If they're smart, they better. If they're really smart, they'll put a Sonic ride in a different park than Epic Universe so they can say we have both Mario and Sonic in our Orlando parks but you have to visit different parks to experience them. If they're even smarter, they'll buy out Six Flags' DC rights so they can say the same but for Marvel and DC.

My idea for FNAF is simply a Fazbear's Pizza restaurant that closes every Halloween to be used as a scare maze during Horror Nights. As for Zelda, I think the biggest problem is choosing a location. It would feel incomplete if it was just Castle Town or Kokiri Forest, so you'd need to do multiple mini areas that are connected in some way. But you can't exactly build a Hyrule Field to connect them all, as that would feel very empty.

@gameplayxtreme3389 8 месяцев назад
@@myth1clynx49 My idea is a really small Hyrule Field-themed hub that connects to Kokiri Forest to the left, Castle Town in front, and Death Mountain to the right. Kokiri Forest would have a show at the Great Deku Tree and a Lost Woods maze walkthrough with some shops in the Kokiri houses, Castle Town would have simple funfair-like games (maybe they could replicate the arrow minigame by letting you throw balls at big rupees?), food stalls and Hyrule Castle serving as the queue and show building for a major darkride. Then Death Mountain would be a small indoor area with the Rock Roast restaurant and a coaster that goes in and out of the volcano (think a Universal Orlando-level version of Volcano: The Blast Coaster)

The identity of Zelda (which has been somewhat been overshadowed by the two most recent games) is the concept of puzzle-solving. The two most recent games deconstructed puzzle solving into creativity and exploration and capitalized on those two aspects in a divergent way. HOWEVER, Universal could use Zelda as an opportunity to create a truly new immersive concept with puzzle-solving. Think about the elements of an escape room for a whole land. Imagine having rides/elements of the land that cannot be accessed until you solve a puzzle/game. This has already been done with the Bowser Jr. minigame but could be expanded in a Zelda themed land. There really is a whole new sense of interactivity to be explored with the property.
@Piiiiiiiiit
@Piiiiiiiiit 8 месяцев назад
Ohhhh!!! That’s a super cool concept! Maybe there could be a mix of puzzle elements throughout the land and a big, bombastic “Flight of Passage” style ride that takes you around some of the franchise’s iconic locations, with their wonders and perils alike, to lean into that spirit of adventure and discovery that permeates through this franchise. a combination of these elements could really capture the feel and spirit of what the series is all about while providing an entirely new kind of interactive experience for guests in the form of puzzle solving

Honestly for universal had they stuck with their initial direction could’ve really run with this concept. The first universal park was centered around TV and Film, so when they were building Islands of Adventure they wanted to contrast it by being entirely centered around written literature. Comics, children’s books, ancient myths and legends, and popular novels. If you think about it from that perspective, imagine an alternate timeline where epic universe, matching the theme of the other two parks, was centered around interactive mediums storytelling, mainly videogames. That concept of building themeparks with varied lands all connected by their medium of storytelling was so so interesting to me, can’t help but be a bit disappointed they’re dropping it with this third addition.
@birdflox1337
@birdflox1337 8 месяцев назад
I'm praying every day for a Splatoon land, there's just so much you can do with it. A live hologram concert like they do at Nintendo Live events, water features and attractions since Epic Universe only seems to have one planned so far, rides that are little more thrilling since the franchise is geared more towards teens, interactive rhythm games... You could even use the powerup bands to introduce daily randomized Splatfests for the park that guests can compete in by completing challenges! The only thing I think is standing in the way of this happening is that Splatoon is extremely popular in Japan, but Nintendo just seems to really not like promoting it in America or Europe. While Japan gets constant merchandise and collaborations with big clothing brands, I have never once seen any Splatoon merchandise on the shelves here in Belgium. Hopefully by the time 4 comes out, they really push it to the masses. EDIT: I also believe that the only representation Asian culture has in the parks right now would be Kung Fu panda in Beijing, so to have Splatoon's aesthetic of urban Japan could be a really nice addition in that sense.

