The key notion to understand regarding God choosing us is that such a choice is not without criteria, and that criteria is often spelled out in scripture, "Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved".

The God, John Calvin created, is a mercurial, unjust God. Is that Calvinist God possible? Yes. Does that God exist? No. The argument is NOT what God CAN do, but rather what God DID do, according to scriptural accounts. Acts 16: 30-31. Believing is a voluntary choice, available to every human being.....not a select few that God created for salvation.

One of the problems of calvinists is that God's will can co-exist with God' desire. Here is the scriptural truth, that Andy does not understand: All that God wills, He desires. All that God desires, He does not will. God created free will in his humans BUT did not WILL (control) human choice, human will. Yes, a sovereign God can design us as free choice humans......and in fact He did. And foreknowledge is NOT determinism. Because God knows the outcome does not mean God caused the outcome. Again, could God create (will) any system or human He desired? Yes. Our truth is in WHAT God DID DO as revealed in scripture, not what He could do.

Sad, sad, sad, that a human philosophy, infected the church. Source of the untruth? Augustine. Augustine converted to Christianity but never left his Manecean (beliefs) roots behind, his gnostic view of the "gods." Then Calvin refined these untrue beliefs.

30:13 No Calvinist would say that God randomly chose which people He wanted to be saved. They would say He had His reasons, but they are unknown to us, and that His choice was not made by looking at anything good or bad a person would do.
@TheRomans9Guy
@TheRomans9Guy Год назад
You’re right, Calvinists don’t usually like when their theology has light shown on it’s dark corners. “Random” “arbitrary” are going to be used interchangeably here and they’re both right. We/you would believe that God has a reason but the reason is indiscernible. There’s no stated reason and no possible good reason we can think of. We can’t even hypothesize a reason. This is what arbitrary means, no discernible reason.
@peterfox7663
@peterfox7663 Год назад
@@TheRomans9Guy Yes, God's choice of who will believe and be saved is arbitrary in Calvinism. Arbitrary does not mean random. It means solely at the discretion of the arbiter, in this case God. Unknown reasons do not necessitate random, either.
@TheRomans9Guy
@TheRomans9Guy Год назад
@@peterfox7663 you see enough of a difference between arbitrary and random to want to defend one against the other, fair enough. The good news is none of this is scriptural anyways, God doesn’t arbitrarily choose only some people. That’s actually the opposite of the biblical message. What is scriptural is that God loves and has chosen all people. There is no nonelect group. It doesn’t exist.

