I still use Tumblr. I am glad to say that I have avoided drama and other things. To be honest I do miss the NSFW stuff. People being so open about it made me feel better about myself (we are all dirty bastards XD).

I'm still an active user of tumblr, I haven't felt much change other than the lack of NSFW. Still wish they would bring that back, maybe someday.

There's gonna be as many Tumblr purges as there are Purge movies... T.T

If tumblr wants me to leave they can drag my corpse out. Its a hellsite but its my hellsite. Where am i gonna go??? Facebook? instagram? i think not. I'm staying with tumblr and its creepy ads about teeth and no one can stop me

There are parking lots out there that are worth more than Tumblr. Imagine.

Based on my own experience I can say tumblr is/was one the most comfortable places to kinda explore sexuality. It made it so you can dip your toes in without any sort of commitment and most blogs were run by lovely that were always very helpful, while most social media encouraged participation tumblr just let you be a lurker. I have seen some of it survive but most of it have disappeared. I still don’t feel there’s any website as convenient to navigate fandom wise so I’m staying with it for now, let’s see how things change.

There are no "family friendly" social media platforms. No matter where you are, there is NSFW content EVERYWHERE, so there's no point on banning everything.

now I get my NSFW stuff from places like twitter & discord speaking from my personal view I don't really miss Tumblr as much anymore

I miss the old tumblr and the adult content A LOT but I mostly stopped visiting the site on principle. They took our community's freedom of content out of greed, so we should give them the exact opposite of what they want: Less traffic. There is an amazing tumblr alternative called Newtumbl, but unfortunately there aren't enough people there to be really enjoyable yet.

I'm using tumblr only for searching for fanarts. I think I will survive it's end but unfortunatelly looking for new Ineffable Husbands content will be harder.

I still get plenty of adult content on my dash. The only difference I see is that certain pages are now marked as "adult content" and you have to do some extra clicking to access it, but that's it

Ironically, I've gotten more porn bot followers since the tumblr purge. Sure, they don't appear as regularly as before, but they appear more in waves. I'll get a surge of them once or twice a month, whereas before I'd get a porn bot follower once on a bimonthly basis.

And here I thought that Pornhub was going to buy Tumblr. But to answer your questions. As an rper on Tumblr, there are a lot ads on the site then normal, the font is slowly but surely changing once again. It's irritating to say the least. I'm a nsfw rper who has been censored because of boobs. Political boobs. Smh, they just really need to get it together. Thank you for listening to rant for a moment.

I'm still on Tumblr (though I'm by no means active). I personally haven't really seen too much of a difference, since I mostly go on Tumblr for comics and fan theories, but I really do miss all the nsfw works that was on that site, as it was a huge bonus. Also, was really sad and disheartening to see some of my favorite nsfw artists pack up shop and leave the site, I'm gonna miss their works. :( But yeah overall Tumblr kinda sucks now in my opinion. I mean, it's still ok if you have interest in basically anything else, but the hard ban on nsfw content really sucks the fun out of it. I'd personally just branch out to other sites. :/

This has happened before, and it will keep happening until we get something similar to the OTWs' Ao3. Fandom spaces get built up and torn down all the time, that's exactly why the OTW was founded. Livejournal was the most recent before tumblr, but there was also things geocities, yahoo groups and a plethora of other indie sites. If we keep treating these spaces forever acquired, we will keep being blindsighted

1) To me Tumblr feels quieter. I don't get as much traction on my content as I used to 2) I don't think there will be a new purge any time soon, at least nothing as big and noticeable as the last time 3) I've moved to Twitter at the time, but there are a few people on my fandom circle who decided to go back to tumblr recently (Side note: On these past weeks, for like two days people got super paranoid on Twitter about some policies and a lot of people started making DA accounts. The movement died down quickly enough, but that's something that happened lol) 4) Yeah, definately do miss the adult content in the way tumblr presented it. Twitter is just... not quite the same.

I left Tumblr a while before the purge, but getting into the twenty one pilots and good omens fandoms I've used Twitter. On the good omens side, I miss tumblr's ease of navigation of tags, longer posts, and user profile interfaces, but ive found a lot of great artists. As far as twenty one pilots and other bandom i think that type of fandom is best suited for Twitter. Short blurbs of ideas and lots of image sharing without the expectation of going back through a person's account to find the rest of their content is easier on twitter than it was on Tumblr. i kinda miss it but im content with staying on twitter for now

I saw that there was no change in my experince, but things just got very toxic in the fandom spaces I was in and very full of drama. I can't put up with seeing that sadness so I haven't really been on there lately.

I went to Tumblr for the fandom shenanigans, and I stayed for the fandom shenanigans as well as the flat-out absurdity and shitposting that goes on there. NSFW images were rarely in my orbit; NSFW writing was a little more frequent. That's pretty much still the case. Oh, and I think bots still follow me???

I hope a new social media platform comes up that can merge some of the benefits of tumblr and Twitter. I’m on twitter more now because I feel like there’s more interaction there whereas tumblr will always be my number one safe space to scream into the void 😂

Not a tumblr user, but definitely hope we don’t see another purge. In regards to adult content, while it may leave certain spaces, banning it doesn’t stop it from existing. Each fandom space has its pros and cons, so users will have to find a space that suits them.

I don't really like the format of twitter for viewing and responding to fanart/fic otherise that's been a decent subsitute. I get the most fandomwise out of discord groups, but that does make it harder to come across new creators. sigh.

