I think it was to show that even if there is a "tier-list", that doesn't necessarily mean the character is bad and/or can't win at a game.

It's common sense. Otherwise he'd have to figure out where to draw the line between characters not getting owned in clips. Although, he could've used clips of things such as LM struggling to recover while talking about it and it would've sufficed too.

I guess he's just showing what the character can do at it's full potential

We now pay for Nintendo online, and there are other games which online worked fine for even on WiiU (mario kart 8, Splatoon) whether on WiFi or LAN, so smash just needs better servers imo But yeah, using LAN won't hurt either lol

Pit looking gucci in ultimate tho, he got the big buffs, and the game engine is made for him, you will not recover against Pit in ultimate

What are your thoughts on Jr,'s supposed huge nerfs in Ultimate? He's my main and I really want to use him again, but I'm scared he's gonna suck even worse than he does in Smash 4...

Eli Bock genuinely looks like a better character, although keeps the flaws of up b getting gimped and two different weight values Ima the only nerf he got was mechakoopa dying on shield, which to me looks more like a mechanic change, because if it walked past it'd set up a parry. All other things regarding mechakoopa were bug fixes (no more bouncy mechakoopa and the exploit that makes the explosion not harm you was removed) Besides that the character got buffed a lot tbh. Side b jump now differentiates from him normal double jump which is useful, though kart jump takes longer to input. However it helps his recovery and with ult disadvantage he can potentially further juggles better. His cannonball is now much less laggy AND he can have two out at once. His hammer swing (which btw, his hammer moves of up air and up b were replaced by a wand, it's so adorable) likely no longer has a sourspot, though is weaker. Ram hammer is still possible, but more frame tight but with this true you won't ever get a sour spot that should have killed again. His grab is now faster and up throw is speculated to be a combo throw. Down throw now does 16% okay random lmao Aerials lag reduction universal change helps him, he can now true auto cancel Nair and bair And lastly his ledge hang animation was improved, as he now hangs more below the stage due to the kart aesthetically not being there (if he gets hit off ledge or gets off it, he hasn't lost his kart so that's no worry That's all I know of smash ult jr

@@miguelc1436 yeah i wanna see that against Nair or Dtilt. For this to work the Move has to whiff and you have to know that it will whiff and under that condition you can punish nearly everything. But all of his Aerials are safe on Block exept Dair, His Downtilt is Safe as well and Ftilt can be safe if you space it well. If you play against Ike you want to abuse his lack of a combo breaker and his linear recovery, keep him at disadvantage for as long as possible and try to force him to recover low or at a predictable angle and both are not easy to achieve. If the Ike plays well, this MU can be frightening to play against even if youre playing with toptiers.

@@op-physics not that i disagree with you, but ike got his potential tapped long before the end of smash 4, while mii sword fighter has alot of untapped potential.

@@HeruCSGO thats true, but Ike is still superior as a Character. Like Most things he says about Mii swordfighter, Ike is just better at. Even his Up B spike is stronger and straight up kills at 0. His Side B is better, his Range is superior and he has a gameplan. Putting Mii Swordfighter above him is ridiculus.

I won't say that Ike has any favorable matches against the high tiers. BUT does surprising well in advantage. Bayonetta CAN be easy at times. And against fighters like Sonic and ZSS, the ledge game can be pretty oppressive. ZSS and Flip Kick. Sonic and his spin dashes.

If you know how to play him, you should know more than anyone else that Falco is bad.

Kazargon! Disclaimer, long read. I'm not trying to be condescending like I have the best tournament results but for the most part, they really don't know what they're talking about when it comes to Falco. Out of all these videos on YT there aren't even many people if any at all going into high detail about his kit or have not even dedicated themselves to labbing him alone. Yet they talk about him in high level play. This is one of the games where character loyalty easily dwindled away for a lot of people in favor top tiers and you've probably seen that yourself. Even many other former Falco mains made Falco secondary or dropped him altogether for tourney. Now we mainly see the same 20 characters. People wouldn't lab as an honest character like Falco cause they want easy combos and gimmicks so they can win. That's mainly what people care about and it hurts them to not explore and study the game itself. That's why we don't need 70+ characters. People only scratched the surface with the 50+ we had in 4. You have to also remember that in the last Official Tier list Olimar and Corrin are Top 20 and many people put them high on their own Tier lists as well. That means many people suck in neutral. Tsu(Lucario), T(Link) and Shuton(Olimar) came and exploited many people in neutral at high level play. But they have good neutral as players and don't only rely on character strengths. That's the biggest problem in Smash 4 and it's very obvious at this point.

