As someone who is old enough to remember and appreciate the iconic/older original casinos in LV, I would love to see Circus Circus upgrade the property. For the last 10+ years, I have always felt that I might need a proactive penicillin shot before visiting that property.
Something interesting about Oakland. When the only in n out in Oakland closed for good they took EVERYTHING with them. From the iconic red tiles to the crossed palm trees. You know you pissed someone off when they take the landscaping with them when they escape!
🗞🎙Excellent reporting, presentation & Vegas news coverage always found here! This along with your other content is why you are at 300K subs & counting. Big congrats to you my friend. On the road to 1 mil but next up...400K!! 🥂🍾🎉❤
Awesome video Jacob!!! I am coming back to Vegas for my 50th birthday in September. I am staying at the RIO. I hope to see you when I am out there. I also left a comment on one of Laci's videos.
We really enjoy your videos, Jacob. We travel to Vegas a few times a year, and we appreciate the tips, rumors, traffic discussions, and the reviews of various hotels and restaurants. Makes us always feel prepared! Thank you!
Circus circus yessssss!! What a great idea!! So smart. I hope they crushed it some more casino start doing this. For someone like myself who makes a good living, I have no problem spending money at a casino I just don't want to feel like I'm getting ripped off all the time. Awesome. You give the greatest updates!
Good for Circus Circus and their Slots-a-Fun! I hope this is a growing trend to mitigate against the absurd $200/night avg strip hotel price and $100/night avg downtown hotel price, as well as, rip-off buffet prices!
Went to Vegas before Super Bowl for my first time and really enjoyed it. Going back in July for the Canada vs USA basketball game. So I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos to learn more about the city. Such a fascinating city when you compare it to others.
I went in late February so much fun wanna go again in the summer wondering is it very hot in Vegas during the summer I heard it is was wondering if it’s unbearable tho
@@KelvTheLegend Yes it IS VERY hot but the GREAT thing about that is it is NOT humid, so you will HARDLY break a sweat!!! It averages about 108 degrees in both June and July in the daytime.
Found your channel yesterday,,, have not been able to stop watching.... My wife and I visited for the first time ever in May 23 and again in Sept 23... My Uncle lives in Boulder City and builds high rises in Vegas.. Keep up the awesome work . IF possible,, cud you give some Lake Mead updates here n there?
A friend and I drove up to Vegas last week. We last went into Slots a Fun in 2021 and then again last week and Circus Circus has definitely made a difference in the place. There were quite a few people playing the coin slots in there (for a Tuesday) and the table games that were open were fully occupied. It actually felt like people were having Slots a Fun there compare 2021 when the place was a ghost town. Gift shop was also open and it was nice to see the cheap food and drink options. Inside the main casino, the whole place was a madhouse because of spring break and all the families the place attracts. They even got that carousel thing in the casino and midway spinning again as the midway uses it to sell snacks
Hi Jacob your videos are always full of interesting and informative stuff. I've been here two years now looking for a staycation at the Cosmo with a balcony suite for maybe July 4th I'm going to check your deals. Cheers 🍻
I really enjoy your videos. You have more depth info about Las Vegas than other RU-vidrs. More narration too. A little bit about me. I started Over The Road trucking in February 1990. Driving on I-15 thru Las Vegas for the first time. I got to see old Las Vegas. Drove through Vegas 65-70 times and stopped in about 30-35 times between 1990 to 2008. Last time I was in Vegas, I won a trip in 2019, but the Coronavirus delayed the 2020 trip and went there in July 2021 instead. Holy cow, Las Vegas has changed. 1990 "The Strip" was old Las Vegas/ Paradise. All original. It was like stepping back in time. By 2008, Vegas was coming alive. And my last trip in 2021, I didn't recognize it hardly. I did see most of the 1990 & 2000 Resorts being built. I saw some of the old Resorts being imploded. I could go on and on and on about seeing Las Vegas in the 1990s. But awesome videos you post out on your channel. Keep up with the great work you do.
My wife and I, who both love LV, are really enjoying your videos, Jacob. We would like to suggest that you make videos about the attractions such as Madame Tussauds, Eiffel Tower, Mob Museum, Neon Museum, Fine Arts Museum, Diana and the Royals, Mandalay Bay shark reef, Tutankamun and Titanic exhibitons, Quest (marine exhibition), and some of the shows, like the Knights at Excalibur, and Spice Girls, Prince, MJ, etc., and restaurants like the Lotus of Siam, and, lastly, all of the wedding chapels that you can manage. Apologies if you've covered any of this ground already.
Norse airways will be offering flights starting Sept 23 nonstop from Vegas to London for a mere 299 one way, and 503 round trip out of Harry Reid. Reservations can be made now. The airline is a budget airline reported based in Europe. Love the channel so much, we packed up from Florida and moved here. I now work and live here in Las Vegas. Love it! Thanks Jacob!
Can ANYBODY explain to me WHY they have to tear down the Tropicana, one of the last classic casinos on the Strip, to build a ball park???!!! In other words, WHY do they have to have a ballpark on the Strip in the first place???!!! It just seems like such a waste, especially with all the history behind it. And as for the stained glass: it doesn’t matter how they plan on preserving it, its original intention was always to decorate the Trop. With it torn apart and split into several different places, you lose the intended effect. It’s very similar to removing stained glass windows from a church: you lose something inherent to its existence. Bottom line: yes, things always move on. But at least move on in a way that doesn’t destroy history in a way that can be avoided. Thank God for the Neon Museum!!! (and my response to those who would say, what about all the classic casinos that were torn down before? Isn’t that destroying history? Yes, but at least they replaced them for the most part with other casinos-not a ballpark that sticks out like a sore thumb)
Rio though is having big problems with security in the rooms. Lots of break ins! Scary. While people are sleeping in their rooms! It’s crazy. Why can’t Rio control this? It’s probably an inside job.
It’s been a couple of months since your last Rio update. I recently got a 5 night comp offer and want to know if they have made enough improvements in the last couple of months or will make over the next few months so I can use it by the end of the year. Thanks, Jacob!
I love seeing brands respond or get snarky on social media! It's especially smart for the casinos to teach people how to play their table games! 3:09 That was MY witty response to the escalators, however! 5:37 Hairy Reed was a POS! They should rename The A's! 10:00 They should put in sky gondolas like the Dodgers are doing, instead of some mile long botanical walk! 12:30 I wish more hotels had bungalows, especially with direct pool access, like beach hotels have beach access bungalows!
The sad truth is that most players view casinos as adult, theme park, playgrounds, with their gambling stake being the price they have to pay for the losing experience. --Terrence "VP Pappy" Murphy
I can't understand why Rio and Palms don't have shuttle buses running from there to the strip and back . I thought about staying at Palms a number of times , but I don't like being isolated off the strip and you would be crazy to walk to these properties at night . In fact I wouldn't walk these even in the daytime .
There are talks of saving the stained glass in Tropicana and making it part of the new field. I think it would be great if they had a hallway with the stained glass moved to a new home in its entirety. 2. Southwest has announced it would like to begin having red eye flights out of Vegas and Hawaii within the next two years. I'm hoping there are plenty of red-eye flights into Vegas and Hawaii as well. Also, am I the only night owl that would like to get into Vegas late at night, and also be able to check out once the sun goes down?
I don’t understand the Oakland As at all. Why can’t the stadium be built elsewhere? And on top of that they want to take the old signs as well to display??? It’s cool but I just don’t understand why destroy history just to use history as your decoration.
