The Entire Life of Don Lothario 

I miss how sims 2 had relationship percentages different for each sims. For example, you could be Cassandra who is deeply I love with Don, but Don is only slightly romantically interested in her. Whereas the sims 3 and 4 make it so if one sims is 100% interested romantically in the other, they both are at the same romance level. I like having storylines of one sims crushing while the other is not interested at all.

I agree 100% To me, the Sims 4 is really lacking in the drama department which was one of my favorite aspects of the Sims 2. Sometimes i feel as if the sims team is trying to water down the game.

Half the reason I can’t play the sims 4 for any long period of time is the lack of storyline and story progression. It gets so boring. Even though the sims 3 lags and graphics aren’t great I still play it and enjoy it more than the sims 4.

The first sim I ever played was Don. I made him have a party and after everyone left there was trash everywhere including an empty chip bag in front of the fridge. I didn’t know how to move the camera angle so I didn’t know there was something blocking the fridge and he died of hunger.... because of an empty chip bag lol oops

I miss that about Sims 3. It felt like I was entering a town and learning the people and their drama, but in Sims 4, it's like the whole town was empty before you created a sim and jumped in. It's a little frustrating

I really hate how The Sims 4 has no storyline at all, we get that "it's another timeline" but no one knows anyone besides their own households, Sims don't have jobs and the story progression is shit, if you don't have mccc nothing happens in the game.

I mean it's not that tedious for EA to make relationships as its literally the game developers jobs to make a game,,,, so you'd think they'd actually like,, do that

I had one of my sims have an accidental pregnancy with don, and they didn’t stay together (obviously) but he would come around all the time to feed the kids, push them on the swings, and just hung out with them on his own accord :’)

I would really love to see some story lines in TS4 because I love adding a sim to my family and then realising they love to play the piano and also have the Fengs as enemies like that would be so cool

The producer of Sims actually said they lost Bella’s file from Sims 2 so that’s why her storyline is very weird. It was reveled in the EA Sims podcast.

in my save file i went in & edited ALL the premades' relationships, careers, skills, etc. with ui cheats to make them consistent & it only took me like an hour to do, also yeeted katrina caliente right out of there bc she is a FRAUD! I do think EA has gotten better with premades, i really enjoy the strangerville & sulani townies, but it's a shame that the like, iconic premades were so bare-bones - also can we talk about how ea WHITEWASHED dina, nina, don, bella, AND cassandra?? in the sims 2, their skintones are the second-to-farkest, but in sims 4 they're suddenly pale?? EH???? sorry for ranting afkkdsk i'm just very passionate about these sims which is why i LOVE these videos! maybe you could do a video on the drama in veronaville? bc there's some real tea to be spilled there

I love this series so much! Though it's always so sad and disappointing when you get to the storylines in sims 4 😒 I wish they would've done a better job there

I played Sims 2 after Sims 3 and when I first went into the pre-made sims households I was mindblown by the detail of their relationships. There was so much to discover and with every Sim you learned something new, it was amazing.

It just feels like the love for the Sims has completely gone, the lack of consistency in storylines, the lack of interaction with coworkers and fellow students, the lack of dramaaaaa. Its so bland now, I hate having to make all of the drama myself. One of my favourite moments in the Sims 3 was my sim getting married and then discovering (when he finally moved into my household) that her new husband was the boyfriend of her best friend and her friend was expecting his baby! It was wild! There's no surprise anymore, no pizazz!

I really think the developers were in a rush to put out sims 4, if you really think about it the game came out missing soo many iconic sims stuff, toddlers, pools etc that they later patched in, if they took their time the game could of came out with all those things already in it, so its no surprise the characters are underdeveloped.

Could you do a sims 2 save file on the sims 4?? Like with all the relationships etc already set up meaning that new players could experience the golden era of the sims!

I still think it is crazy that I never knew sims had storylines. I played Sims 2 but I still only ever created my own sims and locked them in pools 🤷🏼‍♀️

1-3 had such great stories and pre made relationships set up for characters. 4 is bland and part of the reason is that EA didn’t care to set anything up for anyone. Sims have made it into adulthood without ever making a friend? Really EA?

I love how in depth the stories of Sims 2 were so deep and so interesting. They weren't isolated, they felt like the spanned through the entire game and felt like they actually mattered. Sims 3 was still pretty good, but with the Sims 4 we lost all of that. Nothing is interconnected, no one has any real story, they just exist. There's almost no drive to play townies. I loved playing Townies in 1-3 but 4 I don't think I have once, I'd rather have my own story with a sim I created then have to create one/flesh one out for a sim I didn't. Which sucks because so many of mechanics in Sims 4 make such an improvement and make me really enjoy the gameplay aspect, but I just never bother with townies because they just feel like stock characters.

The Sims 2 was very realistic like with the relationships and the change tables and being able to bathe a baby in the sink and having to shop for clothes and food and the story lines are so interesting

I played sims 2 occasionally on the PlayStation when i was really young so I can’t really remember much of that BUT I played sims 3 for ages and finally gave in and moved to sims 4 in 2016. I haven’t played sims 3 since then and these videos just make me want to go back and play it

In The Sims 4, I made the questionable decision to put a Lothario in almost every world....Don't ask me why, I just like to see the drama happen.

