How lonely it must be to be 16 and have absolutely no physical friends that she can reach out to and talk to. My youngest is 17 and her close friends are her world.

I absolutely loved Family Fizz a few years ago. But after they started getting popular they completely changed. Im so disappointed but not surprised

I think it is time governments have to step up and introduce laws to stop parents exploiting their kids on social media. Enough is enough who else can protect these children? This is abuse NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

If you are 5yrs old a your mom tells you, your dad doesn’t love you, even just that will negatively affect you, through your whole life. Now imagine if your mon repeats the same sentence until you are a teenager? Let that settle in. Just imagine how that can affect someone. They are basically setting you up to straight failure.

This actually could be tax-related. Here in the UK apparently you can avoid paying certain income taxes if you spend no more than 30 days per year on the UK soil. That was one of the main reasons Queen (the band) was rarely ever seen in the UK, and recorded their albums in studios in Germany, Switzerland and the US instead.

I actually found some of their vlogs emotionally abusive towards Sienna. I didn't find it funny at all that they were trying to convince Sienna that they weren't related or whatever it was or Mia was leaving. Can't remember exactly what it was about. The poor girl was getting really distressed over it! I thought this is just sick doing this to a kid and filming it!

That family had been allowing Mia to dress in appropriately since she was 12. They have made videos getting Mia to dress and act like she's 21 to see if she can pull it off in public. This was when she was like 13. Just disgusting.

Thanks for covering this family. I watched them back in the day when they were more level-headed and mostly talked about veganism and fitness. I think they were living in Spain and the girls were enrolled in an actual school there. Things got weird fast.

Siena loves going to school, used to say in Spain she doesn't like homeschooling because she likes friend but because the travel so much the convinced her to say homeschooling is better, it can be if you stay more than 3 months somewhere...

They move like every month. They started out small saying they don't need much then move to bigger and bigger houses. They obviously rent or air BnB but they'll redecorate the kids rooms buying all kind of things then move and do it all over again, leaving everything behind.

I have been waiting for so long for someone to talk openly about this family so thank you. The children are all over the internet and all over the world yet are completely isolated - its so wrong.

For her last birthday, Sienna got a telescope from her grandparents, which she was thrilled about. When they moved, she had to leave it behind, which was heart-breaking as she is really into science and learning in general. Her writing and spelling seem to be way below what they should be for a child of her age. She would thrive in a school setting, I think.

I always felt sad because all their different room decors. They’d surprise the kids with new room make overs then they’d move and get a new room. Kind of sad

The INGHAM FAMILY are no different. Isabelle had a great relationship with her dad and his family before they started RU-vid now she doesn't see him and Sarah did a video painting her eye with eyeshadow to suggest isabelles dad gave her a black eye.

It’s very telling that family vloggers that are the biggest have DAUGHTERS. You don’t see a lot of them who hit the jackpot with sons. Right? Just that should scream out to them to stop. I have 4 boys and 1 girl. My daughter is 13 and I can’t even take family photos of her to give to grandparents! I cannot imagine splashing her all over the internet 🤮

I’m worried about how Mia will cope if / when she eventually leaves them. She has no education, no friends - and it’s not like she can make friends at work because she will work from home. Also, Darren gives me bad vibes. I can’t explain why, but something about him just seems... off :/

Georgies sister also has a RU-vid channel (no kids though - just dogs) and she done a video a while back that was pretty interesting. She said she no longer sees most of her family because she left the religion and as a result of that her family are no longer allowed to speak to her. So by that definition I would say Georgie would be in the same boat. I know the sisters do talk and have done one or two videos together but don’t appear to be particularly close. Travelling as much as they do goes against they while vegan thing too. Also there was an interview where Darren was a guest for a podcast when they were living in Dubai and he basically said they had staff to look after the children. It’s never mentioned in any of the vlogs but I wouldn’t be surprised. Overall I find this family to be very, very fake. I know most family vloggers are to some extent as they only show the best bits of themselves, but something is way off with the fizz family. Its all staged and fake and click bait. They don’t show any ‘real’ content. Darren in particular is creepy - something about him really annoys me.

