For those who missed Dr Berg notes: 1. Follow a keto diet-consume the right fats and the right types of protein. A keto diet is low in carbs, but there are some specific guidelines you should follow to lose weight quickly. Avoid omega-6 fatty acids found in seed oils like corn oil, soy oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil, safflower oil, and sunflower oil. Consumption of these ultra-processed, highly inflammatory seed oils directly correlates with obesity rates. Seed oils are often hidden in salad dressings and fast food and can even be found in animal feed. It’s also important to choose the correct proteins on keto. Opt for high-quality proteins like grass-fed, grass-finished beef and wild-caught fish 2. Eat a large salad every day. A large salad each day provides potassium, magnesium, folate, vitamin C, and phytonutrients. If your salad greens are grown in healthy, living soil, the salad also provides probiotics. This helps diversify the microbiome, helping you to lose weight quickly. If you have gut issues, consume fermented vegetables or eliminate vegetables altogether. 3. Combine the ketogenic diet with intermittent fasting. To lose fat quickly, combine keto with intermittent fasting. Dropping to one meal per day (OMAD) yields the fastest results. On one meal a day, you will fast for 23 hours. This gets your body adapted to running on fat very quickly. You’ll also notice cognitive improvements, positive mood changes, and decreased inflammation. 4. Exercise regularly, but don’t overdo it! Walking and HIIT are the best exercises to lose belly fat fast. Walking every day speeds up weight loss, reduces stress, and improves sleep. Improved sleep reduces cortisol and enhances growth hormones, both of which are necessary for weight loss. HIIT exercise involves short, intense workouts that work all muscle groups. Do not overdo it with exercise! You only need to do HIIT 1 to 3 days per week. Thank you Dr Berg!😺👍
I'm 56 years old, and almost 2 years ago, I weighed in at close to 350 pounds since starting keto. My weight is under 200 pounds now. I understand now why it's taking longer for me to get my belly back to normal because of eating so unhealthy many years ago, but I'm not giving up, I'll continue to work as hard as I can to have that flat belly. The main thing now is that my health is way better than ever and energy, too.
@Kdog-hw6ri Yes, I do have some loose belly skin, but still more so stubbornly belly fat than skin. I need to tighten my skin. It's not as bad as I thought it would be by losing all that weight.
Dr Berg, you single handedly saved my life. I do not have insurance nor do I trust doctors but I was very certain I was dying.. I had terrible chest pains and was 220lbs.. I listened to your advice and have been time restricted eating with low carb non strict carnivore diet (I eat some veggies and dairy) I am down to 175lbs with no chest pain!!
3 months ago I had excess belly fat, started to do this Keto thing. - after 1 month: lost 25% of it, walked every day ~6500 steps, mostly meat. - after 2 months: lost 50%, walked ~7500 steps, also overall more energy, and nail fungus is gone, added some vegetables, 60s of cold shower at the end. - after 3 months: lost 85%, still ~7500 steps, also doing some exercice, added even more vegetables, 120s of cold shower at the end. I've got a lot of energy, almost never tired! So far it seems to work well!!
Type 1 diabetic here. Nearly 30 years in good control. I’ve been using proper Olive oil in my cooking for the last 7-8 years. I eat keto, mostly carnivore, but with salad everyday. I feel great and I’m trim and in shape, focusing on walking and weight lifting. By now I can SMELL the industrial seed oils in our culture whenever I’m near a fast food restaurant or even a nice sit down place. It smells horrible to me, it smells like obesity and cancer to me. It’s unbelievable how much of a turn off it is and how I didn’t smell it before.
Be careful, olive oil is good for a salad, but if you use it on a pan to cook your meat, you're going to transform it into a trans fat, which is the worst fat you can have, worse than seed oils.
Good observation, so true! I think a lot of the nasty seed oil smell is because restaurants re-use their oils, which are going rancid because they have already oxidized or have started to. And I'd bet cheap seed oils are probably already rancid out of the jug to some degree, with that smell initially masked through disinfecting processes.
