The FUNNIEST Smash Accident EVER 

The funniest part for me is the story behind maisters sora specifically. Dude has a secondary Sora, pulls it out sometimes and has NEVER taken even just one game with it. Finally takes his first tournament game with Sora EVER and they send the fucking confetti canons. It's the best moment ever.

My perception of this accident is that the guy in charge of the confetti just REALLY hated Steve and was overjoyed to see him lose at least one match Jokes aside, probably the funniest clip to come out of a smash tournament. Seeing all the pro players / community veterans reacting to it was hilarious

I have never laughed at a smash moment so hard in my life. Shoutout to Onin though, I think they’re handled it really well and are getting much more hate than they deserve.

More SSC confetti backstory below- That had me dying especially with the mango ssc confetti story line. I normally don't watch ultimate grand finals since I'm a melee fan but I like maister and wanted to see him finally win. Anyways I haven't finished the video yet but I don't think Coney paints the backstory. So I'll do it just in case. Mango who won super smash con in 2016 didn't get confetti, mango then wins in 2017 and doesn't get confetti. Then in 2018 mango is commentating (btw 2018 ssc armada vs m2k is one of the best sets of all time) armada wins and they set off confetti for armada. Mango on the mic goes "I didn't get confetti, where was my fing confetti last year when I won?!" Or something close to that. Fast forward to this year 2022. Mango again wins SSC.... No confetti. Mango in his winners speech even mentions how he didn't get confetti. So to watch them use mangos confetti for a single game win for maister was one of the funniest things ever.

Generally agree with Coney's takes, but the idea that the community would ban the character if everyone picked them up is hilarious to me, because he saw that it doesn't work twice already. Both with bayo and meta knight people would complain that now they spent so long learning the character or picking counterpicks against them that they'd refuse to go to tournaments where they weren't allowed, and those tournaments failed. If we're gonna do it, we gotta do it a least a bit earlier or make sure we do it on a large enough scale

I really don't understand the mentality of smash players around banning characters. I'm not really into Smash at all so I don't know much but it seems whenever a character starts winning anything, there's a ton of calls to ban them. It seems ridiculous. I agree with Coney that if the character is so good and breaking the game, pick the character up and start winning with them. If there's like 6 Steves in a top 8, maybe there would be a case to ban. Until then, it's like 1 or 2 players. Either learn how to beat them, pick up the character and show how broken they really are, or shut up.