Josh.... this is your best video yet. As a regular human who just consumes RU-vid for pleasure, I have never and would never think of the things that you point out. You are changing lives and views, for us all, who have no idea the behind the scenes of their ‘influencer lives’. As a retired special education teacher, and a current SAHM, my life is my sons life. I do everything for him all day all night... it’s hard when we consume so much social media and naturally we start questioning if we are good enough, why we don’t look as good as them, etc etc and I can’t tell you how much you have helped me the last few weeks. The game of comparison is so vile and you have SINGLEHANDEDLY relaxed me and made me realize that I am not inferior to these moms but I am in fact far superior. Thank you so much, I mean it from the depths of my heart.

I am so glad you are addressing them. I randomly watched them years ago before they started pushing out kids for the money. I was so bothered how their youngest at the time who was 5/6 would just go all day with food all over her face. You are recording and putting this online, how do you not notice. Later on I also stated to wonder if they were taking care of her dental hygiene. Also, the lack of schooling was upsetting amongst many other things. Something always seemed so off with the parents. I don’t even want to know how much worse things have gotten. It’s just sick to think about how much Damage they are doing to their children.

Mia also said that she won't do GCSEs (compulsory exams taken at age 16) because she "doesn't need them". I'm convinced the parents indoctrinated her into thinking this because they know that if she does GCSEs she will want to go onto further education and their views will drop. I feel like Mia did not come to this huge decision alone.

They started as a fitness and clean eating channel. When I first started watching they lived in Spain having just relocated long term and they were really interesting adapting to new culture, learning Spanish and lived in a very small 2 bedroom flat with very minimal things. As the views increased, money increased, the more alienate I became from the original style of channel. There are many questions I have about their lifestyle and portrayal of current life choices. It was the first time I really have started to question analytics and the drive it has on creators to create less from their heart and more with their head.

Just wanted to add as a home educater of 3 children, none of my children are "awkward " they attend home ed groups when we are not in "covid panic " They are part of a climbing club, a forest school They are incredibly intelligent and outgoing, they are more well-rounded then my older daughter who went through the school system

I used to watch Georgie and Darren years and years ago when they were a fitness channel. Georgie used to do body competitions and I found them interesting. They never included their kids and only had a couple of thousand subs. All of a sudden they changed to a family vlogging channel and blew up from there. They realised what was going to bring the money in. So disgusting. I’ve been waiting for you to start on them as they are very controversial.

I believe that’s one of the reasons why these families have lots of children- there is always one other to take the lead once the teen is null and void

Thank you for opening my eyes. I did birth Vlogs, family Vlogs, the whole works. I saw Jesssfam, kkbabyj, okbaby, britneyandbaby and thought “Wow, I love that. Including my kids in my work and documentation of their lives would be amazing!” My well intentions may have been great but other people AREN’T well intentioned! People will use your family, your innocent babies for such harsh self gratification. Don’t allow it!!! My eyes were opened months ago and I didn’t know how to turn around. Here I am turning around and starting over! You’re doing Gods work saving these babies!!!

I woulda LOVE an update video on this family, I think they’ve finally sent the younger two to school but I still don’t think Sienna has any proper education and Mia defo doesn’t. Also the fact they came back to living in the UK as soon as Mia turned 18 is very very telling of what they was moving all around the world for.

