Ram, I'm a little older than you, and I've run a few cows when I was a lot younger. It looks to me like, when them boys get a little wider at the shoulder your gonna have near a expert range crew. They'll be a bundle of energy and full of common sense . A perfect combination. And I can't blame it on anybody but they're leadership. You and , your wife have done a fine job. And a pleasure to watch. Thanks for sharing.
I love how you all work together with little to no communication. To wit, the boy (sorry, I don't track names) that brought the bunch over the hill, then turned back when he saw that you and the other boy were ready for them. Also that you know that he turned back for a good reason, and whatever that is that he can handle it, and that he knows you know that. Soooo nice to see a group operate like this, even better that it's young kids.
This is probably your best episode to date. I grew up in the 60s watching Rawhide and wagon train. If we'd had programs like yours back then you'd have ruled the ratings system for years. Just watching your kids grow up living the life of a real cowboy is more interesting and educational than anything I watched as a child. Keep up the great work!
Really enjoy your videos. The longer the better. Beautiful scenery. Look forward next one. I often watch older videos and enjoy watching those precious kids.
I absolutely love your Adventures while ranching…. This is how kids should grow up. Your kids will go far as they know how to think for themselves, problem solve, ranch and drive anything. I really enjoy watching them team rope, they are so talented after learning to rope the wild cattle on your ranch Keep sharing your adventures, we love it!!!!
Rough terrain, tough cowboys and darn good horses! Enjoy all your videos. Best of everything to the Hughes family from an 78 yr old retired Tarheel at Olive Branch, N.C.
Thank you for working so hard to feed America 🇺🇸. Great video. Love the beautiful scenery. The camera doesn’t do it justice I’m sure. God bless you and your beautiful family. Thanks again for feeding us. 🙋🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
You're set up in the perfect place if a major calamity happens, whether it's an EMP, a natural disaster, a 'zombie apocalypse', or civil unrest. You have your own water and food supply, your own electricity, and - most important of all - the knowledge and experience to survive anything. Anchor Brand Ranch is great example of self-sufficiency. And if you're prepared for a zombie apocalypse, then you're prepared to handle anything.
This is what good 'ol Ramzi Jr is missing so much . . . and his mama and lil' brothers and sis . . . but he seems to be adjusting well and getting good counsel from others . . . . Love your vids . . . so real and raw. Thanks for your channel. Please keep it coming.
We got a “squirrel full of trees here”. What an awesome office, gatherin’ your own cows and calves, with the boys, on your own horses, on your own land in a pretty place on the planet. Enjoyed this one for sure!
The variety of terrain and vegetation in that area never ceases to amaze me. It goes from sparse desert, to grassy meadows, to thick forest, to rock covered mountain sides. It's truly a beautiful region.
What a full video of cattle driving...always enjoy seeing the boys and doggos working together. That's quite the terrain you run up there. I giggled a little with the "Clancy" reference, I loved that movie. Cant wait to see what's next.
Best RU-vid channel In my opinion !... I'm living my life's fantasy's through you and your family ... Some back story on Florida And the Kickapoo valley would be helpful ...
That is some amazingly beautiful country!! ❤❤ Looks like your riding in a painting, especially like that lake area, that was unbelievable! Thank you for the great family videos.
Just as you said snake a commercial came on. That would be a cold hideout at 8,000 feet in winter. Beautiful scenery. May need to put a dog collar on the kids to keep track of them.
Love watching these types of videos, a dad and his boys on horseback miles from home up in the mountains searching for cattle. We need more of this on the RU-vid!!!!!!😢
Great horses, great dogs, the best cowboys in the whole world, and a beautiful place. This video made me feel like I was there, riding along with you even thou, I dont know how to ride a horse. Love ALL of your videos,
Well y'all had a real good day today I hope you all got you cattle down safe thank you so much for them shots you took of the scenery sure they look beautiful up there I hope you got all your cattle out safe and two boys you have right there work like men but they are men and got a good daddy with them I just want to let you all know what I really enjoy you making these videos for us you look good sitting in your saddle and you got it broken for you yet thanks again buddy for the video unless you get back I know you got a hard day coming now you don't need to listen to my babbling appreciate you another one and be nice and again thank you so much and I hope everything works out when you get all your cattle down your friend Billy
It sure has been a busy time lately but little by little we are getting things done. Maybe not everything we need to do but we are trying. Nice to hear from you Billy Thanks
Nothing worse than riding a horse that doesn’t know how to handle their feet in rough country. I had a appy that was part mountain goat and part mule he thought. Would go through pretty much anything and never miss a step. We did a 75 mile 3 day trail ride through rough country where there was a rock under a every blade of grass. That horse would go through deep mud, any kind of water, steep climbs and if he saw a mule go somewhere he wanted to go too. He was 21 the last time he did that ride. And it was in july where temps were usually around 110 or up.
