Both my dad and my husband are there helping out with the troops. They drive charter buses and had to travel to washington to help the troops get around the streets safely and they were so mad when they seen troops having to sleep in parking garages and offered for them to at least sleep on the buses where its warm. The majority of troops are staying at hotels in surrounding areas.

I'm a veteran and that is NOT what they're trained for..I was active duty for 7 years..unfortunately the National Guard doesn't take care of they're soldiers..those types of policies on how to do EVERYTHING in the military is online..anyone could look up the rules and regulations for housing service members even if it's hasty..
I’m disgusted our troops were treated this way. We love our military here. I guarantee you that if they needed hotels someone in the area would’ve steeped up to help. Hell I’d donate myself to help and so would a lot of people I know. This is fucked up.
It was reported that Donald Trump gave permission for them to stay at his DC hotel, if needed. I think you are right and people people stepped up once word got out but it’s disgusting that they were initially treated in this ungrateful manner.
If it weren’t for Drumpf they wouldn’t be there. My son is in the military and if this is the toughest thing they go through in their career, life is good. That said, they actually acknowledged it was an issue and did something about it. So chill.

Oh my gosh. TMI but : When I was 6 or so I didn't poo for nearly a week in transit to visit my family in Russia. 3 flights nearing 30 hours total plus layovers, 2 or so nights at a distant relatives and a overnight train. I was so nervous to use a public bathroom for that one aside those in close family homes. By the time I was calm enough to sit on the throne in my grandparents home I was so backed up I couldn't do it for another 2 days. It was a nightmare and I've never been afraid to go I'm front of a partner since.

My college roommate went to summer camp in 5h grade and didn’t poop for THREE WEEKS but eventually the nurse made them drink cooling oil and that worked.. he was from Canada, Hamilton And I have no idea why I didn’t know about the poop story probably because the same thing was happening when he first moved here and I was just like you have to poop or your eyeballs will pop out when you sneeze!
I agree with you 100%. Soldiers sleeping in a parking garage when they could have given them alternate accommodations. Like you said they're not in a third word country or at war. They could have been treated better. Didn't sit right with me at all.

When I was about 5 I slipped and fell into an empty hot tub with about 6 inches of rainwater in the bottom on Christmas. My grandpa filmed the whole thing and my mom is still pissy about it. It’s been 28 years and he’s dead but she still gets irritated by the memory. Good thing it was the 90’s or he would have put it on RU-vid and my mother would have gone to jail for assault 😂

Training in Australia = working out. That threw me off when I first started watching Australian TV too. They also call tennis shoes trainers, so when one guy said to another "grab your trainers and meet me outside" I was super confused to see him showing up alone 🤣 Also, vanessa is rich and famous in her own right. She is (or at least used to be) a successful model, and she was on Love Island Australia.