I’ve been waiting for someone to call them out. I was a HUGE fan of Vegan Fitness TV. It was actually one of the best vegan channels - well researched, beautifully made, and it focused on vegan diet and fitness! It was quality content with no real equal as far as I was concerned. And then several things happened in quick succession and I don’t remember the exact order, and I didn’t put them together at the time, but... - They were given a very prestigious award/recognition for their channel and got a course/boot camp at RU-vid’s London HQ. - They moved from their house in a smaller city to a very nice flat in London. - They made a video of Mia spending time with bio-dad and his family on a summer weekend. - They announced they were moving to Spain and saying good bye to the UK. - They announced they were changing their channel format to a family vlog, because THAT WAS DARREN’s ORIGINAL INTENTION - They removed ALL of their original Vegan Fitness TV content. The early family vlog stuff was sweet. Siena was the cutest kid, and it didn’t seem exploitative. But something didn’t feel right - why change (and abandon!) a format that was quality and working for you? Why move so quickly? They were in the London flat for less than 3 months, I believe. The content in relation to the bio-dad was very neutral-to-positive. Georgie said clearly that she didn’t want more kids. They went to Spain as if it was forever, and then came back to the UK and then announced they were going to have another baby. At that point I lost total interest, and when I realized they had deleted their earlier videos, I got pretty mad and wrote them off completely. Like I said, I’ve been watching for someone to take them down. The content about Mia getting her period was the last straw for me; I didn’t realize how much worse it had gotten. Makes me sad. They had something great and they threw it away to make something trashy and exploitative.

Absolutely true! My mother did this to my sister and I when we were about 10-11. She told us terrible lies about our father and blackmailed us out of seeing him on his allocated weekends. Eventually he saved us from all of the madness but it’s scary as hell to think how influential a child is and how damaging this behaviour can be/is.

It scares me that if / when Mia leaves the next child while be prime age for exploitation.

Also the fake baby bump for the daughter videos are sooo weird!! Like she was probably 13 in those, I don't remember when it was.

I wonder how Brexit is impacting their “lifestyle”.... are they just switching countries every 3 months when their visitor visa expires? Once they return to the UK it will be more complicated to travel than it was pre-Brexit.

Inghams are the same- struggling with COVID rules in UK and their kids each do a crap section for the daily vlog- home schooled due to “bullying” not surprised as 15yr old thinks she’s “it” but plays with her young sisters as no friends just like Mia.

I looked up her channel and it was a question and answer and she was asked about her bio dad and said she hasn’t seen him since she was five. Someone asked her did she have another sister and brother and she said definitely not. It must really hurt her father.

Based on the places you listed that they “lived” I’d venture a guess that they are still addicts and based on their behavior, it seems like they are still seeking instant gratification- which is one of the top behaviors of addicts/addiction.

Yep, this was an icky one to watch for sure. Necessary for awareness and making sure these kids don’t become forgotten, so I watch for several reasons. These videos also remind me to have certain conversations with my own kids more often, so I thank you. As a divorced parent, a mom, shit, just as a human with a moral compass, this video made my skin crawl. I’m so glad that they are now on your radar! By the way, you’re not alone in feeling like something is up (other than the obvious) with stepdad. My cringe/creeper meter was going off like crazy and it was more than ex-car sales man vibes (no shade meant to car sales persons 😬). There is something in his eyes. I've been going through your channel lately. And thank God I stumbled across your channel. A few years ago I was really into family vloggers cause I was dump and never questioned what they did. But now that I'm a little older I feel so guilty for supporting them in the past. Like the poor kids. It's so gross knowing that so many kids are being abused and treated like shit of cameras. But it's even more gross that there are so many kids being treated badly on the internet, right in front of our eyes and we're often just ignoring it

My nurse came in with pain meds and got caught up in your podcast, so I had to tell her all about it 🙂! She didn’t want to leave my room, but I made sure to give her all the info to both channels. I’m even more repulsed in this situation that her step dad is doing the editing, and putting such provocative pics and content of his 14 yr old step daughter, and her mother just stands around and lets it happen. All that kid knows is that she likes the perks that comes with what she does. What are any of these kids really learning, most don’t go to reg school, and I question the devotion the parents have to their homeschooling plan? What happens when they get older and life kicks them in the butt and they realize that most normal people actually have to go out into the world and work, not just make content for views. Who is preparing these kids for when the likes stop coming because that day will come, they will be replaced by the new “it” influencer, and their parents never bothered to prepare them because they were too busy using them for content to get cash.

