I've reduce almost 4Kg/9lb just in 20 days by avoiding Sugar , 5 eggs in morning 4ltr water a day, 1.5 hours simple walk daily . Thank you Dr. Love you from Pakistan .🇵🇰🇵🇰
Even if nobody defend him,i will. His videos saved me from prediabetic to no diabetes at all.Keto and intermittent fasting works like magic. And it is cheap and easy to practice.Thank you Dr.Eric Berg....Greeting from Ghana.
My biggest fat maker is carbs. I went without bread for 2 weeks and I was getting serious results. Thanks Dr Berg for the clear explanations as always. ❤❤❤❤
@@trulsrakvagI like chia ground with flax as a substitute. Makes for a great muffin in only 90 seconds mixed with MCT, egg, baking powder, salt, berries or nuts
@@trulsrakvag i haven't replace it with anything as yet. i plan to replace it with chia seeds. and also i significantly reduced rice and pasta. these i replaced with quinoa. i increased my vegetable intake as well. as i live in the Caribbean, i have access to seasonal fruits. this worked for me as i have cystic ovaries. so my dietary needs may be different from yours. i have also began to replace cane sugar with local honey.
Hello from the Philippines. My mother died of diabetes so when I turned 50 I started doing low carb. I was a bit overweight but now at 51 years old, I am back to my weight when I was in my 20's. I am also doing intermittent fasting. Thank you so much for these videos, Dr Berg.🙏 You are included in my prayers 🙏
HUZZAH!!! I am in the Philippines as well. 66 years old, lost 50 pounds and doing high intensity training. Never felt better! Reversed T2D, high blood pressure, fatty liver, on and on and on. The list is endless. Perfect poster boy for a Ketogenic lifestyle...
My mum basically cooked low carb meals. She always said that other mothers were surprised by how few potatoes we ate. Back then, I was so skinny that my parents were actually worried at one point. I'm reducing my carbs now and started cooking frequently again to avoid additives and it seems to be working quite well.
I started at 240 pounds. I’m 5’7”, I was too short to be so big. My journey is not done yet. But I’m down to 195 now and I credit Dr. Berg and intermittent for this!
Congrats on your achievement. Same height but 185lbs of muscles and belly fat. I'm at the gym 4-5x/week. My goal is 195-200lbs with muscle and no belly fat. Keep training and eating well. You'll look massive and feel amazing
We are on the same page brother. Just an inch longer. A brisk walk in the morning, gym in the afternoon, low carb diet. Also i back up my diet with Tesofensine, which i got from Nextchems. Im at 223lbs 6 months ago, just sitting at 160lbs now.
I need to hear every word you say/ said ! At 82 years old , my health improved immensely since January 9th - 2023 when I first listened to you . For over 40 years I lived with chronic Lyme disease , foggy brain like dementia and rheumatoid arthritis .years of Doxycycline etc. I followed all your advice . , gave up daily sugar = ice cream , pizza , pasta .18/6 was easy ,because you so inspired , motivated me .After just a couple of weeks my brain became crystal clear - a Miracle ! I gave up Rheumatoid Arthritis medicine - no pain since . Thank you , Dr Berg - with all my heart .
I mean it's common sense to be not eating all that junk at 82.... but nonetheless glad you are doing well not many people are lucky to make it to a even 70 in todays world.
@@Yerr1337 the biggest step is completely replacing sugary drinks with water. I found purified water, kept in the fridge to be the best (no weird aftertaste) But you'll need to supplement minerals because the purifying process eliminates them. After a while you won't even be able to drink sugary drinks, especially soda because it will taste nasty.
Summary 1. Intense workout or long walks 1,5hour daily 2. Quit carba 3. Avoid sugar 4. Don't eat too often 5. Fast from time to time Am i missing something?
@cherrykillingsworth5742 it's incredibly simple to cut out the bulk of sugar. Zero candy. Zero soda, Zero processed fruit juices. From there you start limiting empty carbs. It's simple, however it requires self control and will power.
I used to weight 240lbs, was considered obese, pre diabetic, on 3 types of BP meds (that never really lowered my BP) and when my GP told me if I don’t do anything about my weight I could have a stroke, become diabetic etc. Because of Dr Berg’s videos, I have lost over 70lbs in as little as 4 months. KETO and IF work. I am a poster child of it. Thank you Dr Berg, you literally saved my life. P.S. ACV and Lemon water staves off hunger.