I think Kirby could work in an expansion of Mario if they wanted as it’s similar art style. But see Luigi’s mansion as an easy popular ride to add. Do it like Monsters Inc in Japan with the flashlight gimic. Zelda is inevitable I think. It’s one of their biggest franchises and if they do movies for it it will be even bigger outside the games then too. After a lot of others won’t support a full land but imagine them adding themed lands that fit multiple games. For instance a general space themed la d that has Metroid (Transformers style), Star Fox (simulator/interactive shooter), and F-Zero (coaster)

But you know what franchise Sega owns that is perfect for a theme park? Angry Birds. My guess is that if Universal or Six Flags (over Cedar Fair) signs a deal with Sega, I definitely see both Sonic and Angry Birds being added at the same time. As for Persona, I see it has having mascot costumes. Jack Frost and Morgana are important but the MUST also have a Teddie costume. It's so obvious it hurts.

Surprised you never mentioned Donkey Kong coming to both Japan and Orlando soon, that's the next Nintendo property in the forseeable future. The original concept for Super Nintendo World that was supposed to replace KidZone had lots of properties, such as Mario, DK, Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, and even Luigi's Mansion. Given Mario and DK have already been realized, with Pokémon and Zelda rumored to be on the way, there is already plenty of framework for future Nintendo projects. My personal pipe dream is Cuphead at Toon Lagoon, but I know that's never happening.
@Azureblue25
@Azureblue25 8 месяцев назад
With this original concept for Super Nintendo World in Universal in mind, I bet you can safely predict what movies are going to come out from Nintendo & Illumination or possibly Nintendo & Dreamworks in the future, we already got Mario and with a sequel planned, a Donkey Kong spin-off movie has been in talks for already being in production, the same case for a Legend of Zelda movie which could spawn sequels like the Mario movie, then that leads to us getting a new Pokémon movie which will be among the many Pokémon movies that already exist lol, a Luigi’s Mansion spin-off movie and lastly a Kirby movie in the future, especially since Universal tend to only have attractions if there’s going to be a movie based on them. Outside of Nintendo IP’s I could see Sonic, Minecraft and Five Nights at Freddy’s being included as well in other sections of the park, with Sonics popularity and the success of his movies I could totally see this happening, Five Nights at Freddy’s is pretty popular as well and the movie did pretty well and sequels are planned so I could see this happening as well, and for Minecraft, it’s one of the highest selling games of all time, it’s extra popular, plus there’s actually a movie in production for it currently, so all of these Non-Nintendo franchises probably have the highest chances of appearing at Universal out of all the other Non-Nintendo franchises. As for Disney World I could totally see them including Kingdom Hearts and we’ll also get to see characters from Final Fantasy 7 as well but in their KH designs obviously, Disney and Square Enix have talked about making a Kingdom Hearts movie in the past so it’s totally possible.

My idea for a Sonic themed land for Universal Studios could go like this guest would enter the land in a gold ring finding themselves in Green Hill Zone as they are Greeted by Sonic Tails Amy Shadow Sliver and Kunckles the land would feature 2 different rides. The First one would feature a water ride Great for the hot summer heat. The ride Would feature guest helping Sonic and Tails as Eggman has sent his Robot army to steal the Chaos Emerald to use it for his project. As guest enter the ride there would be a pre- show They would find themselves inside of tails lab Who is showing off his latest invention Until Sonic comes in eating his chili dog as tails goes on about his invention. Suddenly they would be interrupted by Eggman himself who Has planned an invasion to sent his Robots to steal the Chaos Emeralds before the pre show ends Tails and Sonic tell the guest they'll meet them outside of the lab once they are on board there vehicle. As guest enter the loading area they would Climb aboard on Tails's Latest Vehicle invention The Battle Raft. The Battle Raft is an Inflatable boat vehicle was created of course again by Tails the vehicle would be feature his yellow and White color scheme and on the side of the raft It would have 6 custom blaster turrets to shoot at one of Eggmans Robot's Egg pawns Moto bugs crab meat egg hammers etc. And just imagine this water ride Would also feature Animatronics of Sonic Tails and Eggman. The Second ride would be based Of Team Sonic Racing This ride would use the same ride system like Test Track and Radiator Springs Racers. And of Course the rest of the land What feature restaurants and gift shops and meet and great areas We're guest could meet their favorite sonic characters. And speaking of gift shops. One of them would feature build you're own Chao Wisp and Koco it would be very similar to the Droid Depot at Galaxy's Edge And I think it would be very popular Considering the Sonic Fans are still talking about They want to see the Chao Garden to come back even though It was mentioned in Sonic Frontiers. I think people overlook how much of a merch juggernaut the IP is, maybe it won’t get its own land, but I can EASILY see a Kirby Cafe like the one in Japan being built for a park restaurant and one or two attractions (An Air Ride one would be SO good)

