This response is to Kraus Strider and s few others; Skill Up looked at specific circumstances, specific skills and computed through put and damage. He was very specific in his methodology. He was also very specific in leaving out many minor additives. He have us a basic model to look at and to identify what the difference between CHD and CHC on SMGs is. Mathematically his data is correct. The individual player will add and change the total by mods, gear sets, gear and talents. He never said that the data cant change or that it is the absolutely right answer. Min-Max players, tweaking gear sets, recalibration rolls and knowing the game will always be better than the base numbers he gave. But before you say this is better than that and so on, how about you look at a player min-maxing a crit build LVOA-c, and a crit damage LVOA-c and a PP19 build the same way. And lord help me. Just because your MP7 melts some one, doesn't mean my PP19 doesn't melt two targets, and reload in 1 sec. I have a crit build MG5, I crit 5 of 10 on average, and I have decent crit hit damage. I melt people with a non-alpha build. It is silly to dispute the basic math and the basic data he put out. It is accurate. Basically all gear is relevant now. 75% of all gear sets are relevant now, and most of us know how to build face melt gear sets. So enjoy the meta and stop bashing the data. Just deal with it.

Just so you know: Players have a native 25% Crit Damage. If you un-equip anything that has Crit Damage as a bonus and you will find the same 25% base across all weapon types. Example: Equipping a pistol with no mods and a pair of gloves with 17% crit damage will net you 41% Crit Damage on your character. The same applies to Assault Rifles, Marksman Rifles, etc.

Good video. I think (as you mentioned) optimal range will play an important part in balancing out ARs and SMGs. Another thing to consider is that most experienced people will run with conceal pulse so thats a large % of CHC that is lost from your pulse.

This game was just one big beta test, wasted my time and money buying dlc and building my characters for the developers to keep changing the foundation of the game. Was a good game for a while, way too many bugs and exploits. Lost all faith in this title.

Hey great stuff, with your damage spread sheet can you compare the damage output between stacking crit hit/dmg vs stacking raw % dmg talents such as competent, responsive, prepared, and unforgiving.