Kazargon! For what Falco can do, He is really a high mid tier character. He is highly underrated as he is a very versatile character who can pretty much do anything except easy bake or gimmicky things. Not saying other characters don't but his Kit requires you to think. Many people say He has good tools and He is honest/he is too fair. So of course if you're trash he is trash. You can say his air mobility isn't the greatest but People can't say he has a bad recovery when he has one of the highest jumps, a Good Side B and his Up B is okay now and still better than his previous versions. Although Falco can be combo food at times he still has a good amount of room for error as opposed to Fox. Falco can put a lot of the cast and players in difficult positions being that majority of his moves have a lot of knockback. So once you're out of low percent just focus on vertical combos instead of launching them horizontally. You could always follow up that way but people haven't seemed to figure that out that he specializes in catching/exploiting landings. His Up Air can definitely kill and everyone knows Bair is very strong. In neutral he doesn't need to short hop. Generally, if you need to Short Hop as a character that's bad anyway cause you're risking stage position in attempt to land an attack. I can always trade with you and send you to the other side of the stage or have you somewhere in the air above me. His walk is faster than his run if not just as fast so you can always have access to all of them. When you walk you can put a lot of pressure on your opponent. He has a frame 2 or 3 Jab that covers a good range in from of him and is good at keeping people out. From Jab 1 You can convert into D-Tilt to follow with Grab, Grab if the opponent is light or in shield too long, or Up Smash at higher percents especially if they're light. His D Tilt isn't like Mewtwo's but you can start combos from it at mid percent being that it pops the opponent up, convert into Up Smash or Fair. F-Tilt is great for keeping people out and keeping people in the corner when you mix up the angles. Up Tilt is okay. Now for grabs. He always had that somewhat easy bake grab where you Downthrow to Up Smash but people just discovered that a year to two years ago. That was always a thing like MK's Up Air to Up B but that shows you people don't explore the game. Anyway, that vortexs heavy character up until 60%-80% and you can get fairly easy Zero To Deaths from that grab on Heavies as well as other fast fallers if you know how to follow DI. Around 20-30 percents you can Up Throw to Up Air and get some mileage off of it but not too much. You still have the standard Down Throw Fair combo. Around 45-60% you can F-Throw into laser and then either F Smash, Dash Attack or Side B on fast fall characters but that's a weird situation for you to be in. Forward Throw at ledge during mid/high percents can actually put opponent's in a somewhat awakward position because Falco's aerials are reliable enough to get a kill. laser is okay and can be used to keep people on ledge after you send them off the level. You need to space it right as well as have good reaction time so you won't get punished and not lose momentum. For neutral get up they have to time the shield right so they won't get knocked off stage again. Not many characters can just jump pass it but characters like Mew2 and Yoshi can due to air mobility. If they jump you can react in time to catch the landing or just read what they're doing and you still have the edge. If they roll you can catch it will be obvious but don't be too close where you can get punished ifthey do make it pass. Short hop Side B can be used if you knock an opponent to far away and want to chase them. If you Side B back to back It can be used to cross up shields occasionally if you space it right and if they're not expecting it. Not the safest thing to do but there are times where it does trip up the opponent. His Smash Attacks are decent. His Up Smash has intangibility from frame 7-13 on his leg and frames 13-20 on his foot. Not much cool down on it. His Down Smash is intangible on his leg frames 3-7 so that's actually good for 2 framing people at ledge. His F Smash is good for that two being that it hits under the stage. Lastly, Falco is capable off playing off stage. There are many times I see Falco mains or just people generally not going off stage in Smash 4. Falco can simply Back Throw and jump laser off stage to read positions. You don't even have to hit them with laser. Just read and follow up with Fair for a kill. He can go very deep and still make it back to stage. There are many times where people get baited into his aerials and even if you miss you aren't going necessarily going to get punished for it and you don't die off it. Dair,Nair and Fair can be used to Stage spike or put opponents in a Pineapple situation when they tech. He can get easy gimps on Cloud and Captain Falcon for