@Pups7UT I was experiencing the same thing. If you haven’t already, check out Dr. Becky Gillaspy’s video, “Menopause: A Weight Gain Perfect Storm” and her other videos about menopause and belly fat. I’ve been following her advice since 2020, and my body is completely transformed.
I did the fat freezing. It was super expensive and didn’t make much of a difference …and one session gave me a freezer burn which was painful and took days to heal.. and beware! They won’t tell you when you sign up but if you change your mind after signing up for it… they will not refund your money! Just an fyi…but if you do decide to go ahead with it…lots of massage and lots of water!
Thank you for continuing to educate the public. I was 235 and my waist was 42 inches; I was pre-diabetic and had pain in my knees, hips, hands, and feet. I removed all sugar and refined carbs, have done OMAD and IF for the last 6 months. I’ve lost 9 inches off my waist - 3 sizes and 45 pounds. I am 190 now and my goal is 150. I’m more than halfway there thanks to you. I’m pain free and sleep better than I ever have and my skin looks great! I’m a carnivore so this is perfect for me. Thanks again! ❤
I totally agree, they're already on his case for the kinda information he divulges... I recommend him and Barbara O'Neil to all my customers who wants a healthier lifestyle
Dr. Chris Kenobbe has been warning about seed oils for years! He was even a guest on Dr. Berg’s RU-vid channel. Dr. Berg completely ignored his findings, and now he wants to pass it as his own findings.
I'm almost 50 and was 75 pounds over weight. I'm an all or nothing type (addictive personality), so there's no snacking or taking a break from being 100% OMAD+Carnivore. I 'feast' everyday at 1 pm and don't eat anything for 23 hours. I lost 30 pounds in two months. I have 45 more pounds to go which I forecast will happen by June. This plan works for me. I love having the freedom to eat a big meal at least once per day (mostly ribeyes and eggs). No sugar, no carbs, just pure carnivore for me. It works. I really appreciate Dr. Berg's videos. Thank you.
That last quote is so relevant… Before I would be dieting with the end goal of eventually becoming happier and more confident in myself. Since starting OMAD and Keto, my guts become so much healthier, and within 2 weeks my anxiety and depression has lifted. Something which has followed me for years. It’s really a revelation. Now I’m happier and more confident WHILST dieting, and enjoying the process so so much. Good luck to everyone on the journey. 💪💪💪
Totally agree with what is being said on this video. Wake up world! I used to be obese, and have basically followed what this video outlines and have lost the weight and kept it off--only when I ate sugar, junk food, fast food, etc, did I ever gain weight again. And eating crappy food hits you twice actually, because you're losing health, but you're also making Big Food companies richer. Because they don't care about you, your health, or your nutrition, they only care about profit. Never forget that. But if I can control what I eat, so can you.
I did a 10 day fast (240 hours) and holy moly it changed my life forever... My suicidal thoughts and sweet tooth are gone... I'm 25 and I feel like a 5 year old again... I enjoy life again...
@@Spinko7128 do it gradually. After the 3rd day the body almost fully adapts to your hunger. You just need a strong mindset and reason to do this. I could go on but my lips were dry and bleeding a little bit. I didn't take any vitamins... my fault and also I only took sea salt with water. You can do it my friend. Just push through it and at the same time know your body's limit.
So impressive! I tried but at 48 hours I was extremely lightheaded and was worried I wouldn't be able to perform well (drive, go to school) so that's where I broke mine. 😢
Even when I was super fit and thin in my 20-40s, I was never able to lose that fat on my lower tummy. Went on a keto diet and 18:6 fast aged 67 in March 2022 and that fat has vanished. I'm still shocked at how easy it was. Physically and cognitively, I feel I'm in the best shape I have ever been. Thank you Dr Eric for all the great advice you have given over the years. You are a lifesaver, sir.
"It's not about losing weight to get healthy... it's about getting healthy to lose weight" man, what a powerful quote... and 100% true, if your objective is "Health" the "losing weight" part will be a consequence of being healthy and will happen naturally, and it doesn't necessary works the other way around... chasing the scale could very easily make you unhealthy.
