I have the H9 and agree with almost everything here. Im Head of Department TV/AV since years and I"ve had the XM4'S and the Pulse 3D Headset for 2 years now. I also borrowed the XM5's from work to do a full review but it wasnt worth the Upgrade so I stick to my XM4's. My little brother got my Pulse 3D now. The H9 and The XM5 are really close, but when streaming music over my Xperia 1 IV with LDAC on TIDAL HIFI/MASTER Quality, the XM4's blow the H9 and Pulse 3D away. Same with the XM5's. However the H9 takes full advantage of the PS5's tempest 3D engine and delivers a more accurate, and precise experience with crisper and more detailed sound quality.

Thank you!!! I was trying to find a video where I could actually hear the headphones and test ANC. I think you should more gaming headphone reviews and tests also comparisons to other gaming headsets and normal headphones

I got one, I do recommend it, on my experience, sounds really good with Gran Turismo 7 and Final Fantasy XVI. I personally did a mod, I have placed a thing layer cloth material between the ear pads and the drivers, it reduces the ear piercing tremble and improves the bass response a bit. Overall, very good headset. Edit, I have a request, could you test the Audeze Maxwell? Happy 2024.

Thank you so much for this review. ANC gaming headphones have been a rarity up until this past year, and I haven’t found a pair that fits my needs. This one looks like it might. I also think the upcoming sennheiser momentum 4’s might be great for ANC gaming as well if Aptx adaptive latency is low enough. What do you think?

hey, awesome review and love the captions as someone partially deaf. Just a few questions, how loud is it normally compared to the WH-1000MX would you say?. Also have you got it working with pc/ps5 at the same time, i have a dual monitor setup and having that would be so convenient

Well, eleven months later, I hope I can help. PS5 user. Before getting the H9 I was using the Pulse 3D, and very often almost maxed out on volume. With H9 I’m using it around 70% volume.

@@jonathang8750 the mic is decent. Above average. The sound quality and comfort are the mains sellers of the H9/H7. Pretty good for games overall, and also capable of giving you enemy positions in n Warzone if you are into it.

If money is no objection, and use case is 75% gaming, 25% entertainment. Would you go more with XM5 or H9 ? That's the comparison that no one seems to want to make.

For Gaming H9 for everything else 100 percent XM5. H9 is engineered specifically for the ps5 tempest 3D audio engine and XM5 is engineered for everything else.

Yes. Gaming wise, I'd say the H9 is the way to go, especially if money isn't an option. I just bought these and can't wait to test them out on God of War Ragnarok.

@shadowblazinx they are amazing. The sound quality is top-notch. Playing Ragnarok with these is just a joy. The battery life is insane. The comfort is wonderful and I'm a glasses user. If you're on the fence, come on over to this side. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Thanks, this shall have an application just like other Sony headrest for ajustements. The Sony 3D Pulse much cheaper and have the ability to adjust more features in the PS5 than the H9. That make no sense at all.
