EA vs. Popcap: Some have told me to stop blaming EA for everything because it's Popcap who makes the games at their core, and while this is correct, some other information I've received has led me to think another way. Some commenters have stated that it was EA who began firing Popcap workers who worked on the original games, replacing them with new EA employees, resulting in the games we see today. I have not done enough research into the matter (clearly) and I don't want it to seem like I have, maybe I should have done a bit more research before making the video, but I also only expected it to get 30 views, so I didn't expect to have every PvZ expert come out of the woodwork and watch it. I thank all the comments for letting me know this information, but I still haven't done the research myself, so until I do, Fuck EA, that stupid company, they are dumb. 2.) Play PvZ Eclise or just mod the game: First thing, saying a game is only good when modded, usually means it's not a great game. I'm happy that some of you can enjoy it on it's modded version, but I tend to play the base versions of the games, and have my opinions based on those. As far as Eclise goes, I have been made aware of it's existence, I have also looked into downloading it (doesn't look too hard) so you may see a future stream or video on it in the future, but as of right now, nothing is planned. 3.) BFN: I've had many comments saying they enjoyed battle for Neighborville or telling me it's better on the switch. I'm glad you could get some enjoyment out of the game, I really am, but for me it just wasn't what I wanted, or expected. I wish I could have bought it day one and been super happy with the product, but I just wasn't. This doesn't mean you won't enjoy the game, you could buy it and have hours of fun, it's just my opinion and experience at the end of the day. 4.) PvZ Heroes: Like I said in the video, I played this game very briefly and had only mere assumptions to make about it. The players who enjoy the game were very nice to me in the comments about it, many saying the game was very enjoyable and that the online was actually pretty fair and balanced even with all the micro transactions. So take their word as you will, it's probably better than mine, seeing as though I only played the game for about a week. 5.) Gameplay: As it says in the description, none of the gameplay is mine, I didn't record any of it, it was all taken from various different RU-vid channels, I take no credit for any of it, so if you recognize any of the names, that's why. 6.) Difficulty: Some people have been commenting that they beat PvZ 2 easily, and to those people I say, good job I guess what do you want from me, a cookie? 7.)Ending Song: Many have commented that I left out the best song of PvZ 1, the ending song. Let me tell you, it was left out on purpose. I have bigger plans for that song. Let's just say I made a sub goal a while back, and I plan on going through with it, at some point ;) 8.) Subscribe: And finally, some have mentioned that during the subscribe bit at the end I say "Subscribe if you like women" this was meant in the literal sense, if you don't subscribe, you're sexist. It was a trap the whole time, and now 80% of you are sexist pigs. Don't be a sexist pig, subscribe.

A popcap employee actually said most of the executive decisions are made by popcap and not EA so even though microtansactions are EA’s “thing” popcap probaly decided it

I'm glad that I finished _Plants vs. Zombies_ when I was a kid. I'll never forget that moment when the Sunflower singing while the zombies and plants are dancing on the lawn which it's one of the greatest video game endings of all time.

As a former EA employee: EA always has subtle hints about how future and current projects will go. For example, the thumbnail of Popcap Games includes the Popcap Games logo in the lower left, and a zombie moving to the right. After EA bought the studios, the thumbnail was of the Popcap Games logo in the lower left, EA logo in the lower right and the zombie facing to the left, moving towards the Popcap Games logo. Get the hint? :)

You know that EA is not the one making them right? It's popcap is the one who's making them and EA is just the publisher

Honestly, the artstyle of PvZ was really iconic and great, idk why they made it like that in pvz3. It is no longer plants vs zombies anymore.

Man I LOVED that title card. The zombies just rising from the ground, and the plants scrambling together to protect an idiot, Crazy Dave. I loved this game so much, remember playing it for the first time as a kid. It was full a creativity and wasn't violent or anything, and was a laid back experience that was fun to play. Never going to forget this game. And then GW came out. I was so hyped for this, it seemed so sick, but I couldn't ever play it once because it costed money. Now EA, a bunch of fat bastards took over the all the games that I loved. It'll probably never be the same, and sorry to whoever wasted their time reading my ramblings, but yeah.