My wife, who got hit by premature menopause at 40 and lost her periods for a year, came back to active mensturation after going on ketovore (keto + carnivore) + IF + workouts + supplements , for 6 months. Who says menopause cannot be reversed ?? Now I am trying to reverse my "andropause" using a similar approach. Will update you guys after 3, 6 months. It's not only about losing weight & visceral fat. it's also about increasing / retaining muscle & bone mass, as well as having libido, sustained energy levels, mental clarity & drive to do things.
I agree Doc., I started intermittent fasting late last year, pre diabetic, I don’t have hunger cravings and barely eat once a day. I eat the wild caught Salmon at times with kale and Brussels sprouts 🌱 and sprinkle pink Himalayan salt and cracked black pepper on them. Bake everything (except kale of course) and it has been working for me.
Dr Berg, I have been watching you for a few years now and at 58, you have helped immensely! I cannot fathom why some are trying to discredit you lately - and about a "Lemon" - really!!! I told him what I thought about that - keep up the GREAT work and I'll keep watching! ;)
Thank you Dr. Berg ..I was 65 kg after my fibroid surgery due to medication and other reasons , I wasn’t loosing any fat until I found your video, since then I’m following your instructions , meal ideas , intermittent fasting and more.. I always listen to your videos again and again to remember the details.. within 5-6 months I’m 48kg and healthy as a horse and I’m in my best shape.. Thank you 🙏 I’m proof that what you say is work
I lost 20 lbs following your Keto intermittent fasting videos in 8 weeks. Just in time ti wien myself off for two weeks before Thailand vacation! I look so much better. Lost alot of belly fat and around my face. TY
Amazing. Keep up the good work. Would you like to share your success story on my website? I'd be happy to see your stories there. Feel free to upload your stories here: www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story

Dr Berg, yesterday I saw the announcement on Bobby’s channel that you guys are collaborating on his upcoming video. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Can’t wait !!!
This was EXACTLY what i did, along with detoxing and cutting out everything that could possible been causing inflammation, over 5 months last year and lost 50#!! I am doing this again right now and i am looking forward/hoping to losing another 50#!
It's amazing how many restaurants use soybean oil. Even ones you might not think would... Few years ago we were planning a celebration at an Italian restaurant and because my niece is allergic to soy, I called around to make sure they used olive oil. There were only one or two Italian restaurants that used olive oil. The rest all used soybean oil! Crazy since that's not Italian but I know it's cheaper and that's why they use it.
Just started the Rysefureke method alongside my keto journey, and I'm shook! The results are insane - faster fat burn, increased mental clarity. Loving it!
You put common sense and the basics back into a lifestyle way of being healthy. There are many Keto channels out there that mostly focus on keto recipes to mimic the processed type foods we were used to eating. Wheat (gluten) and cornmeal (GMO/sugar) is replaced with almond flour (oxalates) which is OK once in a while but eventually people are going to exchange one problem for another. I have been eating the pasture raised beef, wild caught salmon and organic pasture raised eggs, but I’ve been wanting to make chicken soup lately (w/out potatoes). Finding a pasture raised, organic chicken without a soy and corn feed is difficult. I found one brand that is an heirloom, pasture raised, air chilled chicken, and they feed the chicken a “flaxseed blend”. That’s what the label says, so, I am going to drive across town to buy that chicken and make chicken soup. 🍲 Looking forward to future videos about your farm. 🚜🧑🌾
I've been listening and I have lost belly fat by throwing out sugar and eating fat in its place... Butter or lard I'm cutting out grains slowly now and having more salt... I still have some fruit that's high in sugar but whole fruit Same as veg I like carrots but carrots with their skin on Beets but smaller amount at a time until I can can the grain I work at a farm I use all sorts of muscles and walk a lot Thanks everyone for being so helpful in the comments :)
I don't really need to loose weight I'm probably at my perfect weight but I have belly fat and pre diabetic I need to strengthen and build muscle and I am and healing too My shoulder and arm were injured and slowly they are healing milking the cow helps 😂
Day 6 of a 7 day fast. Feel great. I haven't been hungry. I resumed a four-hour eating window a few months, and that's probably why I transitioned so easily into this fast. Urine strips have shown I am at the maximum range for ketones. The issue is I don't feel like I have lost a single pound. I didn't weigh myself when I started as my scale isn't currently working, but I don't feel like I have lost anything and there is no change in how my clothes fit. Here's hoping I am getting healthy to get fit. I plan to transition to alternate day fasting with a four hour window on the days that I am eating thru the end of February. Will re-evaluate then.
