@@LazzyVamples Either one can be used for a series of 4. Although tetralogy is more in line with trilogy, quadrilogy sounds better and gets the point across more easily to most people.
@@amitriptyline01 Yet in one of those videos he's talking to chat. And he isn't playing the story at all. He's just skipping between the games and doing challenge maps. He can do whatever he wants and I was just busting his balls and joking around, but it seems like he really doesn't care for them, so then why play them?
@RU-viddoesntlikeme That makes the most sense. They were probably almost done with the ps2 and Wii version and then decided to produce for the newer consoles. The idea was probably to maximize profits but the fact that they mostly rebuilt the game with completely different levels is insane
Most Star Wars games these days really go for the more "grounded" (within the context of the Star Wars universe) feel, too afraid to make you actually feel powerful like the Force Unleashed games did I wish they'd go back to that type of games again by giving you such powerful Force powers. like, I just discovered the other day in Legends, they legit have a goddamn Force ability that lets you harness power from the planet and fire it like a beam, Kamehameha style. I want something like that
@@fenison4430it is a good game. It's just the endless ports developed bugs no one wanted to fix. At launch, at least the PC version, wasn't buggy at all.
Possibly Hot Take: When I played Force Unleashed, I liked it better on the Wii. It was actually a lot of fun and the controls were pretty good on remote and nunchuck. When I tried it one Xbox or whatever I tried it on later, it just didn’t feel the same. It looked better, but the controls a gameplay took it on the Wii.
Played the PS2 version (same levels as the Wii). Cutscenes were cooler there (Vader tears down a whole TREE HOUSE with the force) and Starkiller has a Force Choke from the start
Rule of thumb, if something happens in the Disney canon, it likely happened in the old canon. So if you wanna see a different depiction of how Boba survived the sarlaac pit, read an old canon book or comic. This also applies to Palpatine somehow returning.
Left trigger + face buttons to access your special force moves. Square for lightsaber throw, circle for repulse. If you want to make a shishkebab you have to *keep* right trigger held down the whole time or you'll drop the target. You can also combine push with dash by pressing circle right after left bumper for a super dodge that blasts everything in your way. Along with repulse, this is one of your main panic moves anytime you start to get overwhelmed Force powers can also be used on environmental objects. Lightning turns them into bombs, push can help with throws at weird angles. If the object is *already* a bomb lightning will just blow it up. What's more important than controls for creating fun anime-escque combos is the environmental interactions. Experiment with everything you even suspect might work. Experiment even if you think it *won't* work
Zanny, watching you play the sarlacc level really unlocked a memory in my head I forgot I had. I remember playing that level and having so much fun as a little kid just messing with the npc's watching them fly around cause of the wind, and walking through those tunnels with all the tentacles reaching out for you, and me just slicing as many as them down as I could just for the fun of it; it took so little to entertain me as a child back then. Very good times. Thanks for reminding me of this Zanny!
Zanny: Casually mentions God of War in a Force Unleashed video Me: Internally debating if I should mention that the story of God of War (2018) was based on a script for the unproduced live-action Star Wars: Underworld series that tied into/pitched the idea of The Force Unleashed
The Wii one you played is a ported version of the Ps2 TFU which is extremely different compared to the Ps3 and 360 version. Mission layouts, minor details, and some boss fights are completely different compared to the 360 and Ps3 verions on the game. The most notable thing the modern versions did other than graphical improvements was the dlc they made for it which you should definitely check out! Ultimately the Ps2, Wii, and Psp versions of the base game are better than their next gen remake counterpart on the Ps3 and 360.
I was sad that Maelstrom wasn't in the next gen versions. Pulling down the star destroyer being a cutscene in them was also more better because it was honestly super annoying to play.
My dude went back to the force unleashed before even blinking at your comment bro. Dudes a clown stop trying. There’s so many more RU-vidrs that would give you a better uncharted playthrough than Zanny. And if you’d watch it just for Zanny….i can’t help you dog 💀
Disney needs to start recasting legacy characters. It’s weird enough when Luke Skinwalker shows up with his uncanny face, but it becomes frustrating when they use AI to recreate James Earl Jones’ voice.
My favorite thing to do in TFU is enable all the codes and just fuck around I love just repeatedly using the force to basically make Starkiller say “stop hitting yourself” to random troops
This might be surprising but there are several things in the Wii version of TFU that were exclusive to that console, and as I’ve only played it on the Xbox I wouldn’t be shocked if there were parts of the game that weren’t on the Wii
I have come to inform zanny of the future Star Wars videos. Star Wars Jedi Knight Outcast(maybe only on Steam PC) Star Wars Jedi Knight Academy(maybe only on Steam Pc) Aside from that I also would ask that he consider another great indie game to play with his friends. Heroes of Hammerwatch.