For LOZ, it's an elf boy running around not Middle Earth to get some magical Doritos from a pig warlock. I didn't know anything about Harry Potter, but the land taught me everything in real time and it's top 3 favorite themed lands anywhere for me. As long as the land organically teaches you the rules, it'll work just fine. The land will make you want to buy a game/read the books/get some figures/learn about the franchise for real

Here's a pitch for a Universal attraction that could incorporate most of Nintendo's popular franchises in a fitting way... It's an Omnimover dark ride called "Worlds of Nintendo", and is about riders taking a detailed and humorous "tour" through most of the worlds of the Nintendo IPs. This attraction will rely on immersive physical sets and intricate animatronics. For instance, in the Super Mario scene, there could be a mini-scene where a frightened Luigi is trying to feed an angry Chain Chomp.

Monster Hunter has historically had collabs with Universal Studios Japan with the release of some games. Going to the parks gave players exclusive in game items, and they've also had multiple seasonal temporary attractions. Monster Hunter the Real in 2017. A VR walk for Iceborne's release in 2020, which they're bringing back this year for MH's 20th year anniversary. I don't think something like MH would have mass appeal in the US, but I dream of them having a fully themed MH area in USJ someday. ;-;

I don't mind if Kirby doesn't get a ride, but It'd be awesome if they put an Americanized Kirby Cafe in there as a restaurant that could also double as a giftshop. Although now that I'm thinking about it, Kirby could have a cool fast ride based on riding his warp star.

I think FNAF will overtake Springfield in Orlando since you don't need alot of land for it, it would bring popularity to the main park, you could have a horror dark ride, you could have a real life pizzaria, and the hardest part of this is just expanding the current Simpsons Ride to fit a dark ride
@qwertyuiopyt5877

And it could go to Hollywood but that's alot more landlocked and the current ride has no room to expand so they would have to work around that

Honestly the idea of Mario at Epic Universe, Zelda at Islands of adventure, and Pokemon at Florida make sense. That way Nintendo fans have to be spread out against all 3 parks in the resort to get everything but, could also be potentially satisfied with either one. These are all byfar the most popular Nintendo Ips and all offer great options for theming and items. I expect we wont be getting any other Nintendo lands but they will be easter eggs referencing other properties, such as the hidden Pikmin that appear in Super Nintendo world. Kirby Cafe exists in Japan so maybe they would open a location in The Resort somewhere. They unfortunately for fans of those ips wouldn’t be much more than that though

Also the Last of Us did get a TV show, so its possible that The Last of Us can hedge any clause due to both a pre-existing relationship with Sony, which Nintendo is okay with, but that it has a TV show or see it only worthy as a temporary attraction. If they got the movie rights to any other properties, that might spark trouble

16:30 "could make an argument for a bethesda game but they arent mainstream enough." well cut to 5 months later, the fallout show is pretty huge! a bethesda land would be so sick lol with rides for a bunch of their games. video game rides do sound so cool, similar to harry potter, spider-man, transformers, etc. and their ride systems. it just sucks that more adult themed rides or even just horror rides just cant really happen due to a large dependence on being kid friendly. its a shame. a park or land solely dedicated to video game or horror rides would be so insanely cool

Kirby would make for an awesome Diner experience, Pokémon is a grab bag of hot possibilities though Snap or some Dark Ride with Det Pikachu would be fun. Having an area dedicated to Space would be excellent, maybe a star ship port that could lead to different experiences. A Dark ride with Halo , surviving a space battle with either Star Fox or Samus or an adventure thru a starship grave yard trying to avoid pirates. Finally a couple rides themed after Sonic be it a rollercoaster , magnet ride , or even a walk thru experience. Fingers crossed 🤞

>Talks about Crash in the Sony section Who's gonna tell him? But yeah, some interesting ideas here. Pokemon and Zelda are definitely safe bets for the future. Sonic and Halo would be personal dream picks for me, and I feel like both are still big brand names and would do really well in a theme park, especially with how passionate their fanbases are. Sonic games have very rollarcoaster-like level design, so that'd be a no brainer (I mean hell, Sonic had a rollarcoaster at Alton Towers for a few years). As for Halo, a ride where you man the gun on the back of a Warthog and get to mow down Covenant and maybe even Flood would be amazing if done right. If they can't do that, I'd easily take a house at Halloween Horror Nights where you're trying to escape from a Flood infestation or something. Maybe it starts with just trying to escape a Covenant invasion, where you see towering Elites and Hunters killing civilians, but then you see some of their victims get back up, and realize the situation has gone from bad, to much, much worse...