@@logical_lb3059thanks for this comment. I think that might be my problem. I was taking sea kelp and stopped for no reason. I'm going to jump back on it. Cheers!
I did keto a few years ago went from 300 pounds down to 222 and then I don’t know what happened but I could not lose another pound I then I made my biggest mistake. I got frustrated and gave up I’m back up to 280 and I’m having a hell of a time trying to get back to keto again.
Hey Dr. Berg you and your research have been a real blessing to me. I sincerely hope you and yours are blessed as you have truly helped thousands of people. I am an older US Navy Viet Nam Vet and started improving my health with Keto/IF and walking. To be in my 70's and realize I can be healthier and happier has made a REAL differnce for me and my family. Thank you!!😇🥰😎
I did some pretty intense intermittent fasting with a 4 hour window of eating every day and and focused on high protein, low carb. I included regular exercise. I lost weight but plateau'd after a few months. I also felt I was starving myself and had poor mental acuity. I think everyone is different and we need to trial and error these methods to fit. For me, I found that I don't need to intermittent fast as intense, just workout and move more, especially around the abdomen and core.
I think about this alot. I think it's very common to dip TOO LOW in your calories with extreme intermittent fasting, so that might be why the body plateaus. Do you weight train as well?
@@flcps I don't think we need to fast or do IF everyday either. I think mixing it up, keeps the body guessing too. Or like Mindy Pelz states, we have to go in-and-out of fasting, meaning a few days off fasting, and a few days fasting. Yes mixing it up might be the key. But for women, it is recommended to fast according to our monthly cycle (unless in menopause)

Getting 9 hours sleep , and stoping insulin resistance ( FAT) means 1 meal a day w/ keto and walking a lot every day. It's not easy but it's a plan. I think you can have a can of sardines w/ coffee in the morning w/ out breaking the fast.
I am almost at 6 months of straight keto and it’s great. I lost a lot of weight and have kept it off and I eat whatever I want as long as it doesn’t exceed the carbohydrates limit. Everyday I rotate eating Burgers, hot dogs, ribs, Popeyes, Taco Bell, Panda Express, and still losing body fat.

This is wonderful information, Dr Berg. Since I found your channel and following your guidelines my weight loss journey has been successful while improving my health. Thank you so much for all your educational content 🙏🏻 💕
I am 20 years old Sir I am in low calories diet since 15 months to lose my belly fat.My overall body fat is reduced but my belly fat doesn't show me good results and my muscles become very weak and now I didn't do any sport due to weak muscle because I suffering from muscle pain.
No store bought micrometer thick pepperoni slice pizzas. Make a thin crust with heaps of shrimp, roma tomatoes, and pineapple followed by a HUGE pile of fresh spinach when the cheese starts to melt. Turn off the oven or toaster oven and prepare dinner. All will join in harmonious deliverance. The spinach will be relaxed, but fresh and the rest will talk story as time goes by.
You are right My weight was 76 in September 2023 and after 2 months I gained my weight upto 84 now I am 84 kg.I was consuming bread with oil and a cup of tea with it. Now I am going to cut this from my diet to replace it with a low calorie meal.iam going to start walking 8km a day from today. And I will tell about my result after 3 months here inshaAllah 🎉
I tell my massage clients who work out 5-7 days a week to slow down because their muscles are stressed out, they’re high strung and to be able to receive a massage, they need to learn how to relax…which I wonder if they’re not sleeping enough. Typically they’re skinny but their muscles need to heal, let the mind relax and don’t stress about needing to work out incessantly!!