Love your sermons on the error of Calvinism. I'll give you another option for Ephesians 1. Chosen( in Christ) = The foreordained chosen method of reconciliation to God ( 1 Peter 1:19 The lamb without spot or blemish verily ( foreordained) before the foundation of the world. Let's biblically define the reference to adoption OF Sons, remember it doesn't say anything about individuals predestined to be anything. The adoption that Paul is referring to is CLEARLY defined in Romans 8:23 and Paul says we are WAITING for the adoption ( to wit = the redemption of the body= glorification or to be conformed into the image of Christ). Why would Paul say anyone was waiting to become a child of God ? He wouldn't as he mentioned in Romans 8:15 we cry Abba father having the spirit of adoption. Presupposition concerning the word adoption in the Calvinist mental framing causes one to see this as being adopted as in our modern understanding rather than Paul's application.The airport analogy works well with this = Bill goes to the airport and finds out there are only two airplanes leaving. One is predestined to Minneapolis the other is predestined for Dallas Texas. Bill is not predestined to anything until he buys a ticket and boards one of the two airplanes. Ephesians is the same, until someone is in Christ by faith they are predestined to nothing. Christ is the predestined method God has ordained. The next problem with leaving out omniscient foreknowledge is Romans 8:29 . The word foreknew is the Greek word ( proginosko) two possible ways of defining proginosko.#1 to literally know before as in foreknowledge # 2 The other is to know personally or intimately before or of old ,( times past) This is demonstrated in Romans 11:2 in reference to the judicial hardening of Israel. God has not cast off those He foreknew ( proginosko)Individuals God has had an intimate relationship ( knowing) with in times past . Romans has a theme of justification by faith beginning with Abraham not of ( works of the LAW) then moving to encourage the persecuted Church ( Grecian Jews and Gentiles) that God would see them through= nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ,God works everything out for the good of those who love God. Application of this is logical in that just as God has brought through the patriarchs = those God foreknew( He had an intimate relationship with of old or times past) He did predestinate ( foreordained plan of reconciliation chosen before the foundation of the world 1 Peter 1:19)and demonstrated faithfulness their confidence could be sure. Paul then in Romans 9,10 illustrates the reason Gods word hasn't failed regarding the circumcised lineage of Abraham that they didn't receive the promise by faith. Paul directly points towards the prophesied judicial hardening making reference to Jeremiah in the potter having power over the clay Jeremiah 18. Omniscient foreknowledge predestination to salvation isn't the only option. I hope this blesses someone ❤ The next conundrum is 1 peter 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God. The word elect by law of first mention is a reference to Israel ( Jacob) and is more of a job description. Israel was elected to bring forth the seed of the woman or the Messiah ( Lion of the tribe of Judah) not all Israelites are elected or predestined to salvation but they are still called the elect. God elected the Jews to bless the nations not to the neglect of the nations. They were given the oracles of GodJacob was elected ( job description) as a representative ( Israel) Esau was not elected to for that position. God was emphasizing his hand by going against tradition chosing the younger rather than first born,also choosing the weakest of the two. Esau was not damned just not elected for that particular position 1 Peter 1:2 is referring to the chosen or elected position or function of spreading the Gospel ( Apostles, disciples, preaching) not soteriology or salvation. The word election is usually defined with soteriological presuppositions.

When did God chose his people In Christ? Answer: before the foundation of the world

@@aletheia8054 Christ was the one chosen foreordained before the foundation of the world 1 Peter 1 19, anyone IN Christ by the biblical qualifier of faith is chosen, elected and predestined to be conformed into His image. @Sermonseeker777 Год назад
@@aletheia8054 You didn't exist before the foundation of the world,Christ did and all those who would believe In Christ are predestined to the adoption OF SONS not to be SONS . Romans 8:23 defines what the word adoption means and with your understanding that people were CHOSEN we are still waiting to be children of God? Why would Paul say we are waiting for the adoption in Romans 8:23? The same word used in Ephesians. Calvinists also see this as people being chosen to salvation or predestined to be adopted as children. When applied correctly the word adoption is not defined as in our modern time " Wendy is an adopted child". The word adoption is more of a process of inheritance . The phrase chosen in him would have to be interpreted by that understanding ' chosen to BE in him'. John 15:16 is interpreted by Calvinists in a soteriological way similarly when Christ is not speaking of anyone chosen for salvation period. The apostles we're chosen to bear fruit or preach the gospel. Judas was also ' chosen ' proving this is not about soteriology or salvation but a purposeful choice of Christ or ' election ' to a position. Reading comprehension issues along with presuppositional application of buzz words like predestined, election or chosen are foundational to bad doctrine. Arminian application of the word chosen in Ephesians= God chose something because He knew you would choose the very same something ? Calvinist application = Individuals outside of Christ were chosen before they existed in eternity past? Those applications are obviously nonsensical. Why would God have to choose something based on the foreknowledge individuals would choose the same something. How could God clearly instruct people to choose life or who they will serve Dueteronomy 30:19, Joshua 24:15 if God is doing the choosing? The application of Christ being ' chosen' or the chosen method or corporate understanding ' the body of Christ ' is consistent throughout scripture. If someone wants to believe they were elected, predestined or chosen because of God's unilateral or unconditional decision they will do so with an obvious twisting of scripture. If someone wants to believe God chose someone to do something He knew they would choose to do anyway ......well it sounds ridiculous because it is.