I was 240 also. Now around 190 but I haven't completely given up sugar, mostly but I still have sugar in my Greek yogurt. Drinking coffee black and cutting out pop was a big help 😊
And because people are lazy/afraid to make a change or to say no to their "little treats", proving that they really are just addicted to them. Stepping out of our comfort zone is the most difficult thing to do but oftentimes it brings us the best results.. and satisfaction 😉
I highly believe Dr. Eric has saved many lives. His videos have been guiding me through 16:8 Intermittent fasting, today is my 18th day. Much thanks and love from Kenya 🇰🇪.
@akashidesigns 16:8 is a nice start, but don't do it for months on end. Your body shouldn't get used to it to the extent it will lower it's metabolism. Really hard to get it back up when your baseline is lowered. A mistake I made. Switch it up, leave your body guessing when it gets food and you're all good!
Just wanted to say thanks Dr Berg, you have helped me so much. For years I struggled with my weight, but I hit 104kg last Xmas aged 46 with a massive gut (all on my abdomen and face). With your guidance (Keto and IMF) I have dropped to 87kg, with a goal of 84kg by the end of the year. My BP is now normal, I no longer feel permanently fatigued and grumpy, and I feel 10 years younger. I feel like an advert, but it’s true. Keto+IMF is the only things that’s ever worked, with the occasions 24-48hr fasts to break plateaus. Cheers.
I'm doing my best but my Belly will never be flat without surgical intervention🥴! 136 days for me losing FAT🐷today🙂. I'm eating eating OMAD(99% Meat🥩). 23.5 hr Fasting until the next days meal. Went from XXL Shirts🎽to Medium🎽& 48" Waist to 30"👖. Results of Blood Work💉Wed Sept 13 are better than years ago! Cholesterol is good,Visceral Fat is going away,Fatty liver gone,Improved mental Clarity,Sharper Eyesight, healthy gums,Stomach Ulcer healed! WINNING👍🙂👍❗
Look into hormonal breakdown. Women _and _*_men_* produce estrogen, and if you can't break it down properly it causes belly distention/bloating and belly fat.
@@allhimwithme5115 Hormonal imbalance would have been a problem when I was heavier. I've been 40Ibs to 130 Ibs overweight most of my life. Most of the fat may go away from my belly once I'm at goal weight but skin is stretched to much to retract enough. Hand fulls of wrinkly skin will remain! I've watched numerous surgeries on video. Probably be only 10 Ibs of skin removed and may not even need fat removed once I hit my target. Should be pretty lean at goal weight.
I lost 22kg in 2 months. My height is 180cm and i went from 94kg to 72kg. Walking, exercising at home with resistance, water Fasting for 20h, eating 1-2 meals without carbs, drinking only water.. sometimes when i felt good, i did 48h and 72h water fast. The first few days you get a little mad and stressed because your body wants that fast food and soda that you always had. Then you get a headache. This will eventually go away and after 3 weeks you will feel much better wirhout carbs and sugar. It will become easy
Gone from 112kg to 79kg since March following Dr Eric's advice. Dr Eric has also mentioned in the past to cut out the booze if you want a flat stomach.
Being following him for almost year and half trust me follow his advice and you'll start loving yourself.. here is what changed in last 8 months. Lost 24 kg was at 104 now at 80.5. Quit sugar fast food my face structure totally changed have a defined jawline. Overall mood and stress tolerance increased. Stamina testosterone boosted alot. Overall summary is he is genuine as someone from Pakistan the advice he gaved me would have cost me almost my half year salary. Thank You Doc.
This video is 1000% right on with what's going on in my body ... the belly fat due to excess carbs/insulin, snacking, bloating is a problem for me... Dr Berg always inspires me. I'm going to do better, try harder - I will stop the morning "plant Protein Shakes with fruit", etc and so a better job at Keto. Thanks Dr Berg!!
