The Chinese are patient enough to wait for the day when our American friends rationally calm down, because the Chinese like to make a planning cycle of fifty years, and the American friends like to make a consideration of an election cycle of four years.

It is crucial that before we make the proper US-China policies we must fully and correctly understand China and it’s policies. With so many misunderstandings how we can bring the vital US-China relationships back to track. We need a thoughtful, rational and calm leader to keep the world safe. Ronald Reagan once said, “Peace is not the absence of conflict; it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.”

In the face of the genocide in Gaza on Palestinians population and humanitarian nightmare, it made talks on Xinjiang Uygers among thooe politicians uneasy, and brought shame to themselves. Even though this Jake guy may sound reasonable and practical towards China, yet what he talked about on this video is either political spinning rubbish, or under his own hypocrisy, he just tried to make US hypocritical and selfish foreign policy as triumphical as he would like to.

Why not be real friends instead of imaginary foe

There are three engines in China economy. Real Estate, exports and consumer expenses. I just came back from China and saw busy economic activities in China anywhere. Pretty normal, maybe only the real estate is slowing down. But after more than 20 years of booming in construction, it is pretty normal to slow down a little and it is heather to be this way. Infrastructures in China are much better than those in the US. Opposite compering with the US, China is experiencing some degree of deflation instead of high inflation in the US.

Didn't have time to go thru the whole seminar. The politicians might want to learn how American architects did so many skyscrapers in China even without local architectural registration, and how Builk made billions dollars of profits in China a year without paying a single dollar of tax by registering their entity in Virgin island.

It’s nice to hear level headed dialogue about this relationship. So much of the discourse is littered with hyperbole, rhetoric and disinformation in online spaces. It is clear that AI and other technologies have been levered to distort the reality of a mostly cooperative yet sometimes contentious competition

It's high time for general public in USA to re-learn China, although it's politicians and vocal elites who need the most. China is not a Soviet style communist country, nor an evil empire that you need feel threatened. Unlike Europeans, folks in USA didn't have similar experience of equal and peaceful exchanges with Chinese civilization, which benefited European civilization in many ways, such as silk making, porcelain making, paper and printing technologies, not to mention gun power and compass. China fought hard against Japanese invasion, lost 30m lives (20m according to US Congress Library) in total, only got back Taiwan and several small islands in South China Sea. China repatriated the last batch of 400,000 Japanese army and settlers,.mostly peaceful without any large scale of revenge and killing, nor holding them to laber in mines and fields. Chinese villages even raised thousands of Japanese orphans, and returned them to Japan as growups in 80s. When comparing China with any other large nation,, people would see immediately China as a nation and as people, are peaceful with great humanity and splendid civilization and history.

It’s immensely impressive to see the clarity of the speaker’s mindset and accompanied policy options. An enormous successful story career wise. One brutal reality of an uneven bilateral relationship is that the stronger side got it’s wanted most of the time, but the balance is undeniably shifting.

This countries should be very stable and open minded with no hegemony. In that way rest of the world will be prosperous ❤

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, looks to me, has a great balance of reasoning and feeling in an optimal way about what He is talking about and this increases his ability to persuade me as a great personality that measures objectively and evaluated all components of the subject He is analyzing.

Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult!!!

As for the world, the United States' approach is to profit on any opportunity. I quite like the song 'We Didn't Start the Fire.' Maybe it really didn't start the fire, but when there were just sparks and smoke, starting to fan the flames made no difference. Toppling democratic governments for interest has also been done. This contradicts the values it preaches. Therefore, for China, becoming an ally of the United States is no different from becoming a puppet state, as the U.S. does not even allow Europe to be autonomous. "Being America's enemy may be dangerous, but being america's friend is fatal." The process of freedom and democratization should be something that can be done after becoming one pole in a multipolar world, otherwise, it is just opening the door to invite thieves. When country been democratized before it can control its environment. On luckiest chance, it could experience the Southeast Asian financial crisis; if unlucky, it cloud experience the Arabic color revolutions.

For all the good talk and jokes, the questions remain: Is China today way more powerful than it was 3 years ago? And isn’t the US going in the opposite direction? And wouldn’t one bet the barn that China will be even more powerful in 3 years from now? LOL!!

I’ve listened to Jake Sullivan’s talk in this video as well at the WEF. Now, you have to combine that with his background and effectiveness. 1st- he was a very effective speaker at the WEF even if it was causing jaws drop because he was speaking at a position of power. By now, the other countries would have thought we would be on decline. 2nd-very diplomatic in speech but tough in body language. Evidence by his stance against this “New Order” stuff and the desire for them to prop up China. 3rd- he understands that the effort has always been to undermine the US with an unfavorable model in a multilateral world-which assumes the middle class are incapable of things-however when you dont employ and engage them then you are only going to be accustomed to the inflexibility of the old world order that is being rebranded as something new 4-he understands what America’s path is going to be decisive and we are definitely flexible and already capable. 5-Bilateral abroad but bipartisan domestically 6-there are many points that is implied in other area but I need to comment on a few and this is to recognize the importance of not what “Jake” is saying but the principles ..as my cat jumps on my iphone. gtg there are very strong fundamentals that are being employed and that is important for America to understand and it has to do with the new generation of resistance all across the world that wont be stopped by an old world order as old as 100 years people in this mold needs to be in the next administration no matter which side and establish fixed tools to hand it off to many future ones if anything by use of culture of a modern realistic American patriotism- because in the future our enemies will attack this aspect in order to undermine America’s structure

An intelligent, pragmatic, and open-minded individual who has earned respect from both sides. If China has compelled the US to invest heavily in high-tech and renewable energy, then China can be considered a friend. Not every Chinese believes the US is approaching termination, just as not every American subscribes to Francis Fukuyama’s projection that the American liberal democratic system represents the end point of history. Fair and controlled competition can enhance productivity on both sides. Without such competition, there’s a risk that the US might focus its efforts on non-productive or hypothetical issues, akin to metaphorically digging and then refilling a hole. This has happened in Afghanistan, Iraq, and not so long ago in Vietnam. With a respectable competitor watching, America cannot afford and, hopefully, will not continue to make irrational decisions. Maintain contact, eschew ideology, avoid smears from either side, converse like adults, and think like economists. Sullivan is the bridge to connect both sides.
