My great grandfather lived to be 104. He was 3 months away from being 105. And his brother is currently 103 going on 104. So this subject intrigues me greatly. I hope I have their genes. Also my great uncle lived to be 100+. Not sure how old he was when he died. I have it on both sides.

Had a great aunt live to age 109.. about 4 months from super centenarian status which is age 110 or above remarkable to have that much longivity for any human. Got my respect for sure.

The lead researcher was amazing in his listening abilities and not projecting at first I didn't think I would like to study but I like it very much.

This is so ridiculous the dietary study they did they showed them pictures of hamburgers why didn't they ask them do they eat any special herbs did they eat any special greens what was their source of water do they take a hair sample did they take a blood sample this is the University their funding should be taken from them it makes people angry that you guys are such idiots why are they showing them pictures of whistles and trees and asking them what they are why don't you make a decent record and do decent research with decent data why are you showing him pictures instead of getting information from them you're trying to give them information.

I am glad you took blood samples finally someone took some blood samples did you look at the blood samples for nutrients the different levels of what's going on with their various system such as the endocrine. At least you took the blood samples thank goodness. And you send them off to Tulane well that's a really great idea. Hair sample check the nutrients check to are they high in iron are they low in iron check this stuff for you guys are better than the others at least you did take blood samples but please do a better job of you with your data!

Life in your years is more important than years in your life.

And these people seem to live as much as possible in all their years. So your point being?

I think they still should be looking for some small thing that is unique in their diet some like one lady I heard drink beet juice the juice off her beats that's unusual and it was just a coincidence that was recorded because the researcher didn't really pay attention to what she was saying so I think that you have to look for these little details in their life that's unusual or unique compared to the population.

This is study was better than most I think the doctors were very supportive and good listeners I did notice they didn't pick up on everything that at the end of the video a woman's eating something red unusual what is she eating you know they don't really seem to be in the food category a very alert to what's going on in that person's life I think they directed them in the food category but all these other doctors I think we're extremely good listeners and extremely supportive and did an excellent job

The brain researchers did an excellent and thorough job I would have preferred some more Advanced Equipment in the beginning better scans in the beginning but they did an excellent job.

I think they are missing their boat in correlating the evidence which is a shame. They really haven't found anything with their analysis. Wish I could have at that data!

how would you do it differently?

First off I would have not only tested 100+ I would have tested their children who could be healthy and around 78-80 years old by now. And even their children. And I would look for two sets of grandparents who lived past 90. Compare eating habits and then cross

Cross reference that to find epigenetic changes to see if changing the diet produces changes in the DNA that affects later generations.

Looking for genes that allow certain people to do better on food that their ancestors ate.

But even given the 20 year study they had I would have probed deeper. What type of cooking utensils did they cook with. Cast iron, copper, stainless. Etc. What type of heating did they have. What types of homes did they live in and how old were their homes. What type of cleaners did they use for their body and their house hold. When did they lose their hair or when did it start thining?
