Seeing a bunch of these, you realize a lot of these guys re-used jokes. Red Buttons did that "why are we having a dinner for X when so many great women never got a dinner, " more than once, and I'm pretty sure Milton Berle used that "Dance of the Virgin" line in Lucille Ball's roast as well.

Never could you get to see so many great individuals under one roof at the same table. You knew you were in for a great night when Dean Martin was on top of his GAME and FOSTER BROOKS as well. I watched these Roasts especially because of them. The Golden age of television was a special time and we will never see such great comedy like we had in the 60's & 70's.. these were special times and something today's generation will never get to experience. I enjoyed this film 🎥 very much. Well done ✌🏽

in reality, he didn't drink. He always wanted to be at the top of his game and would not drink during the day. He and Brooks were known for their acting drunk, and they would set each other off on stage. He did not like long rehearsals for his weekly show in part because he wanted to make it to dinner with his family every night. He then relied on adlibs and slip ups during the taping of each episode.

All the jokes where about not knowing who she is None of them knew she would end up being more famous and legendary than all of them lol.

This was absolutely top notch - everyone was sooo good. I couldn't believe how incredibly good Foster Brooks was - probably the best I have ever seen and LaWanda Page never, ever disappoints! Loved her! Don't get me started on Dan Haggerty - a longtime schoolgirl crush for me!

What he said was "we gotta stop getting gassed." Gassed is archaic slang for drunk.