I always loved the snowpea when I played the chinese version, but ever since it got banned and EA took over Pvz2 words cannot described just how frustrated and angry I felt, the sin of Wrath narrows in comparison to my frustration, I honestly just wished every plant that everyone knows and love would one day be able to be unlocked without spending your whole sallery [which is honestly impossible to happen]

plants vs zombies and angry birds shall never be forgotten, the franchise may as well be dead because of greediness, but we will never forget what made it great

PVZ2 was kinda easy at the start, then since the introduction of the ice age timeline it started to become more and more difficult. Then apparently due to the big size of the app they removed the back ground music. Fortunately I stopped playing before that. PVZGW looks like one of those good games from the PSX/N64 era that had a good studio release a game for the next or the next after the next generation. PVZ3 looks like one those good games from the psx/n64 era again but this time the owners decided to have a mediocre or inferior studio to make the next installment for the series.

For people who keep saying: popcap good EA bad, POPCAP ARE THE ONES WHO MADE PVZ 1 AND 2, POPCAP ADDED THE MICRO TRANSACTIONS! *EA JUST PUBLISHES THE GAMES*

Imagine if EA didn't buy Popcap. A micro-transaction free, available to almost all devices, and an amazing sequel.

I remember watching my friend play this when we went camping for a school field trip. No phones were allowed but he sneaked one in, and I remember I beat a very hard level on his phone!

BfN was genuinely the most fun experience ive ever had with this franchise in like 7 years.

Man, I was a dumb (and fun) kid. I got my two younger sisters into the game and then we’d pretend to be plants and zombies in our room, reenacting the entire game outside the screen. Childhood is adorable.

The original pvz art style will always have a place in my heart. I don't know wtf is going on with the other 2D graphics. Even pvz2 art style looks like it was pulled from a dollar store shelf.

If you never got to play PvZGW2 in its prime you missed out. It was up there with titan fall 2, bf1, and mw2. So unique and well done. No other game has even come close

If you're wondering why PvZ 3 has 3D graphics, it's because it's much cheaper to animate. 2D skeletal animation is very intricate, and if you have many characters with different bodies, it really is a hassle to keep developing for it.

Contrary to popular belief, EA, while they did influence the downfall of pvz, popcap actually made MOST of the decisions, INCLUDING the microtransactions. So.... D o y o u r r e s e a r c h b e f o r e y o u m a k e a a r g u m e n t .

Laura Shigihara is a blessing to this world. She's such a talented musician, programmer, and singer. And EA treated her, and all the other original developers of PVZ, like dirt, and fired them for disagreeing with EA's new approach to the games. If that isn't a reason to hate EA I don't know what is.

When I started playing Pvz2 after so many years, i immediately dropped it when i found out that like half the plants were locked behind paywalls.

I encourage everyone to stop supporting companies like Activision/Blizzard and EA. There are so many great independent studios that create games with passion and innovation that deserve this support. These flesh-eating ghouls think that the rose-colored glasses of nostalgia are a sufficient disguise to hide their true intentions. Sure, these publishers may put out something approaching a decent game every now and then by working with a good studio or spanking the butt of one of their studios, but they'll use those profits to do more harm, so even supporting their non-flagrant games is negative in the long run. They are laughing at you all the way to the bank.

Wow when the music kicked in from the title screen i lost words, sometimes peopla can’t express them self in words but i can atleast say i am very happy to have been playing the first Plants vs Zombies as a child. I got reminded of the games i played as a child, like Strike force heroes, raze, lego star wars the complete saga, lego batman the videogame and so much more. I really miss those child times but ive learned that even tho you grow up, you will still be a child sometimes and appreciate the same things. Even tho most of the games are 100 times easier now then back then hahaha!

I recently replayed pvz 1, and I ended up spending 20 hours on it. I love it more than I remembered how much I loved it. It's that good. Pvz2 is incredibly fun but it's so difficult. They just do stupid gimmicks like "dOn'T leT tHe ZoMbiEs TrAmPle ThE fLoweRs" and it hinders the gameplay and the fun. Big wave beach was my favorite level conceptually and its so difficult that it just becomes unfun. In the first game, you can just wind down and relax and play it, and the difficulty is so perfect. It doesn't hold your hand but it doesn't crucify you. PVZ3 has none of the charm of either and it's just abysmal. It looks more boring than a bootleg mobile game. These games no longer feel like games you can just sit down and play, these feel like unnecessary time investments. Also, great video! This had a lot of charm, and I love the editing style.

EA is actually freaking smart. They made a really good impression to the players at first, then they began to add pay to win method, release small updates time by time and using forced ads to make the game easier to players.

Bruh PvZ was literally my childhood, was playing from 6-8 years old with my father almost everyday, on my pc, it was the most ive had in a game, found pvz 2 in playstore, got uninstalled in less then 15 minutes
