The Evolved Lightning Ring Is LEGENDARY! - Vampire Survivors

I just noticed that the ground slowly gets darker over the course of the game, and then gets brighter at the end. So like, you start at the start of night, and as the night gets darker the enemies get harder, with the ending bats spawning just before the sun comes up, in a mad dash to get you before the 30min mark, trying to kill you before the sun rises again. I'd assume that the aforementioned 30min mark is the sun coming up, anyways.

The runetracer has been slept on so many times, yet it has consistently been the 2nd or 3rd in damage at the end of every run.

Fun Fact: The game has a limited amount of orbs that can be lying around If you hit the limit, the oldest/offscreen orbs get funneled into a single orb that's why sometimes you just get 5 levels at once, tons of exp accumulated on a single point

The evolved ring said it "strikes twice" so those yellow zones show where the lightning will hit after a short while. The effect on those zones is like a timer that shows when the lightning will hit.

Hope clock lancet gets a buff and an evolution next. I feel like it needs an hour hand that procs slower but freezes enemies for longer, and can freeze the entire screen for a few seconds when the “hour” and “minute” hands are aligned at 12 o’clock

I'm just waiting for the Rune Tracer evolution. It's already insane, can't imagine how the evolved version would fair. Also, Tyler, I don't know if you take game suggestions or not, but if you do, consider checking out Curious Expedition 2. It's a roguelike strategy game, similar to Organ Trail, just more fleshed out.

Base lightning ring also has area damage. Candelabra increases its area affect which is really fun

I'm still anti-ranged attack, in such a visually busy game it'd be weird to have to watch for enemy projectiles. Dodging is still fun though so maybe an enemy that's like, charges at you in a straight line when it gets to a certain range, becoming immune to knockback during the charge.

They gave my favorite weapon and item a combo together with this update and I love it. Also love the fact that it's a play on "lightning never strikes twice"

well, that's one more weapon evolution added, but i have a couple more ideas; the laurel could repel nearby enemies when broken, and the clock lancet could permanently lower enemy speed + defense on hit

Lighting ring actually does area damage as it gets upgraded in some of its upgrades, and also the character with it would be weird if it only synergies with his temp

Lightning Ring 100% has AoE - you can actually see that it gets bigger in some of the level ups for the ring.

Btw the colour of those number like yellow, light yellow, red, light red, white doesnt mean critical hits the colour is mainly indicate damage increase and only the evolved heaven cross does critical hits so yea just FYI @Aliensrock

I thought of an interesting challenge idea for Vampire Survivors. The goal would be to collect as much experience with a single attract orb item as you possibly can. It would have a bit of strategy to it, as you'd want to leave as much exp on the ground as you can while still collecting enough to kill things off. You've mentioned standing in place challenges were overdone, so I think this would be a unique twist along the same lines. The only downside I see is you'd have to find an attract orb on the ground at some point, which could take a few resets. But I think it would be worth it to see how many levels you can gain at once, and I'd definitely love to see what you could do with it!

I found that taking luck early on is really good because most chests give you 3 or more items which propels your game forward much quicker

I think a "no-aiming challenge" could be good with lightning ring, rune tracer, santa water, and maybe a pentagram for the hell of it.

i feel like if they incorporate an opponent with a ranged attack's it'd be better incorporated into a separate map therefore enabling folk who don't want to deal with ranged attacks to continue to play without ranged attack's

Those circles on the ground are actually where the second strike of the Thunder Loop is going to land. When the circle shrinks down, it strikes again in that area. It's also a good indicator of where the Thunder Loop damage radius is! The circle itself doesn't deal damage, but it works more like a targeting sight

Watching a 'Highest kills in a run' PB video when there's a lull in updates would be pretty sweet

Think that luck just gives you the 4th option as well as better drops from the destructables and better chests

Btw Tyler, since you were confused about the numbers near the start of the video, runetracer was doing around 20 damage, axe was doing around 100, and lightning ring was about 85.

