I was a Bradley guy. For a piece of shit vehicle, they were pretty badass. They also killed more tanks in desert storm than the Abrams. Sometimes effective and not the best go hand in hand.
Isn't that just because there were like a fuck ton more Bradleys on the ground than Abrams? Lol as far as I know, every time an Abrams hit a T-72 it was a one-shot kill.
That was part of it. Tactics played a bigger part. Bradley was the first contact and Abrams would provide support. They called the Bradley a “scout” vehicle. A running joke in the military. When we went mechanized infantry, “Infantry Fighting Vehicle” made more sense to me personally. Fitting a squad of dudes in gear in the troop hatch was a nightmare.

Nah. If you were our size, between treacherous Germany and always scheming Russia... you would also be as overactive about war and preparations for it as my beloved country ;). I think most of us understand why it is worth not fighting with old rifles against tanks... next time. The technology of warfare is advancing and if your country wants to continue to exist... and your citizens to live... you must be prepared. Peace is a privilege, it's easy to forget about it.

I did have to look up what the Delta Dart is and ouch, one of the reasons why it was retired was due to the arrival of 15.

Speaking of... anyone noticed that one of the "captured tanks" has a weird hole in it. Weird because it *looks* like a HEAT round hit it... except that can't be it because it's missing aspects of it upon close inspection (like the dents it leaves around the hole) so it just looks like they took a welder, cut a whole in the armor, and tried to make it look like they destroyed it with one of their tanks instead of... you know... four mines stuck together...
Doesn't Change the fact that they are getting wiped out on the battlefield same with the Bradley's. The Russians are hunting down the Abrams like prized bucks. That tank is absolutely useless in Ukraine.
F-35B (STOVL) and F-35C (CATOBAR) are a thing. Also F-22N was shelved long ago, same with the stealth A-6 replacement A-12. Now FB-22 Strike Raptor, now that would have been a good thing.
@@FirstDagger I dunno the F-22N with F-14 variable sweep wings looks awsome. The A-12 fly doritio I agree with not making that, unless it comes in cool ranch flavor. The FB-22 is a delta wing F-22 I wonder what the maneuverability would've been like with that much extra lifting surface.

The NVA and VC suffered a combined loss of 500,000 to 1,500,000 troops whereas the US lost 60,000. In the entirety of GWOT the US lost less than 10,000 troops while OPFOR casualties could be as high as 200,000+. Did the US achieve what they wanted in the middle east and Vietnam? No, but they fucking killed everyone who tried to appose them while they were there. And that was all with bullshit regulations and ROEs. If the American Armed Forces were let off their leash in today's day and age they'd level countries and turn them into parking lots.