I mean i love TS2 i just feel like they did such a great job like they had a fire in the company during the development of the TS2 and they had to start from scratch and they did such an awesome job and got soo creative on the storylines and didn‘t miss out on anything to make the game as it is , heck i still enjoy playing TS2 to this day at least it‘s never been as disappointing as TS4 , i mean if the fire didn‘t happen imagine the result ...

I remember trying to make Don be a family man in the Sims 2, and he kept getting whims to cheat. He was one of the most difficult Sims to play because I didn't have him cheat, so he was always unfulfilled.

When I first got sims 4 I was new to the sims so I made my simself and I married Don Because he was the only “ good looking” guy sim I saw. We ended up having like 6 kids and then I died at one of our daughters wedding. Then I kept playing with Don and because I realized that I could age them up using the Birthday cake Don was an elder while Bella Goth was still an adult so I made them get together and have more kids.

As everyone in one my Sims 4 game (base game) started aging up, I went to play the Lothario/Caliente household and it was composed of 3 teenagers and 1 male child. Don and Dina were elders and Nina had died of “old age”, and none of them lived the house. Before I had never played them in that game. 2 of the girls had the last name “Caliente ” and were the children of Nina and Don and the other one was their cousin, but had the last name Lothario. Both Nina and Dina had children with Don, but then later married to other men and moved out of the house, leaving the children by themselves when Katrina Caliente passed. Overall, A lot of the townies are Lothario or Caliente related. This all happened without me even playing their family before.

I have yet to play the sims 4 because of all your videos calling out EA for being lazy 💀

I do exactly what you do when it comes to tweaking everyone to have storylines. I placed an empty save and went from scratch. lol. SO tedious but satisfying that it's the way YOU want it.

All we can do is pray that EA brings back the drama in sims 5

I have also made a saved game fixing all the base game families the way they're supposed to be. I moved Don on his own, in an updated version of his sims 2 condo. Had him get into romantic relationships with Nina, Dina, and a few others in my town. I also changed Nina and Dina's appearances and personalities to be more like they were in the Sims 2. I basically re created the sims 2 in my sims 4 saved game, because i even added the Capps and Montys and recreated their beef lol

I’ve been playing the sims 2 because of you and man this game is wild. Lol. I started out with the goth family and did quite a bit of romance interactions with Don and Cassandra. I don’t even know how he agreed to marry her because the dude still ran even after a “Dream date” not to mention Mortimer died on their wedding day 👰🏾 🎩 ! Then I went to see how Don was doing after this whole ordeal and the dude was living his best life with his three other dalliances! Then every time he had a date Cassandra would come by the house and kick over his trash can! 😂😂 I was so weak. Then he brought one of his coworkers home and took her on a dream date and then brought her back for some woohoo and he got a promotion the next day because apparently she pulled some strings for him! But the maid was over his house when they woohoo’d (because I hired the service) and she slapped him silly after they were done! Bruh this game is wild. Omg where has it been all my life?!

6:00 Well.. He does have a negative Bella Being Abducted Memmory, so perhaps, someone else might just be pulling the strings... I mean, i know its quite odd, but Dina has a tree-floor house and its close to Don. She might have encourage him to invite Bella and plant the idea of an affair with her or something. Maybe he thought about the abduction, but the sims 2 only has ONE telescope model that increases the abduction chance, and the one in Don house its NOT that one, yet he still has a picture of him looking confident with Bella looking through the Telescope. Taking in count Bella TS4 Job, i imagine something like Dina making some kind of plan to use, for example, Nina, to contact her grandparents and send fake clues about possible confrontation by the Bella Org or something. Actually... In The Sims Online Interview, i think she spoke about Morty making the elixir of life, perhaps a possible motive could be pushing apart his love ones for a Permanent-Death Cure or something. idk

Omg yesss about the sims 4 not having enough pre-set relationships and such. I really miss the intricate and zany stories from sims 2 that you can still easily opt to not play. I hope that the next installment returns to this, or at least that Paralives does something similar

I can totally relate to this i started with the sims 2 and ever since then they have been lazy with the storyline, which has been a huge disappointment for myself it sucks. The little things mean a lot to us simmers I wish they would notice and or care just saying.

Yah I was disappointed to see that there was no history or memory with characters. I remember playing sims 2, seeing Dons life / relationships and it was fun to play him and carry out his storyline. It’s just a shame... 🤷🏼‍♀️✌🏻🤟🏻🙏🏻

In the Sims 4 Don also has a trust fund, If your sim is a certain level in the programming skill they can hack into it which is also strange. if he did teleport to the alternate timeline who started the fund?

Is your merch ethically made (workers paid living wages, no child labour, safe working conditions)?

I will say, Don has fathered some of the kids in my Sims 4 games, and he is an excellent father! My current save is 100 baby challenge. He fathered the first children and even though they are young adults and live on their own, he still comes by and helps with the current babies/toddlers, too!