So if I quit sugar I will lose fat on my belly? When I lay down on my side my stomach look so fat flabby like an old lady, a year ago I had a much more lean body,.. I’m 30 so I’m not old
@@Emiliah1996quitting sugar helps, belly fat is also due to high cortisol levels. Are you stressed? Stress can do that with cortisol. Dr B has videos to lower cortisol as well. Exercising immediately after stress helps. As well as lemon balm tea and adaptogen herbs
@@teneshiasmith4080This is aimed for people who want to lose serious weight and/or for beginners. I’m past halfway through weight loss and I eat fruit almost everyday and cottage cheese or yogurt everyday. I’m still losing weight but also strength train along with alternating HIIT, while also walking every day. So I need the protein and a balanced diet, like veggies and fruit.
All of this is great information. I have also been drinking 16oz of water + 1 oz apple cider vinegar + 1oz aloe Vera juice + 1oz of lemon juice + 10g of glutamine every morning and I have noticed it has really helped with my stomach distention
I started using a rowing machine regularly at least 1 30 mins exercise a week added to my usual diet of more vegetables, fasting, upper body weightlifting and light walks, and MAN, that really kickstarted my belly fat into finally diminishing. It was like an ON switch. Finally the muscles in my torso started being used without the strain of back pain or getting tired from squats, sit-ups, or butterfly sit-ups. I stayed roughly the same weight, but my body fat index for sure improved. Upper body got harder, lower body got thinner.
Sharing Dr Berg notes on this episode for those who missed it! Crunches are not the secret to six-pack abs. To get flat abs and avoid poor posture or back pain at the same time, you need to balance exercises like crunches with other types of exercise, like back exercises. Two of the best types of exercises for belly fat are long walks or hikes and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). While exercise is important, diet is more critical when it comes to losing belly fat. The best fat-burning diet is the Healthy Keto® diet. This is a combination of high-quality protein, low-starch vegetables, and other nutrient-dense, low-carb foods. Intermittent fasting is also beneficial to help you lose weight and get healthy. You may want to add more fat to your diet initially to help you fast for longer periods. But, once you become adapted and start losing fat, you may want to cut back the fat you consume. You can take certain remedies for fat-burning, but realize these won't work unless you also change your diet. A few of the best fat-burning supplements include: • Garcinia Cambogia • Raspberry ketones • Green tea extract • Caffeine • Chili pepper extract In some cases, you might mistake bloating for belly fat. Intermittent fasting can help decrease bloating. Bloating could mean you also need more acid in your stomach. Betaine hydrochloride is the best remedy for bloating caused by a lack of stomach acid. A lack of bile can also create bloating. In this case, you could try taking bile salts. Top foods that cause bloating include: • Fruit • Yogurt • Beans • Grains • Almond flour • Sugar alcohols • Tapioca fiber • Soluble corn fiber • Plant-based green shakes or protein shakes If you have IBS or an inflammatory condition in your gut, you may want to try the carnivore diet for a little while to see if that helps reduce bloating. To flatten your stomach fast, you also need to lower your stress. Walking, physical work, and getting plenty of sleep are great ways to reduce stress. If you’re going into menopause, it’s also essential to support your adrenal glands to help avoid stubborn belly fat down the road. Thank you and welcome back Dr Berg! 😺👍
Thank you Dr. Berg. Your videos have encouraged me to become healthier by changing my less carb diet, daily walks on the beach for 1.5 hours and keeping positive. Much appreciated. God bless.
Time. It takes time. You can't expect weight gained over years or even decades, to just melt away overnight. Be patient. Slow and steady wins the race.
Great video and advice. I’m not overweight but have reduced my carbs, increased fasting and exercise, which has resulted in feeling and looking so much better. Thank you.
as you may know: sit if you’re laying down, stand if you’re sitting, walk if you’re sitting, walk briskly if you’re walking, run if you’re walking briskly, do more intense ab-work if you’re running.
Actually running would not work as well as walking. Dr Berg does mention that on other videos. Its the low intensity of walking that stimulates the fat burning hormones
@@gabrielWachong partly true. how low? low long tho? I was referring to people who still don’t see results. to take it up a notch. we may see walkers with bellies, but less so on runners…
Dr. Eric Berg, I thank you and your team for your continuous support on our health. I can gladly say that I have lost 9kg (from 91kg to 82 kg) in two weeks. Also, belly fat has reduced also. I started with a fruit fast (water melon) for 5 days and continued with keto. I am from Ghana and by my location am not able to get some ingredients. However, I managed with those available cutting out sugar, starch, and doing intermittent fasting. My fasting alternates from omad to 18:6.
