I've had suicidal thoughts, and just wanting to give up on my marriage and life, even though I have twin 4 year olds. 😢 My inlaws have and still continue to try and get my wife to leave me..... but you have given me enough hope in myself that I believed I could go get a job, I went and applied, and got hired for a job, and I went to my wife and told her I'm ready to forget myself and put her FIRST... all because of you being an instrument in God's hands....I hope some day I can meet you in person, and thank you personally! I'm a divorced male who was married one time for 27 yrs to my beautiful wife, who is now married to another man for the last 11 yrs. She divorced me after her love for me died, and I have to face that I made her lose respect for me through sin issues I gave in to. Men...let me encourage you to love Jesus with all your heart, then love your wife like the Bible says, like Jesus loves the church...sacrificially, unselfishly, faithfully. I am a man of God but it will take heaven to heal the hurt in my soul over losing the marvelous wife and family (3 dhtrs hardly speak to me ) that the Lord blessed me with. Resist sin with all your strength for those wages we pay, don't always mean physical death, I'm a shell of a man without her in my life. You don't want to know sorrow like this.

I walked this road almost 10 years ago. In my case the jezebel spirit crept in, started on my wife to break me down, then started on me to break her down. All I had to do was stay in my marriage and trust God, but instead I divorced her because I felt like I couldn’t make her happy. She loved me and would’ve stuck by me no matter what but I put her away by divorcing her. In the middle of all this, she kept praying for me and God answered her prayers August 2018. The problem was, we were divorced and I had missed God’s plan for us. I tried to pursue her all over again and fought for her but she had moved on. She ended up getting cancer and passed away in 2019. It took time but God worked it all out. He allowed her to come say “Goodbye” to me in the spirit but He also allowed things to happen to me so I would learn from this, grow from this, and heal from this. I got married two more times to the wrong women trying to fill the shoes my first wife left behind and I finally got frustrated. I cried out to God and asked Him why things kept falling apart and said: “You didn’t ask me”. From that, God showed me things, sins, and relationships I needed to confess and renounce. I went back through my relationships, confessed my sins, renounced bad relationships, soul ties, and generational curses and God made me new. It took time, but God made me new and restored me. My wife passing away left me with a severely broken heart that was in no shape to love again despite me being married twice after her. It wasn’t until November 2022 that God healed my heart to love again and from there continually grew me. He’ll do the same for you. It requires sacrifice and purity on your part but I can tell you as a man who’s gone through the refiner’s fire, it’s worth it and God will restore and fix everything that’s broken in you.

Thank you. Sex was not an issue for my husband or lack of. I'm a little different than most women. We had no issues in the bedroom. If we could have lived in the bedroom we would still be together but you have to come out of those doors. We had many other problems. His ex wife. His children. He had custody of his son that caused a lot of problrms for us. His son is now 37 & found out last year that he is not even his. If we would have known about Jim Evens I know we would still be together.

My husband & I both agreed on these (both of us married 3 xs before). Altho I believe the point he's trying to make with gift jewelry is an example of how that in particular can make a woman feel like the most special person on earth to her partner, its specialized for her because he shopped for it, bought it with her in mind/heart. I'm not hung up on jewelry as gift but the few times husband has given it, it DID make me feel so special. But I felt the same special when he gave me my birthday card this year-- BECAUSE he took the time to shop for right one, do you see guys? Simple 😁

Yes. Years ago Dad bought my Mom a garden way cart for her Birthday. He took a lot of flack for that, but I knew instantly that it was the best thing he could have bought for her. Gardening was her thing. She used it until she moved to God's gardens. I often wonder what tools she uses there.

