Met him in Peters Cafe Pimlico Road 1997. He sat on my table as it was packed. 10 mins later in comes Daley Thompson and sits on same table. Could not believe it. Oldman was shy but polite. Thompson polite and very chatty.

RIP Terry Sue Pat. Last saw him 2004 at Spurs v Arsenal outside the Olive branch.. with a lot of faces from Tottenham’s firm, despite him having an old 70s replica Spurs shirt on. Great acting from Oldman, top drawer!

in one sense regarding Oldmans character it nailed the late 80s fact that even when the 70s bootboys became respectable they couldnt kick hooliganism. well not until the e's came along. completely failed on the "designer violence" theme though,even the cockneys werent dressing like yuppies. more like ronnie corbett on celebrity golf really

In the 70 s u would get a 50£ fine 4 breach a the peace . Then it jumped up to 500£. I knew a guy who got fined a,1000£in 1977.. equivalent 2day 2 35000£

Seen the Firm many times. I actually think it’s a bit hackneyed. I think Alan Clarke’s other project on Football Hooligans is much better, Arrivederci Millwall.