I love the way he pronounces with his tone the highlighted words he wants to emphasize. It’s so good! You know they are important words to pay attention to!!! Thank you Dr Berg!!!
This video is extremely concise! I dropped the sugar alcohols and I haven’t run into a problem with nuts just yet. I think I confused gas with bloating, otherwise, I ate a lot of nuts and sugar alcohols and was slender in a way that worried my family members last year, but I was (and still am) doing OMAD at the time. My goal was/is to beat the chronic gas and removing sugar alcohols and caffeine (chocolate) and seltzer exactly did that (for a while now). But all of these discoveries and road maps came through your knowledge and work and I appreciate it. if I ever had to start over or go through it all again, I could at least _find my way back._ Thank you!
I've been back at the gym 6 months. 90 to 120 minutes of cardio. Not including walking and hiking. Cut calories, lots of water. Im 42 in December, and I'm at the best I've been in years. It's a good feeling. The work is paying off. Thank you God.
I started taking dr Berg's advice on eating and fasting in December of 2019. I was 170lbs and prediabetic. A year later my doctor told me I was no longer prediabetic. 2023, im averaging 9 to 12% body fat, 147 lbs, high energy, do not get drowsiness during the day and sleep well most nights, have better focus and clarity of mind. I've adapted to mostly ketovore/Mediterranean eating style twice a day. My wife had really good results too. We are both in our mid 50's.
Guys it’s really simple, while some of what he’s saying is true it’s not what causes weight loss. It’s calories in vs calories out, the age old diet and exercise, it’s very simple. You should consume more whole foods (less processed), about .6-1 gram of protein per pound of body weight (a little less protein and more fat for women) and the rest of your calories should come from a balance of fat and carbs. Train each muscle group 1-2 times per week. Track every exercise and every single calorie you eat and I promise you you WILL see the results you want!
Thank you for all your hard work Dr. Berg. RU-vid and other media outlets may try to censor you because you're teaching us a more hollistic way to be healthy and least expensive actually, which is what bothers "big pharma's" pockets. I've learned so much from you. Thank you for enlighting us to a better option to live happier and healthier. Your fan Julio Cesar from Tijuana, Baja California/San Diego, California area since 2020.
Your videos has helped me to have control over my hunger and so it makes my travel comfortable with empty stomach without any issue of energy. Also for last 4 years I have not taken any tablet or injection or visited Doctor. You explain things of our body with proper science.
Dr. Berg just said *EVERYTHING* in just 10 minutes and even added some explanation of *WHY* things happen as they happen! Sir, your work is *PHENOMENAL!!!!!*
Definitely agree that long walks and HIT are key in reducing belly fat.. I do IF and 10,000 to 12,000 steps daily.. I've seen a difference in 2 months, haven't been using a measuring tape to see how many inches off but go by how my clothes fit in the tummy area...
Goodmorning Dr Berg, always good to see you. Great information ! I have lost 35 lbs following your fasting and dieting tips, I'm grateful to you Sir. Much healthier these days and almost at my goal weight. God Bless 👍🏻

@DrEricBergDC I certainly will and thank you for that opportunity. Keto has done everything you and other genuine Doctors have said it would do. I am fully aware of big pharma . I won't be a cash cow with a short life expectancy. You are a powerful messenger of the truth. Ty Sir
I like your backward crunch standing up you showed us a few years back. Show everyone that one again. Feels great You know the one we're you but your hands on your hips and stretch backwards for 25 times 3 times a day.😊😊
Thank you doctor Berg for all the healthful straight talk. YOU have saved my life, the life my doctors were killing. Staten's, acid blockers, everything that was killing me, I stopped and started following your lead very closely and won the fight! A million thank-yous to you!
Can’t believe! I’ve watched many Dr. Berg videos, yet this one that’s been viewed over a Million times did not come up in my feed! Well, better late than never than never, happy to have viewed it now. THANK YOU!!
Thank you for recommending the Carnivore diet. Not many doctors who aren't Carnivore would redirect their audience towards a really healthy way of eating. Not only does it get rid of the bloating very quickly (within 1-2 weeks) but gives the gut microbiome a rest for it to regenerate. I also absolutely agree on getting a HIIT workout and your advice to reduce cortisol and getting enough sleep is an absolutely perfect advice. Thank you Dr Eric.