13:21 they are different games, and the DS version is different from both of them... but I played the wii version and this mission was definitely in it
Still have my original copy of this game for the 360, even played it again recently. I definitely don’t remember it being this buggy lol, so you’re right that something might have been borked in the ports to current gen.
That comment about Force Unleashed coming before God of War hurt. The General looked drunk in the opening level. Zanny to Disney RE: Kashyyk: "More slavery, please!"
We seriously need a modern version of The Force Unleashed games, and I mean modern as in graphically and mechanically, I don't mean making it a damn live service like everything else. 😒 Absolutely loved these games in my teenage years, Sam Witwer is a wicked talented actor and a Star Wars scholar of sorts lol, he brought Starkillers character to life.
I mean sure a remake or remaster would be great, but I wasn't necessarily being specific about the details, I just want a new iteration of the Force Unleashed to enjoy no matter what form it comes in lol.
@@buzzyb13 Exactly, man. Though, I think disney, and most studios, are more focused on getting money... Which sucks cause possibilities are only in our imagination now. Imagine if a game released properly finished, had an amazing story as well as game mechanics, and was immersive the entire way through in today's age? No need for an update every week or to even make the game work. While there are still some good games today, I REALLY miss the old days where I was confident enough in a game to stand outside of gamestop at midnight XD
Dude i bought that game 3 days ago and finished it yesterday, im trying to get all of the holocrons now, i havent played the dlcs but the game is as good as i remember when i was kid really the best star wars game when it comes to story imo
The odd thing is on the PC port I had no issues with bugs, and given the game was definitely developed for consoles it seems weird that the PC was the more stable platform.
Maybe try the Empire at War mods by Corey Loses. My favorite is Empire at War Expanded: Fall of the Republic. Could be a cool streaming game. Tons of Star Wars Lore, plenty of chat time, RTS and Galactic campains with SUPER STAR DESTROYERS
5:37 I don't know, Rey is pretty freaking OP and Obi wan just casually lifted all those boulders. Palpatine's Sith base boosted lighting also destroyed 100s of starship with relative ease.
I know I'm three days late, but did you know that your lightsaber, before you go to Raxus Prime a second time and during the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th missions and the jedi temple mission, is supposed to be green? In the novel, when Starkiller was being rebulit, he was given Kota's lightsaber instead of a blue one.
Even though it's not as flashy or fancy, or even maybe as fun as the 360/PS3 version, the PS2 version is the superior experience, I think. It's basically a director's cut of TFA, with more levels, more story beats, more bosses (like the two phantom Sith Lords in the Jedi Temple), and a very competent and consistent graphical style for a PS2 game. I mean, there's a whole ass Bespin level where you're fighting Mandalorians and a Jedi-killing Gungan bounty bunter. Hardly a competition.
Two things can be true that, The Force Unleashed is a classic game and is goated for what it is, but also that I would NOT play it in 2024. There was just as much if not more jank on release and throughout their lives, but you’re also the most brutal jedi of all time so we didnt care
Force Unleashed on ps2 is the Goat version it was crazy when I played the 360 next gen (at the time) version and it was way worse imo But It's kinda insane how many different versions of this game there are and they all have different features like the psp version letting you play out famous battles from the movie was so hype!!
I just finished the first one not too long ago probably a couple weeks ago and the second one man I'm playing through right now both of these games are god tier on the next gen looks so 🙀 😯 I honestly believe that these are the best Star Wars games hands down😂😂❤
Starkiller vs cal is actually a pretty reasonable match up, it’s only video game Starkiller who’s nuts, the comic one wasn’t like that - and that same comic Starkiller could be made canon without upsetting power balances Disney just have no balls
I think you would have a lot of fun playing star wars Jedi Academy, it has a great combat system that i completely dont understand but I think itll be fun.
Lets goooo he finally back, truly amazing game man, and star killer will always be canon also the wii and consoles and the playstation and the DS version and the phone version are all different
Andor seems to single-handedly hold the flame of my hope for Star Wars. If any show would go to Kashyyk and deal with the gritty enslavement of the wookies it would be Andor. Bad Batch had a few scenes of the Trandoshans burning down the forests but it was underwhelming
Zanny you aren't insane, when Force Unleashed was being developed they outsourced a bunch of shit for the various consoles. More or less gave everyone a script and a rough telling and then let them make a game so PC, console, and wii are all different versions, slightly different missions and content. If I'm not mistaken technically the wii version was the "most complete"
What version does zanny play on? I played through the game at least 5 times and 2 times with all collectibles. (Pc version) and none of those control bugs occurred to me. Edit: I just heard that he plays on Xbox. But do those appear more often there ?