Dr. Berg has produced some of the best information on nutrition - PERIOD! I was seriously IR. like a 4.9..I took an IR test. NOW.. I'm up to 5 miles per say 3.5 to 4.0 mph.. it took me awhile to get there, but well worth the effort. I also employ HIIT. 3 times min per week.. Yes.. overtraining can play a huge role in obtaining your goals.. Everyone is different. All I know is I sleep really great now. ..
Although the content in the video is great, the title is misleading. I lost plenty of fat, my belly fat is the last that went away. This is a common problem and it was not mentioned once in the video. ❤
Been on keto omad for only 10 days and I’m 103 kg down from 108. First 3 days were tough now I’m never really hungry till evening. Can’t believe it works this well
Hello Dr. Eric, Do you have any natural remedy for Lipoma growth prevention as well as the dissolution of those. Eager to hear from you. Thanks in advance:)

I quit smoking after 40 some years. I ended up trading the motion of the cigarette to the mouth with the fork to the mouth, after all the taste buds came back and so did 60lbs. I’m 5’9” and I went from 170 to 230. Thanks for your videos. I’ll be in touch soon after I apply your advice to the tests.
Dr Berg You mentioned that sauerkraut is good for dieters and so I didn’t have any sauerkraut but green olives are fermented like sauerkraut!!!! Green olives have probiotics toooo!
Lost weight with walking and eating more healthy especially less sugar ❤good advice as usual , sleep is still difficult but getting there, thank you 🙏can we talk about remedies for thinning frizzy hair post menopause pls ❤
I've added some oil ( coconut, olive, almond or even castor oil) to my conditioner after shampooing. I leave it in for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse it out. I apply a touch of mousse n blow dry. The oil leaves an anti frizz coating but doesn't look greasy. I live in Florida and the humidity here is awful. I hope that helps ❤
The only thing I differ with on this the use of sea salt. Sea salts have now been shown to contain small amounts of microplastics from all the plastic pollution in the oceans. I prefer to use pink Himalayan salt, which also naturally contains a lot of good micronutrients.
Thanks Dr. Berg for sharing this information. I would of never lost weight without intermittent fasting. I feel so wonderful when I do it. Plus it gives my body time to rest. But thanks go to you for helping me all these years now. You are a true Gem.
I thought I couldn’t do a 36hr fast… but when I learned most of it is done while SLEEPING! I tried it… I’ve been somewhat low carb, but I wasn’t losing weight, so I stopped eating on Sunday at 7pm and and didn’t eat again until Tuesday at 7am (i only had coffee and tea with stevia and sodastream water with lemon and stevia… it went so well that I did it again because I heard that this system burns 7 to 10lbs a month!
QUESTION- I naturally don’t gravitate toward salty foods. When I eat salt my blood pressure goes way up. The whole concept of adding salt to any program (even sea salt) at the beginning of weightloss I don’t get. Do u mean you add the salt after you have lost the belly fat?
Thank you Doc, my favorite channel. I love the clarity of high intensity workouts. My body responds better and faster when i do calisthenics or speed walking. 💜 I sleep better too. It is hard when I live in an area with zero sidewalks.
I used to eat 5500+ calories a day of mostly carbs and fat and always had a flat stomach. I don't think carbs are bad, I think it's more to do with low nutrient foods and lack of minerals and of course vegetable and seed oils.
Take 1 table spoon of black seeds oil with warm milk an hour before bed,i used to have insomnia for the last 9yrs believe u me u will get ur sleep back.
He says if you have gut inflammation then don’t eat salad. That tells me a lot. I just won’t ever eat salad even tho I have no issues. Stay beefy my friends. 🥩
Yesterday Day 12 of Keto I noticed a couple hours after doing a 2hr cardio workout, that I wasn’t hungry, hadn’t thought about food or eaten ALL DAY! Finally at 6pm I ate 2 fiber flax keto muffins even though I wasn’t hungry and thought 🤔 “wow I must finally be keto adapted, yay!”
Hi Doc ... currently 53 yrs old and working night shift from Mon - Fri here in the Philippines ... is it still safe for me to do the daily walking exercise after my work shift from 7:00 AM onwards ? Should I target at least 3,000 steps ? Appreciate your kind advise.
