My son was in a semi professional production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was one of Jacob's sons. His name is Brandon. The guy playing Judah was a good sized kid, also named Brandon. And the middle schooler playing Benjamin was named Brandon. So the Director referred to them as "The Brandons" and called to them individually as Big Brandon, Little Brandon, and Mediocre Brandon! 😅They all went on to do great things in music, theater and advertising. Big Brandon is a music leader at his church. Very lucky congregation as he has an absolutely beautiful voice. ❤
I really enjoyed the way the other apostles in season 2 and 3 helping little James when he could not do the work by himself like in the episode where he could not hold the croud and asked the help of big James but also in a little funny moment in the crowd before the healing of Veronica where he falled in the crowd and Matthew helped him get up shouting his name thre is also many little moments with Thadeus asking him if everything is okay like directly after jesus appointing them as apostles and moments when little james was afraid about not being able to Walk all the distance after the feeding of the five thousand when you here them telling him that they won't leave him behind
I love Little James,Thaddeaus and Nathanael. It’s strange bcoz my favourite character is different to most ppl as I like the ppl characters that don’t have much screen time but when they do it’s so significant to see the role they play in the group. I aspire to be more like Thaddeus and Little- the servant mind and the humility and the kindness and not excluding or hating anyone (especially Matthew)
I didn’t realize that little James was seen or heard from him so seldom because for me, his character is as impactful as everyone else’s is. His humility and meekness shine as more Han a filler! The writers have done an amazing job Bringing this all together in one big picture.
I love that someone so close to Jesus has so little recorded about him. Reminds me that others may not know or see anything I do but God still regards me as friend and child. When I feel like I. Wed to strive for worth this is a good reminder of who I serve; aGod who sees me.
Gotta say, the "Big James / Little James" idea is a PERFECT way for the show to handle their traditional monikers "James The Great" and "James The Less." As it stands, those names are KINDA unfair to the second James.😂 So the show having the those monikers be about height is brilliant.👍
I know this is an old video but I LOVE the pat that he's talking about his situation at the fire. "I'm sure he knows of your situation". lol Also, I love when Jesus explains to little James about how the Father trusts some with such things. My brother and I both have spina Bifida and we are both in wheelchairs. My parents have always raised us in this mindset. It has been THE BEST!! because it has really helped me to not pity myself and really go for what I want in life. It has also helped me in my faith in Jesus! I love your commentary! It makes me so excited to watch new episodes.
Love this look at Little James The scene at the table during the "Two by Two" scene was amazing, to watch the emotions play across his face, no words were needed.
I actually loved that Nathanael sent Little James over to talk to Simon Z. Nathanael knew his personality is too abrasive to get anywhere productive with Zee, so he sent Little James, who is (as you said) easier to confide in. It shows that every one of their unique personalities plays a part in the group rapport. Great video, Brandon! Hope you continue to look at the other characters like this. Especially the ones who don't get a lot of screen time.
Great video Brandon!! I enjoyed your insights into the character of Little James!! Of all the disciples, he is the one I identify with the most- where his disability factors into his following Jesus. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve had severe vision issues since birth and I’ve struggled with it and the “why” of God allowing me to go through my life with these challenges. I resonate with Little James because like him, Jesus lets me (and all of us) know that despite what issues we face in life, it doesn’t have to be a deterrent to following Him and spreading His message- in fact, I believe it enhances my faith to know that even if I never get healed, God has a unique plan for my life. I delight in Him and His glory and love for me!! I praise him in all things!! I’m loving your Chosen sleuthing channel & look forward to seeing more!! Thank you!! Many blessings and much love to you and Vanessa!! 😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏
Perfect! I love the breakdown and scripture based back story of the character "little" James. Excited for more of the same for additional characters. Thanks for the time and research you put into this. ❤
The Chosen Sleuth/Brother Brandon and Sister Vanessa, Thank you so very much for the break down of Little James so far on The Chosen!✝️❤️ I can't wait to see Season 4 and beyond of The Chosen!✝️❤️ I love y'all so very much Brother and Sister in Christ!!!!✝️❤️😘
Maybe you could cover the 12 disciples as we were introduced to them in the show. So that would mean Thaddeus next. Then after the twelve you could cover the other followers of Jesus. Maybe you could even slot in the Romans like Quintus, Gaius and Atticus along with the Pharisees and Sadducees every now and again in between the disciples and followers of Jesus. Just a thought. But mainly just looking forward to your breaking down the different characters.
At the feeding of the 5000, when Jesus asks the disciples to gather 12 baskets, Little James is the first to respond while all the others hesitate for a moment.
I was James The Just and I didn't believe in Jesus until witnessing his ascension. While he was alive I thought he was a psychopath or conman.. and now everyone thinks I'm a psychopath or conman, fair enough.
Please correct me if I am wrong. I don't believe anyone with a disability could enter the Temple, how could little James be part of the 288? plus did you hear him sing to Simon when they were talking about what they did before joining the Messiah.
