Drains nowadays are filled with sludge and sediment. To make thing worse, trees are growing in the drains. Floods in Taiping town would be inevitable. According to one of my Indian friends who worked for Majlis Perbandaran Taiping until his retirement, how the administration is managing and their attitude are very different now.
Being the top echelon of our society, regardless at each level and ranking members , come with high expectations for keeping the moneymaking machine running for generations to come. They, regardless their colour do not directly suffer from this climate change for now. Only the poor rakyats with sporadic handouts and #kitajagakita . Land mining , poaching , cutting of trees and the list goes on just to satisfy their never ending greed. What’s next ? Another mansion in London or a Ferrari in the porch ?

Totally agreed with you Sir, don't blame Act of God's due to disasters which many Malaysians believe. All these happens, Government does nothing at all. We all know that flood happens every year and Government does not take efforts to stop or prevent it. Look at Singapore and Netherlands, their land is lower than Malaysia, do they have flood when raining 3 days non stop? Think about it, dear Malaysians.
