Speaking of alternative heresies, Majorkill just came out with a video covering the Lion El’ Johnson heresy about a week ago. It personally is my favorite out of the three he’s covered so far since it actually makes more sense for some of the primarchs that go traitor like the Lion and Dorn. With a original heresy like twist similar to the future Horus saw in his vision that turned him. I definitely would give it a recommendation to watch.

It's even got a hilarious ammount of irony for the chaos primarchs, which I always find more "chaotic"

Another thing after the heresy, Guilliman wanted to make peace with the Imperium after fighting some chaos space marines, thus realizing what Dorn had done. He wanted to do this as he believed reuniting with the Imperium could be the only way to beat Chaos. Peace talks were held on the planet Prandium, only for Imperial Space Marines to open fire on the Ultramarines. One of the last things Guilliman’s honor guard saw was their Primarch getting stabbed in the back by Fulgrim before they both disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Guilliman currently sits captive in a stasis field under the Imperial Palace as a grizzly trophy of war, with many citizens of Ultramar and the Ultramarines demanding that Guilliman’s body be returned with calls to launch a crusade conquer Terra by force. Good work Imperium. You really know how to bring people together

My headcanon for Erebus being loyal in these timelines is that, the faker never killed the _real_ Erebus and instead the true Erebus killed his would be murderer and still became an Astartes

I mainly like the Roboutian Heresy because of how they change bits of the primarch origins to justify their decisions in the Heresy. Regardless, I still love seeing a loyalist Magnus and Perturabo But what I love about this AU is how the Ultramarines basically become their own independent faction. Their Mark 16 Damocles pattern armor is sleek af. Also Abaddon rebrands the Sons of Horus as the Black Templars post heresy.

The Ultramanes in the Dornian Heresy feel like a compenation between their old Roman aesthetic but also the Foundation from Isaac Asimov's Foundation book series. They're a technological and benevolent independent state that is slowly growing as a vastly larger empire next door slowly crumbles around them.

Really wish Perturabo got more of the spotlight instead of being killed off.

How many of the legions and primarchs could Peter Turbo and Dorn take on together if they defended Terra?

You're talking the 2 best siege defense experts. The kings of walls. Killboxes, chokepoints, all things meant to make attackers fall before they can even stand. Anything they touch would become a head-meets-wall inducing nightmare of a fortress. Take perturabo's attrition-style and turn it on disorganized, unreliable traitors. Then pile Dorn's straight up unbreakable style with walls and Reinforcements to really grind ultra-salt into the wounds.

@@centric3125 and with perturabo not orgnizing them the traors would have been scatter and without angron as a battering ram the hersy kinda needed perturabo at every big step to have the ending they got.
@centric3125
@centric3125 10 месяцев назад
@captain-commander8138 even WITH Angron working as a human battering ram, you can't exactly ram minefields, Artillery barrages, probably a chainblade version of a Spike pit trap, and who knows what else Pert+ Dorn could have cooked up. Hell, depending on who they ask, you could have Magnus creating bizarre, nonsensical architecture that drives the traitors nuts, warping passages that splinter them off to be ambushed and killed, or, if Big E is involved, straight up make barriers of might that, as they go deeper, slowly cripple them more and more by searing them with some sort of psychic proclamation.

Personally I don't really vibe with any Alt-Heresy that doesn't have Sanguinius as the Warmaster, because he just does not fit being dedicated to a singular chaos god. And personally no, I can very easily see Guilliman falling to Slaanesh out of pursuit for perfect order, but Vulkan is the one Primarch I don't see falling ever.

They really go for the 180 with Vulcan in the Dornian Heresy. He becomes a full blown nihilistic worshipper of Malal(or malice).

The Sanguinius Heresy has been something I’ve been working on for a while just some head scratching issues with other what if projects people made. Sanguinius has had a few brushes with chaos but nurgle seems the least likely which makes it kinda cool. I am a big fan of him falling to all the gods in a way where each god pocked and prodded him just enough when he fights Ka’Bandha during the Signus campaign he is wrecked with loads of instability. Khorne bestowed a curse that flared his rage. Tzeentch altered his future premonitions of his clairvoyance ability. Nurgle cast decay upon his soul. Finally Slanesh stirred up the insatiable lust within Sanguinius. This all started well during the great crusade and paint a great picture of every stroke of chaos that could have befallen our lovely hawk boy. It feels right because I can see a once magnificent angel winged sanguinius with half his body being corrupted after the death and consumption of Ka’Bandha devil and angel very vivec looking to me from Morrowind. You also have the literal hawk bow becoming a great demon primarch of Tzeentch with previously mentioned angel wings turned into a giant blue wings of change. His abilities all lead to each chaos god. From the future premonitions like Tzeentch, to the black rage of khorne, to the decay of a beautiful angel being corrupted by being forced to eat diseased flesh, and the lust of the red thirst. All these attributes where then forced upon his legion some being absorbed into nurgle garden, others falling to the black rage, marines on the edges of the empire being noble douches drinks blood on there pleasure planets, and a legion of those who want to change fate for the better but are being used. It works surprisingly well just trying to connect what happens to everyone else and how it affects 40k.

I much prefer completely changed Heresy’s instead of team swaps. Like imagine Leman and Magnus having to team up to stop a rampage by Angron and Khornite Sanguinius. Or Corvus and Konrad having to sneak around Macragg by themselves avoiding capture while trying to stop Lorgar from turning Guilliman into a daemon until Alpha legionaries appear out of nowhere to assassinate Guilliman and extract Corvus and Konrad.

Dozens of different versions of the primarchs all slugging it out. Even the chaos ones would fight because they hate each other (Angron V. Russ, Dorn and Perty, Lorgar and Gulliman) all while every version of Magnus is floating overhead locked in a constant psykic (or literal, depending on the lessons they've learned) arm wrestling match that occasionally bombs part of the battlefield. Imagine Prime Horus getting dog piled by every other Horus (basically all of them) and being ripped apart. The different forms of Sanguinius would be constantly flying/fighting and trying to either kill their loyal/traitor counterpart or show their other Chaos versions they're the best. Any form of Perturabo is probably gonna either come in as a walking bulletstorm or a defensive point that needs massive Overkill to take down. It might get even worse if other versions of *The Emperor* step in, because then they'll pool their psykic might and probably just slam all the traitors away, leaving each 'Warmaster' incarnation standing to fight ALL the emperors and their loyalists for a moment. Over the top and possibly a dangerously fast paced read, but if done right, it could work. 'The Heresy Beyond Reality' sounds nice.