the evolved lightning ring leaves yellow circles which contain another circle which is shrinking. this inner circle acts as a timer when the timer ends there is a lightning strike on the outer circles area

I got really into this game after watching Tyler play it and it's fun to see him doing things that I've already done due to the delay in when the video comes out due compared to the update. I did the same thing, Porta in Green Acres on Hyper Mode, to try out the Lightning Ring evolution and unlock the skip item. Hoping he posts a video unlocking Re-roll, curious to see if he will have the same thought I did. Mortattico in Inlaid Library, get the crown early and focus on leveling it up. It was a fun time, had max upgrades 15 minutes in and hit level 128 by the end. *Edited for clarity because I butchered this thought.

There’s actually a strategy to kill the reaper without any cheats, I did it myself earlier today and it’s very luck based but possible.

Using Porta on Library is amazing for the beginning. You don't even have to move for a solid minute, almost 2 minutes and you get so much exp from it.

The lightning ring does do area damage which from what I've seen while using seems to be affected by the candelabrador

Tiragisu is expended upon use, potentially freeing up an inventory slot - you can use this to your advantage for a late-game evolved weapon even after you start getting coin bags, much like freeing up a slot by fusing the birds

Fun little challenge could be to see what is the most levels you can get with attarctorb

I think that the "death ciscles" are indicators where lightning has just struck. Because the evolved ring makes lightning strike in the same place twice

I really love your content, keep up the good work! I also want to see a synergy that I found but I’m not sure if you’ve tried it or not. It’s a full projectiles strategy where you use Gennaro with Full evolve forms of the knifes, magic wand, fire ball, axe with the duplicator and the rest you can pick. I couldn’t do it cause it lagged too much 😅 sorry if you’ve done it already.

2 things: 1. The glowing circles produced from the lightning bolts from the top corners of the screen are where additional lightning bolts will strike. 2. The Axe is the weapon that's doing 100+ damage. Not Runetracer.

I have a suggestion for an Idea: live for as long as possible after the 30 minute mark. You can actually last a while with Laurel, and Clock Lament I have lasted part the 30:30 mark but died after but you can go even farther I had no revives at that point and you can gain a total of 5 with Krochi's extra life, the meta upgrade, and Tiragisú. so I wonder with your skill if you can past the 35 minute mark

About crown being potentially actively harmful to a run - it also takes up a space for a passive item so you're getting to the lategame quicker but with a weaker maxed out build.

I think videos on a highest gold run & similar challenges would be cool. It doesn't have to be too serious of a challenge and I think it would be interesting to see how it would shape the run even if it's not a leaderboard shattering run

Here is an idea for a range elite. The medusa elite shoots projectiles that when getting hit will freeze you but she will only shoot them when she is a certain distance away. Also you can still look up down left and right.

part of the description for the lightning ring level ups includes AOE, so take candle door alongside it and you can delete literal waves of enemies, even if it's not evolved. I also did it with bone man, and that shat out more lightning, cooldown shat out even more, so it was literal screen filling lightning with numbers. Lightning ring was slept on hard.

16:00 That's exactly it, since this game doesn't really have any scaling weapon and a fixed damage cap for the player, if you get full build super quickly you can just stop leveling and be optimal to complete the run.

Armor upgrading Laurel would make sense; both are about helping tank hits. Wings for Runetracer seems like it'd also be the right pair. the projectile's path is only affected by the edge of the player's screen, so the more the player moves, the more likely each projectile is to bounce off the screen's edge. I'd also like to see Crown upgrade Lancet, because even with the enemy difficulty increasing, the lancet freezes them and prevents damage from frozen enemies.

Btw if you want to get high levels you actually want to kill as much enemies as possible having high dps but also not level as much. And at the end of the game, get an attractorb power having crown with the best xp character that gives 30% more xp and you get a ton of exp and that is how you gain a ton of levels @Aliensrock

Same as in Magic Survival, if you don't like any of the level-up options, you can skip. That keeps the enemies at the same level and rebates 25-50% of your hp bar. If you choose an upgrade, the enemies level up. It makes the difference between an offensive or defensive upgrade much more critical. Edit: ha! Just read the wiki and this was indeed inspired by Magic Survival. If you get a chance, definitely check it out.