I don't know if in the UK or wherever they are now this applies but in Spain I think this could be considered as kidnapping, I mean, taking away a child from a parent who has custody, sounds like kidnapping to me

Sorry I live in Mexico. And the state where they lived in is one of the safest states in the country and there a lot of US people there because it has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world plus pyramids. It’s a tourist spot.

I’m gonna tell you why they don’t come back to the UK: because kids not being in education is a criminal offense and they’d get sued to hell ***edit: it is compulsory in the UK to have children aged 5 to 16 to attend a school (on or off site) that follows the national curriculum imposed by the department of education, where they can be evaluated regularly. Failing to enrol or show evidence of a child’s attendance to a DoEd approved program IS illegal and parents can face prosecution leading to a fine of £2500 and a jail sentence of up to 3 months. Just putting this here to make my comment CRYSTAL CLEAR.

I am glad you’re talking about this family. Years ago I followed them for their vegan content because I was changing to a vegan diet. But as soon as they shifted to family fix I could see how weird and wrong these videos were and unfollowed. So wrong

I just recently came across your channel and can say I’m addicted and I’m watching all of your videos.. but I did want to say this. I am a preschool teacher and mandated reporter in the US as well as have a child development degree. and sadly (at least in my training) exploitation of children is not discussed or mandated.. it’s disgusting and they should honestly make it a form of child abuse because it is eventually gonna harm children if it hasn’t already..

You didn't mention that Mia lived with other family members until she was 5(I think). I don't think it's just parent alienation but I also think she's been turned against those who looked after her while Georgie was off her head somewhere. I stopped watching them because Darren gives me massive red flags, I am a survivor of CSA and there was looks and a few things he said/did that made me so uncomfortable that it triggered flashbacks.

My friends ex has alienated her sons. So incredibly sad. She’s not seen them for about 4 years. We also have it with my partners two daughters. The mothers say the daughters don’t want to see him, but you know it’s because of what they’ve been told about him. He’s a good man and these daughters are missing out big time. So incredibly sad.

I do worry about this family but I think Mia making videos about periods isn't necessarily such a bad thing. It can help to break the stigma and normalise this experience that most women have! Seeing a teenager talk about their periods confidently has the potential to help girls feel confident about their body and not to be ashamed of it. I do understand what you mean about it being a bit strange that the step-dad is editing it and it being questionable...

The scary part is if things go down with mia they will most likely use the 9 yr old that is biologically Darrin and Georgia's. Then they will move on to the next one.

I used to live in UK and Germany moved to Australia at 9 still moved from state to state and it really screwed with my Autism, I still have trouble socialising and I'm 37 . My dad was in the army, nightmare and he's so brainwashed that he has ptsd and try's to recruit my adult kids and my 8 year old in the army, 🤦‍♀️

I’ve watched this family since the very beginning and I really don’t see them being all the things you say they are. I definitely don’t know everything about the birth dad but I’ve never seen Mia or her parents say anything negative about him. He just isn’t in her life. Which is the case for so many kids and it just becomes the norm without there being hatred or anything towards the biological parents. The girls are very social and mature, more than I have ever seen with children who go to public schools or who have lots of friends. There are so many videos where they talk about how they make new friends wherever they go. They adapt well and positively to change and new experiences. You can tell they are very grateful, kind and humble kids. Mia writes her own books and chose to learn fluent Spanish. They have more drive and ambition that any kids ive ever met. Mia’s channel is geared towards other teenage girls to talk about teenage girl struggles. I can’t say I would allow my daughter to have a RU-vid channel because I know the creeps that are out there but I just don’t believe they are intentionally sexualizing her for views. I think they are a good and positive family that are raising really great kids.Also mia has always done all of her own editing and made all of her thumbnails since when she very first started her channel. She was kid who was very interested in editing and coding so she did the work to learn how to do it all her self and then showed Darren and Georgie how to be better at it all too.

After watching their Christmas special, I couldn’t believe how conditioned those kids are to ACT. It’s not even real! The 9 yr old is actually pretty good at it. That’s really sad 😞 they see a camera and immediately put the show on.
