I was about to say the same thing he's been through alot and actually does work really hard for what he has as well, he only started RU-vid to help him with his depression he was feeling at that point in his life years ago and mostly all of his money made from RU-vid he gives back either to charity's or to other families that live around him that are less fortunate than he is. The major money he makes comes from his Smile More business that him and his wife started from the ground up... These are not the typical family vloggers and would never exploit their babies for views or money, they genuinely just want to spread positivity to the world. It's other "family vloggers" that gives the good ones like him and Brittney a bad name... I pray they are doing ok and that he is coping with this along with the loss of his mother as that still eats him up to this day because of the suddenness of it all with how quickly she went. Sorry for the long comment but I was happy to see someone else actually know Roman for what he really is and not what he is being made out to be!!

Yeah I agree with you, my son used to watch his videos and he’s always come across as normal (as normal as an American can be anyway 🤪) I have no issue with this guy because he really doesn’t blast his kids private lives at all, they definitely got truly frightened by these crazy stalkers , why else would they stop making content when it’s their main income?!

I'm a huge fan of Roman and his family so I am in now way blaming them for what happened it is sick people who made the decision to do this to them who are to blame. However, what I am saying is that Roman and his family are very popular, he has his channels, his store and even a movie. If this can happen to them as family vloggers it can happen to any channel that does family vlogging.

Don’t judge if you haven’t seen the video or know what he is about . He took a year off , plus it wasn’t just RU-vid they took over all his electronics because of wifi , it wasn’t just one person it’s was a whole network who was stalking every detail of his family

I totally agree Heather.... we have watched Roman in this house for over 10 years now.......Roman doesn’t just have RU-vid as his only business..... I know he still helps his father with Their family rope (they make rope) business.... Roman and Brit don’t need money, they are very wealthy and invest wisely..... he’s talked about it many times (not being wealthy but financial planning)...... Also.... NO ONE has done more for people than Roman.... to everything from giving to various charities, to giving his actual time and spending the day with a terminally ill child (for The make a wish foundation) to actually buying people in need houses....no joke...no one gives back more than this guy....many of his make a wish kids he brings them gifts, big gifts out of his own pocket... Roman is the king of positivity, he genuinely LOVES making videos .... They DID take an entire YEAR off.... an entire year..... they totally stayed off of all social media platforms........ at the time I figured it was some sort of lawsuit...or maybe pandemic related? And like everyone else, I no idea what really happened, obviously. Roman Atwood is the real deal..... he isn’t fake like other family vloggers..... I can truly say, he doesn’t do it for the money..... he doesn’t need more money... that’s obvious just by the way and also the amount he gives to charity.... When my youngest, he’s 18 now, was little.... Roman was one of the few you tubers I allowed him to watch. I LOVE the Atwood’s and their pure, positive message. Roman is not a typical family vlogger. His fan base is from his prank videos, movie, tours and positive messages. He has helped so many young people and granted many Make a Wish wishes. He has done most of his larger projects without including his family. His fans have been demanding an explanation of why they left all social media and that is what this video is and I don't think they are milking the situation, just giving a brief explanation.

You truly don't understand or care to understand this family vs the other typical family vloggers you really should do more research before saying they are milking it or exaggerating things... He doesn't want to disappear from RU-vid because he actually does care about his fans that he has helped through the years that look forward to his videos each day to lift their spirits up, he uses the money he does make off of RU-vid to give right back through charities or to the families in their communities that are less fortunate than they are and the money he lives off of is from the business that him and his wife built from the ground up all whilst dealing with the sudden loss of his mother from cancer... You won't find a more humble, loving, genuine family... This is one video that is being judged way to quickly especially without even knowing them or even bothering to research them more than just a few video titles!!!

If my family was in danger I would 💯 move on from RU-vid. My number one priority is my family. RU-vid is second. My income can be replaced, my family cannot. @@alisonrenee6465 I agree with you on that aspect but where we disagree is when you said he is milking the situation and exaggerating it when if you researched the family you would see neither of them has a reason or ever would nor ever has used their platform strictly to make money or bring drama into their lives that is why they had no problem stepping away from the platform as they have done before simply because they wanted more personal moments together with just family but they come back every once in awhile to catch their fans up and let everyone know they are ok still and then they go back to their private lives... What I'm saying is they have actually backed way off of RU-vid and have their income solely on their business that they built together so they have no need to milk anything from anyone Roman simply respects his fans and likes to atleast check in and keep everyone up to date because he is grateful for them helping him through some very hard times in his life when he didn't have anyone to turn to before he had his family. That is why I disagreed with you and explained what they are actually about because of you suggesting they are milking this traumatic experience and exaggerating it, I was just trying to get you to understand them a bit better so you would know they are not like the other vlog families that would most definitely milk a situation like this for the drama, views & money. Police presence is is not a private bodyguard force and not going to continue once the investigation wraps up and a suspect is in custody. And he said nothing about what they're doing to maintain a higher level of security on their own to prevent this happening again. Especially now that they've drawn even more attention to themselves.
