The Roboutian heresy is easily my 2nd favourite fan fiction (after tts). Just wished my boy Konrad wasn’t killed, but it was lovely to see the night lords become the most wholesome people in the galaxy.

Low key having loyalist Magnus, Konrad, and Angron would have meant loyalist victory. The combination of Magnus’ knowledge, Konrad’s foresight, and Agrons Empathy would probably have prevented more Primarchs from falling.

I loved the Roboutian Heresy when I read it awhile back. But what of the Lion, you may ask? Yeah, Majorkill really doesn't explain what the Lion does. Think what happened with Fulgrim and Perturabo, then replace; Fulgrim with the Lion, Perturabo with Russ, and Slaanesh with Tzeentch. I think the Lion's Daemon Prince "Daemon form" was of a Humanoid Caliban Lion-Winged Sphinx design.

I love the Roboutian Heresy! Konrad is the mother that when you missbehave, instead of screaming at you. Crosses her arms, stares at you dead in the eye and says "im not angry, just dissapointed" Angron is literally Optimus Prime in 40K. Also the Imperium is less dark with civilians since the Legions never spread into chapters, not just the Imperium militar strenght remains intact, but also the teachings of Angron & Konrad remain intact. So as a whole, Space Marines are not a bunch of a$$holes! I really recommend the Roboutian Heresy is a genuine good reading!

My favorite thing about Angron's backstory in this is that he participated in the rebellion on Nuceria just like in canon, however this time the rebels under Angron were skilled, disciplined warriors to the point where the High Riders put the Butcher's Nails in their own soldiers to try to even the odds, but still got stomped by Angron and his boys. The battle solidified Angron's belief that discipline and self-control is always better than mindless rage.

@criminalpidgeon4636 Год назад
@TheGoodLuc Then why Nex? Hastur has the title Yellow King, and one of his titles and forms is The Feaster from Afar: This form is described as a black, shrivelled, flying monstrosity with tentacles tipped with razor-sharp talons. Plus, at the end of the raven guard chapter on FF in the Authors Note: Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Corax Occuli wgah'nagl fhtagn that's r'yleh. Also a qoute from zahariel:(I am not sure why, but once the idea of making the Raven Guard's theme the Cthulhu Mythos, inspiration just flowed in me) both the r'yleh and the qoute screams hastur.
@TheGoodLuc

@@criminalpidgeon4636 It's a reference. Raven's Guard seems to have emraced Chaos in its more primal form, and became horrors that I think more equal to Nex. They are not mere Chaos worshippers.

I feel like sanguinius and the blood angels would be at most a dual chaos faction with khorne and slanesh, but more so a Khorne faction seems more likely. The black rage would be so rampant they would basically become world eater when in combat but more like emperors children outside combat which is were the red thirst would come through like after a tough day at work they drink a nice glass of wine. Though it would be multiple peoples worth of blood hey you get the idea
@TheAngryXenite
@TheAngryXenite Год назад
It's actually noted that Khorne has marked them originally. Slaanesh gets them because, with Fulgrim avoiding his possession and the fall of his Legion to chaos, they needed a new champion. They conspired with Nurgle to turn the Iron Hands, and in exchange he would help them steal Sanguinius away from Khorne.

I love the vid but it wasn't explained much on Angron, he basicly became Optimus prime, and was a walking moral compass, something that was passed down to his sons in kind, even if they can't hope to be as wise and kind as Angron was in this AU

Here are a few more differences that aren't mentioned Raven guard create eldritch monstrosities The Ruinstorm becomes pretty permanent, like the Eye of Terror Cato Sicarius is a champion of Slannesh, and Captain Titus is a champion of Khorne Death Korps of Krieg are devoted to Khorne Ciaphas Cain becomes a Saint Fabius Bile becomes known as the Arch Renegade and leads an army of cloned Astartes called the Black Legion The Ynnari plotline is actually good There's also some bullshit with the Cabal and the alpha legion

The only thing I don't like about the Rowboat Heresy is Lorgar, Guilliman, Vulkan, Corax, Sang and Dorn. What is the point of having these characters if you are going to go way and beyond to change their personalities?

@romeobelisario3190 Год назад
I mean other than Lorgar, I wouldn’t they’re all too different from their canon counterparts, at least in the beginning. All the author does is add a major event in her life that makes them a little more bitter, a little more paranoid, and Chaos only needs a small window to chip away at before totally corrupting. The way he wrote in these new flaws made sense in the context of the story.

@@romeobelisario3190 If you change your character's backstory and personality so much that if you changed their name, you would get an oc character with few relation of what the original is, then you are creating original characters. @TheAngryXenite
@TheAngryXenite Год назад
@@nick_a91 Yeah, the synopsis leaves a LOT of very important context out that helps clarify some things. In general, the divergence is that the Primarchs showed up on their homeworlds in slightly different places or times, causing their upbringings to go differently. Jagathai showed up closer to the Palatine forces, which meant he was raised by them and not the Talskar, and thus picked up a cruel streak and a distrust for authority when the Palatine turned against him anyway. Vulkan crashed down into a Salamander nest, and was raised by Kesare. However, Salamander young know instinctively to leave after a while because their parents will kill them otherwise, while Vulkan stayed and was subsequently devoured by the being he knew as a mother. This combined with the early revelation of him being a Perpetual FUCKED him up. Sanguinius was raised not by the tribes out in the wastes but handed off to one of the vaults, which instilled into him an even worse disdain for the mutant and uncertainty over his wings (and made his desperation over the Thirst much worse). Etc.

@@TheAngryXenite Don’t forget that Dorn’s first contact from outside the Inwit system wasn’t the Emperor, it was the Orks, and in a costly drawn out war to repel the Greenskins, he lost almost EVERYTHING. He had to continuously throw more troops and resources into the war, losing the love of his people has he became more of a tyrant to them, more of his home as it was constantly sieged, he even lost the Phalanx, destroying it to deny the Orks a valuable weapon. In the end he lost his stalwart nature and became far moodier, prone to bouts of violence and a belief that mortals were weak and needed Transhuman rule to be kept in check.