And the very obvious purpose of sexual organs is to have sex and make babies. Of course we humans are made differently by God. Besides procreation, our sexual organs are also made to give pleasure to our spouse. God actually did not want us to get married but because of all the sexual sin that takes place, God want us to get married so that we have that one special partner who will satisfy our sexual desires. Why should people avoid sex when they have come together in a marriage? Marriage is the union of two individuals as one flesh and having sex is the best representation of being together as one flesh. Because the two sexual organs are “joined” together in the act of sexual intercourse and through the exchange of body fluids (semen from a man entering the woman’s vagina), it forms a new individual with the DNA of the two persons. Sex is only shameful and dirty when it’s done outside of a marriage. When it takes place in a marriage, the two individuals have been blessed by God and the act of sexual intercourse becomes sacred and holy yet is a beautiful thing because it has been blessed by God. We should come together with our spouse in marriage with the intention of giving ourselves fully to our spouse through the special act of sexual intercourse because it is the most special way to express love.

But Mr Quack avoids quoting 1 Corinthians 7:5 which is the best teaching for married people ever since it comes from the Lord. Anyone can read in it that NO SPOUSE has authority over his/her own body but the other spouse has. So , a wife has NO RIGHT to defraud her husband without his consent. what women want is to have a man make a big deal about her like holding her hand when you walk together,When shes cooking kiss her neck and tell her how much you love her.Its not always about romance its about effort show her that you think about her during the day and they she means something to her.Like realizing that when she is coming to you after a hard day something as lil as asking her do you want me to watch the kids so you can nap or coming home with dinner.Thoughtfullness goes so far,for myself if someone is thoughtfull and they put in effort there is nothing i wont do for you.I think if more people did this there would be less divorce and more people would feel loved

How can Christians be so confused ? @@framboise595 I don't know why the joy and romance of others troubles you. The Bible gives basic requirements. Chastity and no fornication for single adults.. and a commandment against adultry. In marriage the couple becomes "one flesh". That is a spiritual reality as well as physical. It's beautiful, deep and nurturing. Sex is certainly more than eat, drink or a carnal maintenance need. And sex is far from the number one reason to marry. Sex isn't enough to hold a marriage together BUT being one in spirit, mind & body is better than Superglue. Of course if joy and the intimacy of romance trouble you then you can always marry someone who thinks sex is just an appetite to be kept at bay. But that's your preference, it's not a Biblical duty.

@ Wrinthia K There is no such thing as "spiritual intimacy" in marriage. But there is such thing as SEXUAL intimacy. A couple must refrain from sex for a time in order to pray and fast. (1 Co 7:5) Those are the things that any Christian does , married or not. This has absolutely nothing to do with marriage at all. You do'nt read the Bible because you're married ! You don't pray because you're married ! But you have SEX because you're married. Because the law of marriage is sex , you have to temporary break this law in order to deal with higher spiritual matters . Please don't get everything mixed up. Divide the spirit and the flesh in a biblical way

Isabelle M that’s weird...if god didn’t think females were necessary...he wouldn’t have created Eve. They do make the world go round. So do men. In different ways...although the whole healthcare realm would collapse if no females existed, as most CNA’s and RN’s are female, many X-ray techs, phlebotomists, pharmacy techs and pharmacists, microbiologists...along with a growing amount of physiciens . Women are the most involved in advocacy for children and elders, most volunteers are women...and on and on. Women do the majority of appts for their children, drs and dentists and nursing them to health. Isabelle M EVERYTHING is about connection in the Bible. It is a love story of relationship. Sex is merely a physical expression of the potential of a deeper spiritual and emotional connection. The Bible speaks of this connection many times, let no man tear asunder.... etc. That’s not the physical act. God’s not saying let no one pull them out of literally having sex...but the spiritual bond that makes them one. The physical act is the tangible piece. The spiritual connection is the non tangible...accessed through the physical/tangible act. Of course not all sex will have that connection, since we live in a sinful/selfish world....but it was created with deep communion as the possibility...just as communion/ restored connection/relationship was the ultimate goal, with Jesus being sent as Savior. The ultimate wounding, hurt, occurs when one feels abandoned in relationship...this is often emotionally and spiritually. If someone is using sex selfishly, it can result in this disconnect, which is like tearing away connection. Jesus cries out “my god, my god, why hast though forsaken me”... this was the ultimate pain, that being alone, being turned from. It wasn’t physical...but emotional and spiritual. We were created in God’s image..and since he isn’t a sexual being...that’s so minor...it’s but a gateway to connecting. Jesus was all about connecting to others and it didn’t involve sex🙄 Sex is a gift, and yes a tool for reproduction...but the hormones (bonding ones) are similar to when a mother breastfeeds her baby. It creates a desire to nurture, it’s connecting and establishing a deeper bond. Of course god would create hormones like this...for attachment etc, to make it more likely that a family unit is in place. Society, selfishness etc..makes it so this isn’t often the case. Too many get bored and move on...we live in a fast paced, disposable, jaded society. Why would a woman be at all interested in marriage in which a man can get sex whenever? When a woman can find plenty of men who will get to know her, wait and not push for sex...but when they finally do, he actually can please her...unlike so many men out there. Sex is so man centered in some realms...that a man who will please a woman is incredibly enticing and more motivating to do things with. Otherwise, a woman feeling obligated, will fake things to get things over...be dissatisfied and disassociated during sex, wishing it would end...and creating more harm to her psyche. If a man is understanding, loving and will do what needs to happen for his wife to have pleasure...oh, wow...it’s on.

