I think it might be more for line control though. Having two bottles is easier than one when you need a bunch of little kids to get hand sanitizer, and splitting it into a boys line and girls line is one of the easiest ways to split a class into two somewhat equal groups. Sure it does seem pointlessly gendered, but it might serve some sort of purpose if you think about it from a teacher's point of view.

Lady, my mom's raised me exactly like this and it was the most wonderful gift! I also have a year older brother and now looking back at our childhood all those gender stereotypes don't hold up. I can't tell with absolute certainty this is all thanks to her approach, but now I'm always the leader in every group project, I'm not afraid to ask for what I want, have a lot of interests that require intellectual skills (for some reason, apart from writing it's all considered as manly stuff) and so on. One downside however is that I wasn't living in a right place and time for that. I went to the only school avalible in my conservative area and teachers have quickly decided that I'm somehow broken. I remember a lesson on shyness targeted especially for me, the point wasn't to teach you tools to deal with it, no, it was to show me that girls are ashamed of all these things they spoke about (nearly everything) but I dare to be ashamed of almost nothing (just like boys in my class). Also I couldn't be accepted neither by other girls because I was 'rude' and 'weird' and boys because...a girl, bleh. It quickly evolved into physical violence from other kids but whenever I defended myself it was only my fault and I was getting punished because girls can't do violence no matter what. My brother had similar experiences. So I'd advise to watch out for that and maintain perfect trust with your kids that will ensure tham that you won't always take other adult's side. I wouldn't expect it though with how much better things are now, especially in anglosaxon culture sphere (not mine). I suppose there are more parents like you where you live and your kids will have normal childhood. Best wishes for you, you rock!

With dogs its different. Dogs are male or female. Dogs know their biological gender and don't conform emotionally too another gender. 🤷 and i already have enough people thinking my dog is a girl bc he's 10lbs and so cute. No he's a man. Balls and all.

I’ve seen more black and grey for men, and pink and that sickeningly pastel shade of purple for women.

Yeah, Yogi Tea was founded by a kundalini yoga teacher, and the teas are all (to my knowledge) based around ayurveda. The ingredients are probably thought to interact differently with male and female bodies. Don't know whether they actually do, but I think that's the idea.

When I went to buy my glasses and was choosing the frames for them I walked automatically to the “men’s frames” to pick a pair and my mum literally tapped my shoulder and said “Amber the girls frames are over here” so I reluctantly walked over and I am now stuck with a pair of purple pointy glasses

actually people do have different sized heads. Men and Women do have typically different shaped jaw lines. Mens jaws tend to be more square and square jaws are seen as more masculine features. Not that women cant have a squarer jaw but that on average more men do. and shapes of sunglasses can portray a more masculine or feminine look.... so whatever you want to go for. things are gendered typically because thats what the market/consumers want. now you have to ask yourself who makes up majority of the market? It is in fact women!.Women typically want things to be pretty or cute and are often willing to pay more for something that is cute or pretty even if its function is the same as a "mans" product. Amber you should have told you mom you didnt want purple pointy glasses. Doesnt seem like you put up much resistance and you mom just thought you were looking in the wrong section. You could have corrected her that you liked the mens glasses more design wise. You are upset but it seems the predicament you are in is largely your own doing.