The L in T.U.L.P. Stands for “Limited Atonement” it is a Mistranslation from Dutch to English. Dutch is the original linguist in which the 5 articles of the Contra Remonstrant were written. It was a response on the 5 articles of the remonstrant written in 1610 by the Arminian Uittenbogaard . He wrote the 5 articles that the synod of Dordrecht 1618 - 1619 opposed to. There were 62 Dutch delegates, and 27 foreign delegates representing eight countries. The word which Uittenbogaard used means: “Particular Atonement” and Christ Died particularly for every person of the whole world. The Synod upheld the Sufficiency of the dead Of Christ for the whole World and if it was for 1000 worlds, but opposed the idea of Particular. At the time that this controversy on the Synod of Dodrecht Calvin had already Died in 1564, and had nothing to do with it. The true meaning of limited attonement is stated in these articles that were written and put together by the delegates of the Synod to explain the Atonement Of Christ. 2-3. This death of the Son of God is the only and perfect sacrifice and satisfaction for sins; of infinite power and dignity, abundantly sufficient to atone for the sins of the whole world. 2-4. And this death is therefore of such great power and dignity, because the person who suffered it is not only a truly and utterly holy man, but also the only begotten Son of God, of one eternal and infinite being with the Father and the Holy Ones. Spirit, such as our Savior must be. Moreover, because his death has been attended with the sense of the wrath of God and of the curse which we have deserved by our sins. 2-5. Furthermore, the promise of the gospel is, that whosoever believeth on Christ crucified shall not perish, but have eternal life; which promise to all nations and men, to whom God, according to his good pleasure, sends his gospel, must be proclaimed and presented indiscriminately, with a commandment of repentance and faith. 2-6. But that many, being called by the gospel, repent not, neither believe in Christ, but perish in unbelief, this is not for want or insufficiency of the sacrifice of Christ offered on the cross, but through their own unbelief.

Say according to Scripture if you belief the Bible, but many freewilliers reject all scripture that goes against their idea. The Reformation is part of History. Calvin did not make a new doctrine but all he did is referring to the early church fathers like John Chrysostom, against the heresies of the Catholic church However I gladly give you some Bible text Words like “predestined - predestinated - foreknowledge - elect - election - foreordained” appear with regularity and are always the basis for Pauline teaching on salvation. When someone denies personal predestination from before the foundation of the World” it shows that they have never really stood toe-to-toe with the Bible and read it for what it actually says. The staunchest brick wall opposition to deny the truth of God’s word is always built on traditions of men; never on the clear word of Scripture. Our fleshly, human ego just loves the idea that our “will” is totally at liberty. Yet, the Bible tells us that we are “dead in trespasses and sins.” Human tradition refuses to believe that. And Biblical salvation is always based on God’s free and sovereign grace, Only His will and His good pleasure; NEVER on our willingness first and God’s grace last. Again, human tradition refuses to believe that. Exodus 33:19 And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. Proverbs 16:4 The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble. Matthew 20:23 He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.” Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 25:34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Mark 13:20 And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. John 17:9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. Romans 8:28-30 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. Romans 9:11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls), 12 it was said to her, “The older shall serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.” 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. Romans 11:7 What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was seeking. The elect obtained it, but the rest were hardened, 2 Timothy 1:9 Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, Ephesians 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will. Ephesians 1:11-12 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 1 Peter 1:2 According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you. 1 Peter 1:20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you Galatians 1:15 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, 1 Thessalonians 1:4 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, Revelation 13:8 And all who dwell on earth will worship it, ( So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast) everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. Revelation 20:1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more. Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan WILL BE released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. “WILL BE” means it will happen BECAUSE of God’s Decree. Why now release Satan to deceive the nations? This lifetime is short and Hell is forever. Would you rather be presumptuous and not find out the truth. Never Lost is Never Saved. How much FREE-WILL do people in Thailand have with 93% practicing Buddhist and 5.5% Islam 1.5% divided in no religion and Christians? To be born & raised a Buddhist only a miracle from our Sovereign Lord can change the heart of a person. If God wanted all to be saved all would be saved. The old covenant was for Israel only. They do not understand the covenant theology of the Bible, nor do they care to. This is wilfull ignorance in things pertaining to salvation! Like predestination and election. And Jacob and Esau. A clearly revealed truth that they shall wrest unto their own destruction! Jesus spoke so clearly, but yet the religious leaders would say things like: who can hear this? The same as a disobedient child who may hold their hands over their ears while being instructed. If one does not consider what is being said? When he told them "you did not choose me, but i chose you" yes, He called the 12 personally. He chose them to go and bear fruit, lasting fruit, so whatever those disciples ask in his name will be given to them. They will go to Israel, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth preaching the Gospel and bearing that fruit, that lasting fruit, which increases the people of the Kingdom of God. And again, Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. So it isn't just applicable to only the apostles since he clearly taught it publicly. Paul also confirms this several times but especially to the church at thessalonica that their love for eachother, the brethren, is evident as they have no need to hear about as they are taught by God. There is a lot of subtext as well within the context but the statements about having a place prepared is also extended to all believers as all who love the Father will dwell with Him, as the church will be prepared as a bride for her groom and so dwell with Him for eternity. Many passages talk clearly with no other interpretation needed. I am not just taking that as the only context but rather comparing with Scripture throughout. The setting is indeed Jesus talking with His disciples and looking at the specific questions, responses, as well as additional passages, we see your examples as having context wxpressed to all believers whereas the choosing I see no other passages about God choosing individuals to be saved, rather, individuals who believe will then be blessed to the predestined holiness, perfection and to walk in the good works which were laid out for us before the foundation of the world in Christ. Whoever believes will have everlasting life. Whoever loves God and keeps His commandments will be in Him and He in them, and will inherit eternal life. God chose pharoah just as much as He chose the disciples. For a mission to glorify Him by using the foolishness of the world to demonstrate the glory and wisdom of Himself. The firstborn got the promises, so God used the foolish secondborn to inherit the blessing. Pharoah was powerful, God used a runaway child of a slave with a speech impediment to bring a message and save His people from bondage and humble the gods of Egypt. God used the hardness of the Israelites to demonstrate His love for everyone and bring salvation through promise instead of works. God in Scripture chooses for purposes and missions, not necessarily to be saved, but to bring salvation through faith in Hid power.