Statistics now reveal that around 60% of marriage end due to a problem with porn (including the men with PIED) Many of these men are no longer having sex with willing wives..either because they use all their energy masturbating to porn..or have shifted their dopamine reward system (that has to be working for erection...to answer your pleasure question)..and they can’t perform anyways. There is a very small percentage of women relieved..as they didn’t like the sex with their husbands anyways... but many are frustrated and lonely, feeling very unwanted etc. Divorce is driven by this dynamic more than any other cause...and this was released from a study by divorce lawyers. I can get my need for respect met at work or with friends but when I only go to one person for sexual needs and get turned down regularly... I find it hard to believe that when you are having sex that you BOTH GET TO HAVE SEX but when I am meeting her emotional needs it almost never ends in sex and yet within 24 hours those emotional needs come right back to me wanting to be fed again. Whatever I did yesterday doesn’t count anymore and the sex we had 2 months ago should be enough to keep me satisfied. 😔

Marriage - or more succinctly, the covenant of marriage - is by God's design for sexual intimacy (Genesis 2-24), children and mirroring the oneness that Christ has with FatherGod. Ephesians 5 elaborates on the roles of both the husband and wife. Now, it's true that one can have sex and produce children without being married, but if one's desire is to follow God's instruction, "it is better to marry than to burn" (with lust). I've heard so many times the lie that we get married because of "love" . As if love could do anything for people's sexual urges ! It is so serious. So, is it ok for a man to rape his wife if his wife is sick or in pain? There are situations where husbands should be required to sacrifice his own needs and not be inconsiderate. Both husband and wife serve God first and foremost, only secondly they serve their spouses. God is also telling husbands to be considerate and loving, righteous and not selfish, so where would all of that be in such a situation? A wife's duty comes only second to her husband after her duty to Christ who is the head and foundation of a holy marriage. A abusive husband is not a righteous husband with God's love. @@larrygentis3838 Well , the Bible says that a virtuous wife is her HUSBAND's crown. It is the husband who wears the crown , just like Christ is King of kings. A man does not "become" a king IF . He is the king of his kingdom , ie his family. Treating the wife as a queen is a new concept now shared by Catholics too. In Proverbs 31 , the wife is praised and honoured by her husband and her sons , but she is not regarded as a "queen" first. Anyway , in Israel , you had kings , but never queens. The only queen in Judah was a usurper. That said , some may say , if the husband is king , the wife is his queen then . OK , but in submission only.

The crown, or the throne, are only images and allegorical expressions of this. Encouragement has great power for good, but discouragement has the adverse effect. I surely don't mean to "idolize" my wife, but rather to value her as God's great gift to me. That's what I mean by "my queen!"
