I feel honored & privileged to have seen the mighty Fall on 3 incredible occasions. The anticipation is palpable every time! They NEVER disappoint. Even when Mark E Smith is being a Dick, you just love him more.
Mavericks like MES come along once in a generation. Genius, lunatic or somewhere in between, life needs people like MES. This band were very creative and talented.
Sure are. Certo sia. The Fall are most definetely the Greatest Rockabilly-Post punk-Alternative psychedelia Rock-Garage gruppo you could ever imagine. RU-vid counters are liars. Bugiardo. Approx 1 Billion worldwide listen to the Fall in about 80 Countries. Best group in the history of music. Not lame. Not Fake. Not liars. Not pretensious. Not whimsical plus Not, I repeat Not!!! Amateurs. Very discerning and very professional. No other group can match. Cose'e bene. Va bene. Chissa. Sorprendente. Ciao ciao. E finita. Antonio Jacqui Lucia.
My dear zigor33. If you don't like The Fall nowdays as much as we (me and YouGotWoodRolled for example), why you keep watching their videos ? Just a friendly question.
The contrast between the tightness of the band and Mark's drunkard / unwell delivery by this point in his life can't be denied. I'd love to have heard how he would have sung this track in his 20s. The audience would have been bopping a lot harder.
@@GavinskisTutorials If I had a time machine i'd be back there in a flash, yes, I was there from the start in 1977 , ever since, from working mens clubs to the mases, he was right there, upfront, until his last stagedoor...... he's Mark E Smith to every fall fan in existence......FACT.... he's Mark E Smith in rest .......FACT......., he will always be Mark E Smith ........do you see my point......Feel the wrath of my bombast!!!!!!!!
This is Mark making up for his, by the normal standards of protocol disrespectful appearance on Newsnight straight after Peel's death. This is the only way to understand the utterance 'his omnipresence is underrated'. This is not a Mark E Smith thing to say- 'Blind Man have mercy on me' - Peely is looking down on you Mark from that poster for he is as you say 'omnipresent'.
Huh, I thought that Basement set was pretty great tbh...different line-up, though, is that maybe why you don't dig it too much? Even though he fell out with them big time Spencer, Jim Watts, Ben etc recorded and co-wrote some fantastic material
wot so he never met john peel during all those radio sessions he did for him ?lol ..... this is not Norwich arts centre ...thats an old medieval church
The Fall were one of the best things to happen to popular music but they have gone badly off the rails. The music now is tediously repetitive, the lyrics poor and the vocals hideously slurred.
