track record by a KZ at the local club is 36sek and we did 38sek (not me driving). Now I just have to get the licence and put the kart on my roof... Thanks for posting!
@@liamcrabb9065 well it's a 2011ish chassis and a 2013 Prevo. PLenty about if you look hard enough. Ask on IKR club group pages. Lots of people willing to sell karts at that price. Also, this was pre-lets print all the money when I bought it, but there are 100% still similar deals out there. Some even better.
My first kart I got for 200 dollars . It was pre bumper kind of old ! The engine was fine but had to buy a cheap spec engine to run in a box stock series ! Was the classic kart champ in a group of one ! You definitely aware of your feet in a older kart ! For my newer kart 🤣. One of older guys asked what my chassis was . So told him . Well that's your problem 😂🤣. Glad ran Briggs rather than a Rotax !!
Sorry but there is no such thing as 'budget' when it comes to karting...... unless your budget is in the tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands for those fancy people with nice semi's hauling their stuff. You just happen to get lucky and score a deal on that kart. Here in The States you can be looking at around $4500 for someone's 'outdated' kart (that isn't an entry level LO206) with an engine you can actually compete in racing events with...... unless you just want a kart with a motor that isn't even raced anymore in clubs. And over here the Rotax isn't even raced anymore, or very rare to see clubs running it. It's a joke, really, how expensive this hobby is.
I bought a 2 stroke for £900 and raced it for multiple seasons. One set of tyres every 3 race meetings. Had a great time. Its only super expensive if you want to race top level, but for most people that's pointless anyway