With universal starting to bring in japanese properties to the US parks, I hope they'll start talks to bring some animes over. With how popular anime has become recently, I can see it bringing in a huge influx of people. As well as how unique some of the settings anime have, avoiding the problem that bringing zelda over has. I think the best anime would be One Piece due to the Netflix series making it more well know to the gereral public, but i can see Naruto and DragonBall doing well too.

I know a Pokemon land will be very popular, but I would love it if they made one for Animal Crossing, meeting different Villagers, visiting Blathers's museum, listening to K.K. Slider, and maybe even watching animatronic Gyroids dancing. You know what else I personally want, though? Something themed after Fossil Fighters and Mother. They may not be the cash cows that Pokemon and Mario are, but they have their fair share of fans, myself included, and I'd pay good money for toys of my favorite Vivosaurs or maybe Ness, Lucas and all their friends.

I don’t know I think Kirby could work. Kirby has been on the rise since Return to Dreamland on reaching that level of popularity outside of its games and just as a notable IP that people know due to it’s easy to play hard to master style. It also had an animated series back in the day, I think if there’s any one to keep an eye on it’s definitely Kirby.

An Earthbound inspired darkride could be fun. It's highly unlikely but it would be cute and cool, especially if they treat it with the same thought as the ET darkride; plus it could feature some characters in that style as a fun homage to the old school Universal Studios Florida attractions like Kongfrontation, Jaws, Ghostbusters Ghoultacular, Back to the Future, etc Tbh, if we're talking about works and worlds of pop culture literature represented at Islands of Adventure (which includes sunday comic strips and cartoons, comic books like Marvel, childen's fiction with Dr. Seuss, science fiction with the Jurassic Park/World rides, fantasy fiction with King Kong, Harry Potter and the remains of Lost Contentent), video games would be the next logical step; and the Legend of Zelda franchise would fit the bill. Conversely so would Xenoblade, but Hyrule has lots of locations that could easily replace lost contentent and blend with the other lands. If Universeal was ever planning on doing a Pokemon dark ride, I could easily see them doing one themed to Pokemon Snap. Especially if they swap/randomize locales/biomes like beaches or jungles; or fictional countries like Unova or Alola; or seasonal events, like Halloween or the holidays. Plus any snapshots could be saved to your phone or Universal photo service , and then at the end of the ride, either could be printed out at the Pokemon Photo center with stickers or at home on your printer.

TBH, if they did start talking to Microsoft about Minecraft and Halo, I could see them also giving a bit of Crash Bandicoot representation as they own him thanks to the Activision purchase. I have this mental image of someone in a Crash Bandicoot costume stirring up some mishaps in Super Nintendo World, before having security "dragging" him back to his ride. Thinking more roller-coaster than a dark ride, TBH.

Now, despite Scott Pilgrim being kind of an disadvantage due to popularity reasons, i truly believe that a scott Pilgrim atttaction just makes so much sense to me. -Universal owns part of the franchise such as the movie, the game and takes off and has a good relation between Oni press and bryan lee O'Malley. 2. The attraction could be located between Marvel superheroe island and Topn lagoon using the space for the amphitheater and maling a good transition between the 2 lands due to the franchises's inspiration between western comics, manga and the stylized draw style and comedy of the comic. -the anime elevated a Little bit thw franchise in terms of popularity. -the artistic direction of both the movie and anime can lead to an interesting visual spectacle in the form of an attraction.

There are countless video game properties that would make great lands/attractions, but let's be realistic: For the foreseeable future Universal is just sticking with Nintendo properties. Not only is Universal making their movies, but literally no other hot game property right now has the family friendly appeal and generational pull that Nintendo has. Other games from Sony, Microsoft, and other companies have plenty of "Game of the Week" properties, but very few have the staying power of Mario, Zelda, or Pokemon. The only way other video game IP are coming to the parks is if they find HUGE success outside of their games, and basically no one besides Nintendo (and Sonic) have managed that yet with films.
