Thank you for the helpful review! I am planning on trying the Light phone. My favorite phone of all time was the Blackberry. I love my iphone, but too addictive (or I am too easily distracted).
@@folksurvival I just got an iPhone last week, I couldn't take it, I caved. BUT it's a great little phone! No problems with it at all. It's also a great conversation starter. Absolutely no regrets.
It sucks that there’s no sliding phones anymore like when I was a kid. Like just a basic sliding phone with a tactile qwerty keyboard and no apps or anything. All the ones I can find don’t work in the US anymore because there’s no 2G and 3G towers.
I was very excited for the Light Phone. I would have bought one. But I'm not going to drop $300 for a phone with a variety of technical quirks and hiccups. At that price, each of the limited features should be well-polished. The big one for me is the QWERTY keyboard -- texting, note-taking should be a breeze. Reviews make it seem like using the keyboard is almost as much of a struggle as a T9. To the people who love it, though, I'm glad you do. I wish I could join you.
You definitely have to weigh it for yourself. It was worth it for me but is not for everyone. There are more and more models of phones available all the time. Good luck in your journey! 😊
I think that at $350 the Light Phone 2is much too expensive for what it is. Consider, for example, the Cat S22 Flip. it's 2/3 the price of the LP2 yet offers much more functionality. And my Nokia2720 Flip makes it worse. It too offers much more functionality yet I paid just $120 for it...
Why would you spend 350$ to do what a 45$ Nokia will do at the same quality? My Nokia 225 and my 110, both 4g, were each 45$ my monthly bill with TELLO is 8$ unlimited t and t. With Twigby it's 11$ for same.
@@TheTuareg It literally is though. Nobody is tying you up and holding your eyelids open and forcing you to watch youtube, you make the choice to do it. If you can't make the decision to not watch then who can make that decision for you?
Let me know if you do. I will be interested to know what you think. Check out the discord channel. You can see what's happening in real-time. :) Good luck!
i really really really wish, that apple will make an iPhone mini, to a "minimalistic iPhone" with an e ink display and a batterie life of 2 weeks or more. don't need youtube or any other entertainment. just apps which helps you out with information, organization and when really needed youtube for information in black and white 1pps. please. maybe just an kickstarter project with an "send in iPhone and get back with e ink display" would be huge! for me at least and maybe many other people who believe in digital detox or just want longer batterie life.
