Hey guys, so a lot happened since my last video. Due to the huge bombshells that have been dropping this week I decided to make a new video expressing how I feel about them. Hopefully my opinions age well in this video but we will have to see. I would love to hear how you guys feel about the future of dc in the comments!

With how many people outraged by this decision you’d think Black Adam would have made money, but it proved that not even the promise of Cavil as Superman was worth it.

Exactly I went to see black Adam tower but it seems most people didn’t do the same. If the “die hard” Henry fans really wanted him I don’t think the movie would have performed how it did.

@@Dilpik the problem with dc is that they have it in their head to make a connected universe to challenge marvel, marvels strength has always been it’s connectivity because it was made by two dudes practically. Dc has the opportunity to tell whatever kind of stories it wants because there’s never really been one guiding force up until the new 52. They should just make a justice league movie and cast whoever, they should just make a green lantern movie where they cast whoever. Joker, batman and Aquaman have 2 things in common, none are heavily connected to any sort of outside universe and they all made billions.

The massacre had to be done by someone because the incredible work that Zack Snyder done starting DCEU with Man of Steel and BVS......was then messed up by WB who had no vision and much of what came after became a mess and very disappointing and there were moments when it looked like it was getting back on track when really it was always about Zack Snyders vision which was right in the beginning and Justice League and it's sequels. This reboot hopefully means no more sub standard movies but what it could do is still leave things open for is for Zack Snyder to come back do JL 2 & 3 if the demand is still there.

I was happy for Henry Cavill when he announced his return, but I have to admit I was skeptical that they could salvage the cinematic universe I was so relieved when we found out there was a reboot coming. The universe needs it I think this goes to show why it’s not so simple to just pander to fans. We are not a monolith.

I love Geoff johns as a comic book writer but he was already involved in the Dceu and it didn’t turn out well. He was one of the writers for wonder women 1984.

In other words let's start over? No thank you! That's like rebooting marvel right after Avengers. Let's look statically at what movies are better and what would have been better. Marvel Phase 1 Vs DC Phase 1 Iron Man Vs Man of Steel Batman Vs Deathstroke Vs The first Avenger Thor Vs Aquaman Wonder Woman Vs Hulk Zack Snyder Justice League Vs Avengers If we go by Statistics every part 2 and 3 on DC side of movies would have been a better Movie! Man of Steel 2 way better than Iron man 2 etc Sincerely

Yeah, I don't see how recasting is going to lead to something better. Recasting is an admission of failure. It would be better for them to rethink their vision. Consider what happened after X-Men: The Last Stand. A lot of people hated that movie. A later film with the same cast did very well. X-Men: Days of Future Past received 90% positive reviews. The DCEU has been hit and miss. It's the same with the MCU. You're not always going to get it right. You just have to learn from mistakes. The only way I think it could work is through time travel and parallel universes.

Big mistake to make SM center of the DC universe. The demise of MCU was making Spider Man the center. The rebirth was shifting to IM, CA, BP, and making Spiderman secondary. It was done out of financial necessity. But that's what DC needs to do. See comic fans and the general public know Superman, just like fans knew Spiderman - though no where near Superman. Yes, everyone knows chocolate ice cream, it's good, but people also want to try new. That is what MCU gave audiences with IM, CA, BP etc. Done right, of course, out of the park. Look what happens when DC gives new: AM, WW, JK, SS were fresh and new. They made money. What happened to MoS, JL that centered around SM - dud. Looks like DC is going to have to learn this lesson the hard way.

James Gunn deserves that chance. The fans deserves that chance. Those characters deserve that chance. Agree 100% with that sentiment and I wish more of the DC fandom would abandon the "outrage" and look at what can be. We never really had anything to begin with, and that's how its been for almost 10 years. I'm ready!

You are missing the point the thing that makes me angry is that he is gonna make a younger superman origin story which we SAW MILLIONS OF TIME THE THING THAT great about henry being superman again is that we were Gonna have superman older and In his prime dont you guys wanna see old superman takes on galactic threats like brainiac and stuff that would put superman back to being people favourites instead of younger superman being a reporter and trying to find who he is and control his powers for the billionth time nobody would pay to see that I'm telling you that RIGHT NOW I'm not gonna go to theatre to see Clark Kent simp over Lois again I would rather watch paint dry I agree james gunn is great and all but this is bad you had the perfect superman and you just ruined it....I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure hime making young superman would mean an origin story but this news isn't good guys

Look I understand it had to be done, and we can't blast the hell out of James Gunn without giving him a chance. But he is showing as what can be right now. But what we want is to keep what we have. But let's give him the benefit of the doubt that it will all work out. A shame that the perfect superman is gone and the comic accurate batman is gone.

I had 0 investment in the Snyderverse (because that's what the DCEU was all along, dark edgy trash) but I have no hope for anything from this man either. He'll at most make everyone and everything either an uninspired joke or an edgy joke. I'm confident that they fired Cavil solely because Jar Jar Abrams wanted his black superman lmao.

@@newagerise4638 Joker is not a superhero. Batman being dark is reasonable, but everything's dark nowadays so I would prefer the Batman that shows his strength to not give up in front of adversity, not the ARRRGGG ALIEN BAD, MARTHAAAAA GOOD WE FREINDS NOW (I didn't like The Batman anyway lol)