The end of the video where you’re following the cow path thru the trees brung back a whole lotta memories of my childhood… the cows had all kinds of paths and trails thru the brambles that horses barely got thru and cowboys on horseback had no chance. We had a Shetland pony that was an uncooperative little poopoo head but he absolutely shined at getting the cows outa the tight pockets he’d bite the cows on their butts and force them out, somehow he’d turn his body enough so he wasn’t the one getting kicked it would be little idiot on top that would come home with the bruises on his feet and legs…
I was wondering if you'd be staying in the zombie apocalypse cabin. Nice to see it standing strong! I love that country down there! Your boys getting used to being youtube famous yet? 😎
you folks run country that is definatly a young mans country! Makes for fantastic horses and the very best of tough young men. God bless you and your family. Heaven help all us ranchers.
❤🎉 Whew I will never look at my burger or steak the same again. The feet and ability of your horses is insane, to handle such terrain. 😮 Whoops I made a rhyme lol. Cows too but their lower center of gravity is to their advantage. This was my Saturday night movie, totally entertaining and engaging, and much appreciated. Thanks for your videos!! 🐎⭐❤️😍🙏☺️🥰
Enjoyed watching...reminds me of places we used to trail ride in....Closed my eyes thru most the snake chatter lol...not a fan of them big or small. Your sons are getting an experience that can never be replaced...great job Dad.
Well Ram, Riley and Rance took a couple of days to gather a good bunch to get back to the ranch No zombie gold though! Did find some water which is as good as gold!
I sure should come join ya one of these days! Always good to see a video of the Mtn! Looks like you found the Dope growers operation. Dug a bunch of plants out back in the day with Search And Rescue and the Sheriff's Office!
Love your videos! I am always happy when I see that there is a new ABR video😁 You should adopt a few mustangs & train them so you have some real good mountain ponies like Pickle🌟Thank you for the work that you put into the videos❣️
Looks like an old marijuana grow sight… I’ve found a few of the same sights very similar but on the other side of that mtn by oak grove area… now that our government has made marijuana pretty much legal They don’t have to go to as much trouble growing it
Good watch. Your video is a good example of why on average it takes a square mile of land to pasture beef in the dry west. Your sons & you will have some special memories of workin cattle in your video. My great grandad was a cattle & horse drover & he worked the area from Montana to Arizona. When He was young he & His family came up Applegate Trail & they homesteaded a place in Willamette Valley. You make a good video
Love the terrific life examples you practice in your family that all of us can use❣️ Thanks for sharing. Lights on the arena look great (saw them on another vlog) 💕🤗From East Texas
Found ya cuz the machines, enjoyed cuz the adventure and staying fer the family!!! GREAT STUFF!!!! Hope yer Kenworths and D8 plus the top secret project make a presence soon! Cheers from Santa Cruz Ca
sure is beautiful country but hard for any weaklings , Them young guys are going to be great adults , hard working with common sense and respectful ...
I think I remember the pine mountain gather from last fall, maybe? I love how you can just park those ranch norses and they wait for you. Pretty spot coming into that reservoir. How many years do i have to wait to ride with ABR ..?
How much of this land on which you operate do you own and how much is public/government land ? Either way beautiful land, and great to see real ranching instead of tv bs.
This mountain there collecting cows off of is pine valley mtn it is owned by the forest service…. And there are multiple people/ranchers that run there cows on this mountain…. There is some private land around the base of the mountain and some in the small town of pine valley but all of the top of the mountain is miss managed forest service land There been 2-3 giant wind fires on top up there in the last 10 years and they don’t even attempt to put them out .. a lot of beautiful land was destroyed
Riley is my favorite but I love them all including you 😂. Love what you do love cattle have not rode a horse since i was 17 now I'm 55 so i know my butt would be sore but i would love it thanks again for being your self 🙏👍
I stumbled upon your show I like it it's outdoorsy you prove the kids don't have to be in a public school and you could still live your life and I used to stay in some of the places and states where you're at so it's really cool you know the boys got it going on in the ranch
Shute, no zombie apocalypse money? God dam was waiting for that rattler to sound off and strike out at y'all. Them tha cows do alright on those mountain pastures. Pickle the wild mustang was in his element up there.
I am surprised that those bitin', fightin' cows don't jump the fence too! Ole' notckear horse probably thinks he was sold a bill of goods when he was told that he was going to a be a rope horse!
When he gets his chance at roping he might think of being a super good one in hopes of being put on the rodeo string rather than general ranch duty 😜⚓️
Shows how important a horse that watches the ground is in that country! Also the look on your boys face when you said to pull that tarp out! But dont get snake bit lol!