“All means all.” Is that seriously an objection? Do you know how absurd your reading of Scripture would have to be in order for this to be universally true? You would have to ignore any context you run into. “And all the region of Jude’s was going out to him, and all the people of Jerusalem; and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins” (Mark 1:5). So every single individual human being within Judea and Jerusalem, hundreds of thousands if not millions of individuals… because “all means all” went out and got baptized, right? “And when He had entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying ‘Who is this?’ And the crowds were saying, ‘This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee’” (Matt. 21:10). Again, did every single individual human being within the city of Jerusalem stir and ask who Jesus was? Or could it be that there was a large crowd indeed but that the city was still running as usual with folks in their homes, marketplaces, temple, etc., who probably weren’t observing Jesus’ entry? By your argument, all means all, right? Every single individual must have been out there to see this! “Then all the city was stirred, and the people rushed together, and taking hold of Paul they dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut” (Acts 21:30). Same question! Does this mean that every single individual within the city was simultaneously stirred and they ALL grabbed hold of Paul? All means all, right? Or could it be that the word “all” has to be defined within it’s context? Could it be that taking one definition of a word and forcing every use of that word to have the same definition results in absurdity? There are so many examples of “all the people” coming to Jesus to hear His teaching that clearly doesn’t mean “every single individual, all means all,” in that sense. It’s just a silly and simplistic way of reading the Scriptures.

