I like the irony of the footage of Billy Mitchell at the PIXELS premiere considering the character in the film that seems inspired by Billy ends up being a cheater.

Honestly... the fact that Billy Mitchell was able to notice that he was briefly mentioned by some random youtuber (with a daily traffic of "mere" few dozen thousand views), contact a lawyer, and send the following threat within two weeks, is kinda impressive.

This is absurd, you can't sue someone for criticism.

Now that I think about it, "That isn't me, and even if it was me, it would still be okay," is one of those weird arguments you see pathological liars with narcissistic personality types make a lot, too. It's one of those weird tells, because you would think that if they're going to deny it, they wouldn't need to defend the evidence presented. But it seems they're so obsessed with their own image that even if they try to deny the evidence presented of them is real, they still have to defend it because they must have a compulsive need to defend themselves against detractors.

Greetings all. I was as close to the situation as you could be back in 2018 when the dispute of Billy's DK scores was taking shape. I was friends with Billy Mitchell and Robert Childs and regularly hosted an event called "Retro Arcade Night" at Robert's Business "Arcade Game Sales" in Fort Lauderdale, FL with them for years periodically. When I was told of this dispute of his DK scores, I befriended a technician by the name of Carlos Pineiro and we proceeded to volunteer our time, initially on behalf and in defense of Billy Mitchell for 6 weeks, testing the actual and original equipment(Arcade PCB,Two Bit Converter, Capture Card) that they told us was the original equipment used to play and record the games in dispute. We had no reason to believe that we were being lied too, as again I had been friends with Bill and his best friend Robert for more than 7 years. But after 6 weeks of testing and then being privy to the digitized copies of his 1.047 and 1.050 games to examine frame by frame, we realized what the core of the dispute was and you could clearly see the emulated signatures all throughout the footage of those games and the equipment that we had to test would never produce the way the game generates it's stages( 3 girders instead of 5 on a arcade PCB, etc..) hence these games are NOT arcade rendered. I am a legitimate world record holder on the classic game Mario Bros. and I know what it takes to play for a record on some of these classic titles. It's a challenge and the integrity of the scoreboard that celebrates the players achievements of these records should never be compromised or amongst fraudulent scores where players deliberately cut corners and deceived the community for years. What's even worse then lying is trying to sue and threaten other people as a result of your lie. Unacceptable and inexcusable. I vouch for everything eloquently stated by Karl on this video. Jace Hall was the perfect choice to take over Twin Galaxies. He's actually a former speedrunner himself, and also one of the founders of Monolith, the creators of FEAR and the Middle Earth games.

Anyway this story is so bad, the futher you go into his explanations, the funnier it gets. Trying to convince people that the Donkey Kong game isn't 60.60Hz even after a technician verify it makes it even worse. I love the east side dave tv interview. Its an entertaining way to do interviews. Everytime I revisit the billy Mitchel saga I quite like the little segment with them in it.

My favourite part of the lawsuits are his claims he started and grew a hotsauce business all on his own in 1980, despite being 15 years old at the time and getting the business from his father. This man doesnt even know which of his lies are lies anymore. 🤣