I'd left tumblr ages before the last purge as it was a place I just wasn't enjoying (still occasionally went on to check fanart but I'd deleted my account). Recently I made a new one to see what it was like now and check out a new fandom which so far has been a lot of fun, I just block a lot of tags and users that I can't be bothered dealing with. Not that they'll ever know which is even better (Lurking is very useful for this kind of thing). But this is mainly because I honestly have no idea where else I would go because I refuse to make a new twitter account, which I hear is a big place where artists have moved to. I'm very out of the loop for places that aren't Ao3 or tumblr.

I have to admit, this made me smile. As far as whether or not Tumblr's changed, I can't really say, (I left during the purge & haven't been back. I'm a hobby artist and I saw TONS of friends who were artists both NSFW and fully SFW get flagged or locked out of their accounts because of the use of bots to 'clean up the perversion' and even the SFW artists having to fight for a week or two straight just to get their accounts back, and that....ugh, yeah, that just didn't sit right with me.) but a lot of people jumped ship to Twitter and I've noticed a vast increase in art, porn, and hostile people who just want to fight, so...yeah, I think they're all from Tumblr. I've been told by the friends I have who still use it that it's definitely not improved since the purge, it's just more rigid in restrictions. Kinda wish PornHub would've successfully bought them post-purge just for the sheer comedy of it.

I left tumblr shortly after the purge since a large number of blogs that I followed left the platform. I mostly moved to Twitter but it's not the same. I miss the old tumblr.

I experienced a rippling effect; I wasn't there for the NSFW, but users I followed were and they followed and reblogged a lot of NSFW content. Their subscriptions were hit, and a lot dropped off or slowed down, which effected my own flow of content. Now there's only 1 blog I ever visit (a fanfiction archive) and I never even log in anymore

Very sad that the adult content was banned because the tagging system was unlike any other social media's. I can hop on Twitter and look up "[insert fandom] nsfw" but chances are I'm not gonna find nearly as much. I haven't stopped using tumblr but the amount I interact with fandoms has definately decreased

Ngl, I barely log into it and I still get swarmed w bots/porn bots pretty often. Not only that, when I posted art it always got flagged even if it was just a picture of hands. The system is broken, even though I blocked and muted things they still show up, etc..For SFW people yeah the site is probably not 'dead' to you but it's dead to others. I speculate that wordpress will scrap tumblr and probably make people pay for it in the future. And then people can dance on the ashes of something that was once great but not anymore.

I honestly haven't noticed much of a change in my Tumblr experience since the purge, but I don't traffic much in NSFW content on there--most of that is on AO3 for me.

I haven't been on Tumblr in several months, to be honest I haven't find a replacement for it but I divided my search to several places, like Deviantart for fanart, Facebook groups for discussion of topics, inked and Wattpad for stories etc...

I’ve definitely noticed a the change since the purge. Even if I wasn’t the biggest consumer of nsfw content it was still just part of the variety and freedom of the site. I still use it and enjoy it but it doesn’t feel like the fandom hub that it used to. Do you have any advice on where I could transition to instead? I’ve not had good experiences with reddit, and I don’t particularly like twitter’s format, especially since followers can see which posts you like

I use tumblr occasionally, but as much as I miss when the site was active I'm more like "Ha good luck suckers" because of the fun craziness. It's probably the best place to shitpost nowadays

I've been on tumblr since the beginning and, honestly, all I noticed of a difference so far is that blogs dedicated to catter for the artistic side of nsfw are being bashed, because porn-bots keep appearing in many ways and shapes, I see many extremist blogs around (some even teaching how to do very bad things), and overall there's no real application for the whole ban aside from trying to poorly wipe their faces from some of the bad things.

I'm still on Tumblr, mainly because I have lots of followers on there and because I enjoy the fandom content I see on a daily basis...but the lack of NSFW content and the annoying politics from other users on the sight is starting to get to me. Hopefully things will get better with this new ownership.

I still use Tumblr daily. I do think there is less content in certain fandom circles now - tend to see the same posts reblogged over and over rather than a deluge of new stuff. I didn't really have much adult stuff ever appear on my dash but it feels like the users creating NSFW and SFW have taken their wears elsewhere wholesale.

Think Tumblr used to dominate my fandom experience but now it’s been downgraded and the empty space has been filled by a few different things the biggest of which is tik toc and musicaly.

I do miss adult content on Tumblr, but I thrive more on fluff than on smut, so it's more or less been the same for me...

I find that my Tumblr experience has changed since the Purge because I've been finding a lot more Anti content in place of "adult" ie underage character shipping by an adult, ships that are inherently meant to be unhealthy, changing characters who are canonically sympathetic to unsympathetic; as well as "absuive" ship hate, incest ship hate and quite a few more that make me wonder if this is because of the Purge or just the shift in fandom culture. Do I miss the adult content? Yes, because I am actually an adult and as a person who didn't realize they were a member of the LGBT+ community until I was well into high school I feel like I was behind the curve of learning myself again once I accepted my true Identity. While LGBT+ Content is apparently still available on Tumblr I know I'm not the only person who lost a Gender or Sexuality related blog on the site, and I've had a hard time tracking it down. And due to a completely nonadult related tag on a post, it was a tag about surgery and a Purge Hated Word may have been dropped like once, I did about a week ago caused the post to be taken down, and as I was finagling the tags so that wouldn't happen again I had to go through three different kinds of takedowns before I finally fixed it so the info would still be accessible to those who I thought should hear it, but also stick to Tumblr's rules. I dunno I've just been finding it bothersome.

i use twitter much more than tumblr now - the kylux shipping community (especially people who make transformative content) has DEFINITELY transitioned mostly to twitter, as a platform for both SFW and NSFW content. tumblr is, i think, now populated more by younger people who engage in fandom more innocently.