Andy woods has never done a good job tearing apart Calvinism LOL Andy woods is hardly a theologian and I'm really sorry to say but this gentleman here should spend more time studying his Bible and less time preaching. You would think that if he spent any time in seminary he would understand the Greek and Hebrew texts and if he did he would understand hermeneutics and if he did he would understand contexts and if he did he would understand that he is raping this passage and yanking it out of its context kicking and screaming....... You need to read that those he have called he's also predestined passage backward. Because it's written in the past tense. There are those that Jesus has already glorified. Though we do not see it yet.... There are those whom Jesus has already justified though it may be in the future. There are those whom Jesus called and predestined or Destined beforehand to be conformed to the image of Christ though it was done before the foundation of the world..... And the word for new there does not mean he knew beforehand what they would do. It means for known like the word know when it's referring to Adam knowing his wife intimately.........he knew them intimately before hand..........not their deeds.....them........ When that passage is written by Paul he is saying all of it in the past tense as if it is already happened why? Because the Lord our God bought-and-paid-for his elect with his blood..... My goodness he even refers to the elect Angels when speaking of the good and the evil angels.... Folks I don't see how this passage can be any clearer but that's okay it's not important that you take my word for it all you have to do is study Romans 9 and Ephesians 1 and keep reading your Bibles and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you so that you're not let astray by these ridiculous Man centered teachings that are more worried about man reconciling it in his mind how God would not choose everyone and man reconciling in his mind that we are free moral agent but we do not have freewill meaning we're able to make good decisions but no one absolutely no one comes to Christ unless the father draws you and in the Greek the word therefore draw is helco and it means to drag not to draw

Why would the Lord go on at length in Scripture admonishing, warning, and criticizing people for their stiff necked refusal to believe. As this Pastor said, why lecture a rattlesnake about his "moral" failings when he bites people? They aren't wired to hear it, just like totally depraved people aren't wired to understand their lost state. Why would the Bible say that people refuse the love of the truth and so be saved? Why make the statement? It is redundant. Is it directed toward potential believers? Maybe, but after they are irresistibly graced to believe, it wouldn't apply to them. Why does Jesus weep over Jerusalem? He states in Matthew 23 that He had everything to give them but they were not "WILLING"! If they were not willing, it logically presupposes they have a will and made a horrible choice. Well of course the Calvinists would respond and say they were not willing because of the Bondage of their warped will as totally depraved people. It sure seems like Jesus wanted them. He wanted to have them receive blessings and His protection. Sounds like He had a reason to "Elect" them. Instead, Jesus weeps because a choice was set before them of life or death, God or the world, and He was saddened because they chose the world. Couldn't God have simply used Irresistible Grace to bring them to Jesus? There are hundreds of passages like this that are not at all in step with Calvinism. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world...not just the elect. John 3:16-18, 1st John 2:2, Hebrews 2:9, etc. If Calvinism were true, hundreds of passages would have to be rewritten because Calvinistic theology read back into to Scripture would be incoherent. How should the above passages be rewritten? How about these? "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Timothy 2:1-6. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2nd Peter 3:9. Did God predestine Judas to betray Jesus? Did God do something to Judas to force him to betray the Messiah as part of His Divine plan? Was Judas just walking along minding his own business with no plans to commit any mayhem against Jesus when the Lord - needing a betrayer - irresistibly forced Judas to betray? God simply prophesied what He knew Judas would do with the choices he had. So, was it foreordained? Yes, but not forced by God to happen. There isn't a single passage in Scripture that ever remotely indicates that God forces people to believe in Him. If that were the case, the Bible would have plainly said so. There isn't a single passage in Scripture that ever remotely indicates that Jesus only dies for the elect. Therefore, it seems that it is you who has the faulty hermeneutic and are simply reading Calvinist talking points back into Scripture. If I read the verses in Ephesians and Romans in isolation, I might think that God chooses who He wants to be saved and chooses people He doesn't want to be saved. But given the entire bulk of Scripture that utterly refutes the TULIP, I have to look at election and predestination in light of the whole of the Bible. It presents a grander, fairer, more loving, and open invitation to all people, who apart from Christ, are dead in sins and without hope. Divine foreknowledge of all who would believe has God predestining them in Christ and sealing them. After all, since God knows who will be saved, it seems that He would predestine them to service to carry out His Divine plan. It seems then we have a Savior who comes to earth, dies for all sinners, wants all to be saved, draws people, but also knows that not all will receive Him. We have to face the scary thought that we are the image bearers of God (even post Fall) and can say yes or say no. God seals and predestines - with His Foreknowledge - those who freely choose to believe, and predestines them to service and assurance in this life and a glorious eternity in Heaven.

