Joe Zahner if she was to come back, you would be the second in line, 2nd best. Being second best is not good enough for a man of God who is made in God's image. You deserve way better than that. Scripture clearly states that once the woman knows (intimately) another man, her original husband cannot take her anymore. In other words, God believes that a man who is made in His image deserves waaay more than being 2nd best in the heart of an adultress. Joe Zahner you need to cut the ties and enjoy your life.

My wife divorced me 20 years ago, I just didn't know it, or maybe I left her, unsure, so I am leaving it all up to God. We did the same thing with bickering on raising our own 2 boys. I agree ,I'm divorced never felt married because before and even at the alter a voice was telling me not to marry him but I did ,the verbal abuse started 6 months after, then the physical, emotional, even sexual after 6 years I left but he told everyone is was in the wrong I didn't deny, I still hope 10 years that he'd change but he never did, but this couple had no reason she just allowed the stress of the babies to consume her, but thank God they found they way back.

This is a wonderful as well as inspiring story. My ex wanted out, took the kids to her home state, and sent me divorce papers. We both got remarried but her husband died three years into their marriage. We are both cordial and great coparents. I learned no matter who you marry, there will be test and trials. I had to turn back to God to work on my current marriage because the honey definitely has run out of the moon. Sometimes I get frustrated because I am guilty of looking at what appears to be "other people's successful marriages" but realized that I know better being I have spent almost 14 years being married between two women and definitely know that people make things appear to be what they are really not. God is definitely the answer.

While I am truly happy things worked out in the end, I am just so shocked at the divorce rates among christians. I grew up in a village where people who didn't even know God would live together "forever" once they made their commitments to each other as couples even though they were not officially married. And it's really a shame when christians start giving all the great sounding reasons for divorce. I will never understand this culture I see today!
Just because people go to church and even often and preach God a lot doesn’t mean they truly have him in their heart or follow his word. A lot of people just do what they were raised to believe or do what they think they should without real work.
If I may, let me share some light from what I have learned. If you live life w/o God why would satan bother with you or your family... your eternity belongs to him. However if you belong to God the enemy who btw is satan will try to destroy you and your family just because he hates God's children. I’ve been married for about one year and 4 months to my wife. We have a newborn and she wants a divorce. I truly believe that she has a lot of mental and emotional health problems that she refuses to deal with from her past, and has dumped all of her hurt, pain, and trauma on me. She also has been showing signs of being depressed and of a narcissist. I know that marriage isn’t perfect and takes lots of practice and patience. I’m here and have never wavered in my faith that God can turn this thing around. I have never said that I wanted to leave my marriage every time something didn’t go my way or if my wife did something that I didn’t like. I know that God has put us together for a reason, and I’m praying that He continues to do a work on the both of us. Whatever issues my wife is going through, I pray that He can help her because she has shut me totally out of her life and is trying to do the same when it comes to our son. I also believe that she is at the point, that she will not listen to anyone. She has blocked my entire family and church family off of Facebook. She’s running from something but refuses to communicate with me or anyone who gives her Godly advice and wisdom. This is why I will never have children. The children aren’t at fault, but if I feel I’m not ready, I won’t just have children. It’s stupid to push a spouse to have kids when they aren’t ready. Both should be on the same page.
Once I became a mom my relationship fell apart and cheating and unfaithfulness Came alone with our daughter. She is going to be 5 and since she was one we have been apart and God only knows how much pain and hurt I have been through since then but I just keep calling upon the lord. This pain brought me back to Jesus and church. I’m still after almost 5 years I’m still praying for my family and for healing and reconciliation.
