That way the listener can pause and come back to it when they want…if you release part 2 in a few days the listener has forgotten about it and moved on. Just my feedback
Hating the episodic idea, I want to throw a podcast on so I can not have to scroll to find a new distraction after 30m. The conversation building steam and then getting cut off leaves a bit of frustration, just my 2c on the idea.
The 20 minute "whats your book called" "what have you done recently" becomes soulless and purely marketing. I think people love the actual conversation, and most people switch off during the marketing tag on at the end
i used to commute 1 hour to and 1.5-2 hours from work. long form podcasts saved me from hating the drive, but the ones i listened to most were either 2 bears one cave for a good laugh or some sciency fitness podcasts
I disagree with the podcast length, I personally listen while cooking, cleaning, walking, and always disappointed if they go off after 30 mins or less. Espec with how many topics you guys like to get into, keep them longer 😎
Haha my mates own siksilk in a little town called Scarborough in the UK and they have just gone bankrupt but started up again as another company and are some how still selling
Much prefer long podcasts up to 1hr. I stop and start as needed depending on what I'm doing. I always come back to it. I listen whilst doing house hold chores, working or doing a workout. 20 minutes is not long enough. I definitly wouldnt want to listen to someone just promoting what they're selling for 20 mins.
One to consider as I’m sure you know much better than me James but if Joe Rogan was to cut his podcast episodes up do you think he’d be more or less successful?
Doesn’t feel right being broken up bad idea. 20 minutes isn’t long enough for a podcast for the reasons sonny expressed. Keep the fair points as they are
Yes but investing your money into index funds that average 8-10% per year then your net result will be better by putting more money in the higher earning and not dumping it all in your mortgage