Wow this guy is really not very bright. Something that is predestined is what? Destined beforehand!!! This isn't rocket science folks...... They were chosen when? Before the foundation of the world...... Read all of Romans 9 from the beginning Jacob I have loved and he saw I've hated not for anything they have done because they were not yet born and had not time to do good or evil but so that my electing purposes would be fulfilled as it is written the older she'll serve the younger. This is not rocket science this is simple language. Jesus is saying very simply that he called an elected and chose some and did not call and did not elect and did not choose others otherwise all would be saved. the amount of language gymnastics you have to perform to twist what the scripture is saying here is mind-boggling. This is very very simple if some are chosen then the inevitable fact is some are not chosen and we are the only ones that seem to have a difficult time dealing with that fact God is not trying to get off the hook for any of this he has stated what he has stated and he's not apologizing for it he does not prevent others from entering the kingdom of God he simply passes over them and allows them to do what they already want to do witches hate God because everyone who is dead and their trespasses and sins already hates God he does not have to do anything to change that they already hate him but in his goodness and in his Mercy he chooses to save some otherwise the whole world would go to hell and he would be completely justified in sending everyone to hell because all have sinned and fallen short of his glory this is not a Salvation where man is worshipped it is a Salvation where God is worshiped this is not a Christianity where we are the central focus it's a Christianity where the glory of God is the central focus and until we understand that we're going to keep making mistakes like this hermeneutical mistake this gentleman is making right here

Calvinism wins. You guys are Arminian Conditionalist Pretribulation Post Mill heretic that believes you can on lose your salvation Salvati John 6:37 "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." Calvinists argue that this passages teaches irresistible grace. The individual cannot refuse God's choice, therefore all those given to Christ will respond. John 6:44,65 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." The Calvinist holds that these passages teach total depravity, unconditional election, and also imply limited atonement and double predestination. This is because: "No one can come to me unless . . . " because they are totally depraved "it has been granted him from the Father" or "the Father draws him" meaning unconditional election. Unconditional in this case, because the cause is the father, not the individual. Limited atonement and double predestination are usually inferred from the face that it is impossible to come to him without election. Therefore, those whom the Father has not drawn are naturally destined for judgement, and are therefore those for whom Christ did not die. John 15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain..." Some Calvinists (and Augustine) have argued that this a proof text for unconditional election, emphasizing the irrelevance of human choice. Acts 13:48 "And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed." The Calvinists argue that this verse teaches unconditional election, because it would have been easy to say "as many as believed were appointed eternal life" but the reverse is stated. Romans 9:16,22,23 The Calvinist position is that Romans 9 teaches unconditional election and double predestination. This is because: Vs. 16 "it [God's choice] does not depend on the man who wills" Vs. 18 refers to double predestination. Vs. 22, 23 refer to "vessels of wrath prepared for destruction" and "vessels of mercy prepared beforehand for glory." The election involved is not a national election, because vs. 24 states that the vessels of mercy are "us, whom He called not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles,"" (i.e. believing Christians). Galatians 1:15,16 "But when He who had set me apart, even from my mother's womb, and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles..." Calvinists interpret this passage to mean that God irresistibly called Paul because he was elected to salvation. They further argue that Paul's salvation is typical of all Christians in this regard. Ephesians 1:4,5 "...just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will" Calvinists cite this passage as teaching unconditional election. God "chose us. . .before the foundation of the world." He "has predestined us to adoption as sons. . .according to the kind intention of His will." These phrases are taken to mean that God has sovereignly decided in advance who will be saved, completely irrespective of human choice. II Thessalonians 2:13 "But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth." Calvinists interpret this passage to refer to unconditional election. Jude 1:4 "For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." Calvinists hold that this passage teaches double-predestination. The false teachers were "long ago marked out [by God] for... condemnation." Calvinism Wins. You guys are Arminian Conditionalist Pretribulation, Free Grace, Post Millennium, Post rapture Lordship salvation synergist, Preterist trash