Evo idea: Ticking bomb. Clock lancet+[New bomb item here]- it's effects are firstly-the freeze rays are giant and there are 3 of them appearing clockwise. enemies that get frozen explode after 5 seconds damaging other enemies

As far as I can tell evolved weapons have priority over normal upgrades except for gold chests.

Garlic, Santa Water, Bible, and Lightning all evolved seems like a good combo.

Try max Garlic (evolved or not), La Borra and evolved lightning ring (thunder loop). They pattern sync filling the entire screen with area damage. Especially if you get candelabrador and empty tome aswell.

You should try Thunder loop with La Borra, Death Spiral, and Unholy Vespers. It is *INSANE* especially with Soul Eater to help Vespers with knockback.

Hey Rock if you see with the evolved lightning ring it will shoot the sideways lightning leaving an area and then it will shoot that area again cuz it says each lightning will hit twice and that second lightning bolt will damage anything in the area the smaller circle it deals more damage the outer circle goes less damage but still damaged nonetheless so you're right it does add splash damage it hits and then it hits again a even more stronger bolt this time and those circles Melanie they just tell you like where the damages or whatever it also shows you where it's going to hit so you'll be like oh there's I'm being traced by a horde of enemies let's walk into those circles so it will kill the enemies following me

you should do a minimum level challenge where you avoid esp at all costs. I think it would be cool to see, even if it mostly involved running away. Especially with hidden level scaling it might not be a blow out at higher rounds

Imagine, the way to kill the reaper at the end is to reach the end as a lvl 1 so that the reaper is insanely weak.

An interesting challange i thought of was to do a run without any evolved weapons, like u can take the Axe but then u can't take the Candlelabrador sence it will cause the axe to evolve.

I don't think they'll add ranged attacks. The screen is already cluttered enough with your projectiles and all the enemies. I don't think having to keep eyes on one specific enemy and his projectiles would be much fun but rather result in you randomly dying because you either didn't see the projectile or were so swarmed, that you had no room to dodge.

21:35 you can see that the lightning ring do not only splash damage but the circle that the first light left behainds it also do damage, just right next to your cam you have a group of mobs that get lightstriked multiple times and only lightstriked edit: so i gest the best build/combo is, bibile pigeon and santa water and cross?

The circle is just showing where the second strike will do damage and the circle inside of that circle shows how long till the secondary strike

Challenge idea do a run without having a single evolved weapon. So basically you can use runetracer, blue wand, but not it's evolved form etc.

Idk if you've heard of this already since I only spradically follow this lp but there is a hidden character it appears you haven't unlocked, though its more an easter egg than actual character. Kill death and you can play as him, not really a spoiler since you have to cheat to do so since he has an impossibly high amount of health. hack an items base damage to be stupid high and you can do it. death has some fun stats that can completely change the game

runetracer needs a good item for an evolved version, laurel will be armor for sure

The only reason I turn off damage numbers is so I can see better And I don't really care about how much damage I just use damage numbers as a better way to see that my attack connected (usually with garlic)

If you are looking for random challenges. I would try going for fewest kills or fewest levels (while beating the game). It would make the it more challenging rather than just doing the most powerful/rewarding things that would happen if going for most X.

These constant updates are reminding me of Slay the Spire back before the watcher and defect were in the game.

A reason I could see to not take duplicator is because spinach would be more damage For example knives already have like 5 projectiles 2 more won't me that much more damage in the long run While levels on spinach would be +50% damage

You should do a video of killing the reaper at the end of the game, it is possible legit and there are a couple of tutorials on how to do it and using the reaper is very fun.

The lightning circles take DMG in that area on the following strike. Hard to notice cuz the circle goes away
