Every time the ghost hunter speaks, it reminds me of a student bumbling through a class presentation, making it up as he goes and throwing in some nice big words.

The “drift with the tide” thing sounded like it was from a meditation app (sometimes also in ads). Imagine his meditation app just started playing and he got so embarrassed that he gaslit his friend into thinking it was a ghost😂

The true history of Sutro is actually extremely interesting, worth looking into sometime if you're into that type of thing. I enjoy these types of shows mainly for that premise. Regardless of if you believe in ghosts or whatever, the locations do have history and generally they are very fascinating to learn about. At least it used to be, idrk what's up with Ghost Adventures anymore. Haven't really sat down and watched it in like 7 years.

I used to be obsessed with this show. The way Zac wrote the script, the delivery, the portrayals of the spirits and editing. My 10 year old emo self really did love that shit.

my favorite episode is one where they’re revisiting a location from super early on in the show. the original time they were at this place, zak was making fun of the way one of the people in the location had passed and when they’re there a second time they play the clip in full and he’s just like “i’m gonna admit. that was a little bit out of line.” after him doing something so insensitive 😭

So, funny enough, before Sutro moved here, he had Sutro Baths constructed - a public, indoor swimming pool, and at the time the largest one in the world. He also built the nearby Cliffhouse. Both historic landmarks in SF, but both also burned to the ground lmao in the case of the Cliffhouse, it keeps burning to the ground and being rebuilt which has been a staple of my life. I was born in SF and have never moved, and every so often I get the news it burned down, then the news it got rebuilt. In the case of Sutro Baths, it stayed burned, but the cause was actually arson because it cost too much to maintain.

My sister dated a guy in hs whose home was in multiple episodes (the original owner was a prolific serial killer, they have had to keep calling forensics because eventhough it happened in the 90s, they’re still finding remains). What’s wild is that the house is ACTUALLY HAUNTED AS FUCK, but zach baggins kept trying to make them add shit in for extra content when it’s already teriffying. It’s crazy how my sister’s ex’s family was so desensitized and normalized SO MANY concerning things (like strangling events in the pool but they told my sister it’s rediculous for her to be scared because she didn’t match the victim profile, they had a buddy system for doors, also some kind of complicated kitchen protocol regarding knives) but otherwise were pretty reasonable, chill people...BUUUT Zach Baggins kept offering to pay them to say shit that didn’t happen in there but they refused to do that out of respect for the actual victims who died there. he wanted to stage the dumbest shit. They were on a bunch of ghost hunting shows (some real, some dramaticized which they disliked, but Ghost Adventures was the fakest and obviously cheesiest). They thought Zach Baggins was a total weirdo because he acts the same way off screen, he’s annoying as fuck & he was a safety hazard (apparently he kept going into the pool and begging the ghost to choke him which is relevant if you’ve seen those episodes bc that’s where the victims died & something that has occurred multiple times, also hitting on the killer to do it???) We had her bf watch the episodes w/ us and provide background and it’s hilarious that it’s such a fake show in a legitimately unsafe haunted property. After the first Ghost Adventures episode they hosted, they had to create Zach specific rules to negotiate having any more episodes w/ GA. They didn’t need the money so I don’t get why his family ever said yes again based on how often they made fun of him. *btw I’m not clarifying which episodes/property/family because it was my sister’s hs boyfriend so it’s not like I know them anymore

I'm a sucker for ghost hunting content, and I grew up on Ghost adventures! Looking back on it I don't know how I tolerated this show even as a little kid LMAO

I had a few strange things happen at my grandfathers house after he died. A few of them involved doors. I was painting when I heard the front door close. I distinctly remember hearing the click of the door knob followed by a click of the door knocker. First thing I removed the door knocker and the door is very heavy and tough to close. The storm door stayed open and I feel if it was wind the storm door would've closed. I tried closing the door many, many times to recreate the sound but I just couldn't. The next occurrence happened when I painting upstairs and I seen the bathroom door close out of the corner of my eye. What's weird about that is the door squeaked and I tried closing it many times and the door never squeaked. There was no wind either which I would've felt because the room I was in had a window on the same side as the bathroom and was only a few feet apart. I'm glad my uncle was there with me as that would've freaked me out. There was another incident where a car we had parked in the driveway just started. The keys were inside the house and I was there with my father and uncle. None of those prove ghosts exist obviously but I certainly don't dismiss even the idea of spirits anymore. These shows are a bit different as they're made for entertainment rather than documenting. I was only at the house for about a month and I had at least 3 bizarre things happen.