example. Falco can definitely be combo food at times but he actually doesn't die easily. Especially with Good DI. His worst match ups aren't what what most people think they are. Pit, Kirby, Wario, Megaman and sometimes Yoshi. Pit and Kirby because they possess the ability to completely stop everything he can do in neutral in addition to successfully 100% camping him out. Wario and Megaman have character specific things that are a pain in the ass for Falco. I say sometimes Yoshi because there is a lot of back and forth between the two but Yoshi is easy bake and doesn't die as easily as he should. You may think what about Mario, Fox, Sheik, Rosa, Diddy, Cloud, Bayo or Ryu? Not to generalize all Mario MU's but if you play against enough Mario you know what you have to do is not get grabbed and not use moves with too much lag. I believe they actually have similar frame data. Falco can get fucked over but not much worse than any other character. He actually keep up with Mario but if you be too defensive that's when you lose. Fox has a speed advantage but if he rushes in he can get thrown off stage and in the air easily. Being he is a Fast Faller he can get Zero To Death'd if you Down Throw to Up Smash and read but it's not exactly the same as doing it on Captain Falcon, Roy or someone heavy cause Fox is a bit light so he can escape. You can't box him out as well but I think you can get away with camping to a degree cause he is more obligated to approach. You can get kills as lomg as you don't over commit or commit as much as you usually do you have a chance. Sheik can open up Falco in close combat but if you read her movement and don't trip up, don't stay still and don't stay in shield too long you can beat her. His moves also have range and you can contest her short hop aerial approach. She is light as well so you can kill her earlier as she can kill you. She can't camp you out as hard as she could before but keeping distance from her isn't like keeping distance from Sonic, Captain Falcon, Pikachu or Fox. She is fast but not to where you will worry as much as other fast characters. Rosa is all about being patient and killing Luma. Diddy is annoying with the banana but there is a lot of Back and forth that goes on. He applies alot of pressure but in comparison to Megaman its not as easy to crack under. Overall, Falco has better Start Up and Cool Down on moves but Diddy's Speed and Down Tilt can catch you put you in unfavorable positions. It's wise for you not to chase after him but you take your time in the match and not just throw out too many moves. Be careful with reflector cause he can bait you into using it. With Cloud, you have to stay mid range. That will exploit his short hop options. Everthing else he has to openly attack is slow enough to where you can react and he won't go for grab much. Focus on keeping him in the air until 60-70% and throw him off stage. I wouldn't say let him break limit but don't be scared of it. Just don't commit too hard or use laggy options. He gets a speed boost but if you deal regularly with Capt.F, Fox, Sheik or Sonic you'll be fine. Stay within mid range, continue to exploit him and throw him off the level. You can gimp him easily anyway. Bayo has a bad neutral, sub par frame data and is obligated to approach. You can easily combo her as well as out camp her. When you get her off stage go for the Sweet Spot Dair. You either beat her recovery completely or trade. Ryu in comparison to Mario is actually pretty easy to beat. Whether you win or lose the MU goes fast cause this is a purely skill based MU and fundamentals are heavy here. So if you win you're clearly better in neutral but Falco also has the capability to BS Ryu in neutral. It's not really hard to get in against Ryu. It isn't eay for him to open up to approach cause he gets predictable. I find he often has to throw out one move to do another. He can't just run in D-Tilt or Up Tilt. He has to Short Hop, Hadoken or just play footsies for a while first. But D Tilt and Up Tilt into Shoryuken is ridiculous though so yeah don't get hit by it. You can keep him in the air and exploit his landing for a considerable amount of time. You can gimp him offstage pretty well. In conclusion, No Falco is not bad. Many just fail to take time to really understand him.

The only two reasons they are so low on this tier list is because they haven't shown their true potential as a character and the amount of drops Ness haved over years. I am pretty sure that Ness and Lucas are a lot better than Samus. But since this is his opinion, nobody can argue that. Ness can have a little bit of a problem in the recovery section, but can cover it up with the insane amount of combo starters. Same goes to Lucas. So in conclusion, Ness and Lucas are not bad at all, but the lack of it's true potential and the amount of players who drop them really hurts the characters( And of course, their recovery is bad but not terrible).
