I remember in the late eighties and early nineties watching Bozo in the mornings

Always watched this as a kid. I used to get so annoyed when kids would miss the first or second bucket

Anyone else remember when TV stopped at night? When I was little this was one of the first shows to come on each day, and I always got up to watch it. Such an insanely different time.

What a great year 1988 was. There will never be another decade like the 80s sadly.

I'm adult now and $50 is now just part of my weekly spending money but when I look at that $50, it still gives me the feeling, "Wow! That's a lot!" I remember when I was a kid, how hard and long it was to save up $50.

I loved watching Bozo when I was a boy. I remember sometimes when someone would tell Bozo they already had that prize at home, and Bozo would sometimes say "Well, guess what?!?!? Now you have TWO!"

I watched this every morning before school!!

When The Grand Prize Game was over, I knew it was time to leave to catch the school bus.

I miss the Bozo Super Sunday show was a great show for kids back in the 80s my generation a great time to be a kid

I remember the reruns in the 90’s on the WGN Network

I never saw this show growing up in California, but when I was in my late teens I was in the Army stationed at Ft. Drum, NY and got in the habit of watching this every morning. After a while all of us in the barracks were watching to see if anyone would get the grand prize! I don't think I ever saw anyone win it.

1988 $50 was weeks groceries

I used to watch this show, too. My cousin was contestant on the Grand Prize Game once. She made it to Bucket #4 and got a lot of great prizes.

This was the best part of The Bozo Show. Just imagine how many families flying to Chicago so kids will throw a ping pong ball into a bucket. The farther the bucket means the bigger the prizes.

That Comic Book Teen Titan Anniversay edition is worth $100 today on eBay. The Michael Jordan Horse Basketball game is worth $400!!! The Basketball game was called Lil Sport Horse Basktball. The little shooter guy in this one was last white figure with Jordan's #. This was corrected in following year with a Black Michael Jordan.

I think this is the first video of the grand prize game that I’ve seen where when the kid wins the prize on the first bucket and bozo says look over there for the photo to be taken and the kid is ready for it and smiles instead of looking confused haha

Awesome that the bumper music at the end was stepping out by Joe Jackson. Also the second banana clown was pretty funny with his expressed herself gag, you know those clowns were exhausted.

I just learned last night that I work with the guy who was bozo the clown from 1987-89. I have no idea how this crazy old man from Fort Wayne Indiana ended up being such an iconic character.

Chicago had much better prizes than the other cities. I remember from the early 2000s getting all 6 buckets also won a free trip to any Southwest Airlines destination.

The show is a little bit different from the way it was when I was on it back in 1976. They used to use "Magic Arrows" to select contestants, but they probably changed to drawing ticket numbers with the "Bozoputer" because the arrows would often land on adults or babies and they had to keep spinning to get kids that could play, or they would land on a boy or girl when they already got one. With the Bozoputer, they only have to run it twice to pick one boy and one girl. Also, the band playing in the background sounds different from the way it was done earlier in the show's history.