That's fantastic! Congratulations! I would love to hear about your success! Please use this link to upload your story: www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story

Doc thank you for being honest and well informed. You changed my life and so many others with your factual advices. Watching your videos throughout the years made me healthier than i ever been in my life.
Love you Dr. Berg! You and Thomas have completely changed my life. I always find something new in every video.. Please don't forget to stress how important it is to have vitamins and electrolytes when fasting. These youngsters don't realize this.💓
I've been a Type 1 diabetic for over 43 years so, not only have I been on a very low catbohydrate diet, but my dietary intake is extremely limited as this diet also serves to suppress hunger and I usually only eat once per day and without snacking. What I realised a long time ago was that my inability to lose weight while on a ketogenic (but with limited fat) diet was likely due to exogenous insulin and I worked hard to reduce that through improved blood glucose control by excluding starches and high GI vegetables and fruit as well as using supplements to reduce insulin resistance. I'm not an exercise junkie but do an hour long walk every day and yet, while not being overly obese, I'm about 10 Kgs overweight and my weight loss has plateaued. I'm also hypertensive but this is managed by a variety of medications, including a diuretic which drops my water weight by up to 2Kg during the course of the day but is up again by the next morning.
Years ago I made keto cookies with some grocery store "keto sugar substitute." I woke up in the middle of the night stomach swollen, with the worst abdominal cramping and bloating pain. The main ingredient in the sweetener was erythritol. Thank you for bringing visibility to this sneaky substitute. I'll never touch it again.
....😐when you out work a coworker who sees you are Healthy Keto.. so to slow you down, they offer you a bag of Cheetos 😂 GOTTA LAUGH! Dr. Berg is the greatest! 🎉
I lost 25 pounds and counting in 2 months. I wasn’t even that big. Just cut out sugar and ate mostly pasture raised eggs and grass fed beef. Guys dr berg is the Goat
Dr Eric Berg, I thank God to see light in you that only comes from Him. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and truth on good foods being healthier with the food. You have changed part of my life, with my chronic Lyme disease, candida, and reversing pre diabetes with the videos you put off on how good food especially greens can heal the body and cutting out added sugar and yeast. My biggest thank you! Stay strong and don’t comply to this “new world order” agenda that is coming forth. It will only be get worse… praying for you and those that listen and watch your videos. 😊
1 meal a day 6 days a week, 1 meal in 2 days, running daily in the morning 30 minutes (5km) and stationary cycling 30-40 minutes in the evening everyday and progressed to HiiT 10 minutes/15 minutes x2 - x3 sessions (ThenX dumbell workouts x3) . The meal: 10 cups of vegetable, 1 fillet of salmon or in other days 3 slices of pork belly or in other days, beef ribeye steak or 2-3 lamb chops. Black coffee in the morning.... July 27 2021 to December 31, 2021... 108kg to 74kg... Gained weight from there... 74...76... 80... 82... 85.7kg (July 2023). Now my belly got big somehow, and I can no longer eat regular vegetables, and even brocoli and dark chocolate and coffee, causesbme to bloat badly. Im on one meal a day for 3 weeks and exercising 30-40 mins a day daily... No carbs at all just protein and fat from beef, salmon, shellfish, pork and steamed veg (cauliflower and cabbage) and fermented cabbage (sauerkraut). Slowly went down to 82.35kg but belly is still enlarged... It's become very tough to lose weight. Im now 38 years old and not sure if the diet I followed destroyed my metabolism but the benchmark or my basal metabolic rate has drastically gone down leaving with very little room to improve. Now I might have to go 1 meal for 2 days... Not sure if it's right to go all the way strict cos your body might adapt to the point you won't have any solution.
I’m 5-11, 198lbs at 12.5% bmi and 53 years old. No refined sugars, no processed or refined carbs, no seed oils if at all possible. I’m protein heavy 200g a day. Labs are perfect before and after and I’m on about 2,500 calories day…dirty carnivore is just adding blueberries. I eat 6-8 scrambled eggs a day, sardines, tuna, canned chicken, shrimp, calf liver(2x week), plain Greek yogurt with occasional whey protein mixed in, cottage cheese with blueberries. No grazing. Lots of lemon water with Himalayan salt. Weight training and only LIT(walking 30min 12in 2.8-3.5 speed) 2x a week and exercise bike 5-10 to warm up leg day. Good luck to all of you on your journey and hope this possibly helps some of you.
