@@some_dude_who_shoots9638 The razor is heavier, but it has a better eye box, you can’t beat physics and since the PLX is shorter overall it sacrifices some things to keep that overall size down
@@narutobroken I haven’t had an issue with the smaller Eyebox in using the PLXC… I have noticed the lighter weight while maneuvering the gun in competition
Watching you use the Scope Switch to dial back magnification to find the next target then dial back up after locating it made the switch look less like a gimmick to me. Thats an awesome ability to have
Man, this channel has the best optic reviews on RU-vid. The visuals are super useful for getting an actual impression. Thank you for your work, you are truly great at your craft!
the best reviewer on youtube. the qulaity of the information, the audio, and the perspective and in depth information you give on everything just is unmatched
I’m totally convinced that at the $1500-$1900 price point you can’t have this clarity of glass + daylight bright with first focal plane and today’s technology. People keep giving the NX8 crap but you’re just looking at design choices. If primary arms could have brought a ffp + daylight bright + same glass clarity as plxc to market at same price they would have. I will say this is like a Kahles for cheaper though, good for them.
I don't know what kind of dark magic the wizzards at Primary Arms practice, but they eliminated a lens from a scope. One does not simply eliminate a lense. The physics don't physic on that one. Yet they did. And the fiberwire technology finally fixed both the brightness and battery lifetime of LPVOs. Great scope.
Never leave comments, but have to on this one. Like others have said-great review! I’ve literally bought the Plx-C ffp(Griffin), Razor HD, and Delta Stryker because your LPVO vids, and held off on getting the new one until you hopefully made one. Thanks for making videos like this one and for making it harder to quell my addiction to really good glass lol. Now to decide if I want to stay with the black or go tan on the next one…
Been waiting for a review on the Plx-C 1-8 Nova. This video kind of confirmed my thoughts about the optic. Now it's time to save up and swap the Slx over to the 16" and get the Plx-c for the 10.3"
@@leroyb1876 Yessir, a 10.3. I started using a red dot (no magnifier), and found that with a magnifier being stuck at either 1x or 3x was just not what I wanted out of my build. The 1x is really good on the Slx Nova... is the eye relief as good as a red dot? Hell no, but for my use case I can deal with the more precise eye box. With more Larp and range time, I'm starting to like lpvos more and more. Red dots and holos will still remain king for the quick heads-up target acquisition, but you can get very good performance from lpvos now-a-days. I understand that the ballistics of 5.56 out of a 10.3 barrel isn't great at distance due to the velocity drop off. But if I'm shooting targets at 300+ I will probably just use a larger caliber like 308 or 338. Everyone also recommends going 11.5 instead of 10.3/10.5 because of the velocity increase, I didn't do that because I got the Ballistic Advantage Modern Series 10.3 Carbine length barrel (government profile) for 70$. Usually that barrel runs $135ish.
Love it. For faster short and mid range engagement this is great. I always favor lighter weight scopes like this one. Also, I believe a "Christmas tree" reticle is more suited for higher magnification like a 2-10x.
Awesome. Been waiting for someone to do a video on it. Definitely will have to pick one up if the march FX 1-10 (latest version) doesn't get my money first. Love the weight, bright dot, and low profile turrets on this, but I like the overbuilt, shorter, dual focal features on the march.
This is like the K18i we have at home, which considering I was already considering getting one of those anyways I may just be able to cop this instead and save myself some paper 👀
Love the scope, but don't understand the price. This one being a 2nd focal plane version, shouldn't it be $200-$300 cheaper than their 1st focal plane PLXC?
I’ve had the EOTech 1-10x and now I have this PLXC …. If you need daylight bright and usable reticle on 1x then the PLX is hands down better… I shot out to 660 yesterday without issue… if you don’t mind a a heavier scope set up and plan to shoot at father distances then it’s a toss up with the EOTech having an advantage of a better reticle for holds and wind
It’s been really useful for me. I think if you run an offset dot, then you likely don’t need it unless you want variable magnification in between min and max.
I'm going to sell my scope and two handguns to buy this optic lmao. I'm gonna wait around a while though first for them to work out any kinks it may have show up early on in production, and also to wait for them to drop in price like the FFP version did. Getting one of these for like $1200 would be amazing. Gonna be hard to decide between this and keeping a Razor Gen II-E
