Not at all the DA will not be blamed because DA can monitor, evaluate, report etc and with its good administration we will know exactly who does not perform and that one will be kicked ( literally) or kicked out.
CR just a liar, 43 deputy ministers is not to accommodate the other parties, it added 10 for the ANC. Not only bloated, but a lot of incompetence. ANC deputy for each other minister not ANC, what a corrupt cabinet.
You make an excellent point on performance reviews. The problem I would foresee is how will this be managed? The ANC obviously has it's own internal politics ... but how will alliance partners react to either bad performance and dismissal or a shuffle? A breakdown of the GNU? This in itself is a danger to accountability targets.

Irrespective of whether the DA are against mansions, etc, it would be unfair to expect of them to not use the facilities available if they are the only party to do that. Also if the ministerial houses are government property it must be used. This should be one of the areas that all parties reach consensus on to save money wherever they can. The other question that needs to be asked is whether the president are setting up certain DA ministers in areas they do not have expertise when even Angie knows nothing about defense but nothing is said about her expertise. Everyone should be given a fair chance

What sorts of acts must one commit to consolidate that kind of power? There's an interesting and probably terrifying story behind that guy.

Qualification does matter but being non-corrupt is currently more important. The DA also has a team of qualified people in the background. … and they are far less corrupt.
I'm also concerned MJ about negligence regarding the level of Education and expertise of our cabinet members. This education does not come easy and once you have conquered this says a lot about your competency. Many portfolios are collapsing because people who run them did not walk that path. The same criteria used for choosing a minister of Finance must be used across, then we will be in a better situation.

Yes we do appreciate your effort, energy, education, entertainment whereas sometimes we may sound hard, not on u but us as Africans in general. I would have loved Africans to put their differences aside, we have the numbers but divide and rule is still an effective tool used by colonizers even after more than 370 years. Just relieved that the DA didn't take over security & economic cluster and Dirco because progressive internationalism very important. We need Non-Aligned movement, BRICS etc going forward into the new world order🙂.

The separation of powers in the doctrine of Constitutionalism's ' real core focus, as you well know as a competent Legal man, really looks to separation of the 3 arms of the State, 1) The Executive, 2) The Legislature and 3) the Judiciary. How the President arranges which Ministers of State are inside the Presidency, really now, is highly internal to one arm of Government. It is exclusively The President's prerogative, as it resides entirely within the Executive Arm of the State. The Appointment of the Cabinet, as we all know, constitutionally (, as you have yourself recently unpacked it, in this program platform, just before Cabinet, was appointed), is the President's sole prerogative. Of course, in the nature of hard political reality, The President consults widely about that, among critical stakeholders, before appointing the Cabinet, as it also speaks heavily to balance of power forces on the ground, including critically, forces within the ruling party( Of course, with a hung Parliament and the emergent need for an NGU set up, as an additional dynamic reality, that dynamic is now in play too at National Government level ,too, for the first time since 1994.)
I forgot to add that in the prevailing Constitutional dispensation, we have a strong Presidency by Constitutional design of the founding Fathers and Mothers of Mzansi's Constitution. This goes back to Madiba's tenure and is not a new thing. So how the President arranges which Minister of State is inside or outside the Presidency, really, is of no real consequence. Its his exclusive call to make in political administration, as each and all Heads of State have to make it, all pragmatic considerations weighed into. Every Head of State needs a comfort zone about how he arranges his political arsenal, as State craft is very complex and tricky business, at the best of times. This, also, as in any event, anyway, even the Ministers that are not in the Presidency, report directly to the President, bottom line . There is no one breaking that spam in the line of command. Being inside or outside the Presidency office's significance, can thus, in respect to most departments, be easily over emphasized, as all Ministers report to the President and he can access any of them on demand, unless they are temporarily travelling or briefly medically indisposed or the like. Id like to add that, some Countries have even stronger Presidencies. In the US, for instance, the President is elected directly on a ticket with His or Her running mate .The President then sets up an Administration which really is made up predominantly of talented Professional and/or Political technocrats, far more than party loyalists, though, as candidate they ran for power on a party ticket. Sometimes a US President even appoints a person or two of the opposite political hue, purely because of their sheer competence. Secondly the US has the Presidental Veto over Congressional Legislative interventions, the bar to overturning which, is so high, that it extremely rarely is overturned or even attempted to overturn it!! There will always be pros and Cons about the level of the Constitutional power of any Head of State, for sure. However surely the worst scenario is a Head of State who is constitutionally hemmed in and can hardly ever drive any delivery that materially matters to lift their Nation's cause upwardly.

The markets are of interest to those who in most cases already have much more than their share. Markets look good to them because they are takers, exploiters of cheap labor who only think about what new toys & luxuries they want, & no longer care about the human condition. The people of South Africa are not interested in markets; they did not vote for the DA agenda. They voted for the basics to improve their lives. They rightfully expect their government to help them achieve comfortable living conditions certainly including housing, clean water, food, dependable affordable electricity, full employment with living wages, access to quality basic education including schools with toilets inside, followed by access to quality higher education. The markets do not serve these interests. The SA crime rate is directly related to how well the markets are doing. The markets are doing well so crime rates are high because people have no homes, jobs, or electricity. South Africa must take care of South Africans FIRST which will build your economy and the rand. Put yourselves first now. I see beautiful people I can hardly take my eyes off of you❤.

They still need to learn a lot my dear, I am talking from my point of both high qualifications and experience. My qualifications don't work for me but my experience does. Malema is bottled with anger he can not be the President, not anytime soon but maybe in the 5th or 6 th generation from now to come if the EFF will still exist. I like him but he is a disappointment. He is also not consistent. In my years of experience I have seen great and powerful people like him fail because of attitude, character and communicate skills.
