Vaush represents a group of people accustomed to being abused by others for his views. When people who have experienced similar events they usually congregate around similar interests. These two cultures Vaush is apart of is japanese culture anime etc and fetish sex culture. The problem with these two groups is that normally they are harmless but in the bowels of both of these interests is a dark place where people that may not normally be into things can become twisted just by the sear problem of needing to up the antes to enjoy the same brain response. I think in the circles frequented by these communities because they are use to be hated can find themselves engaged in behaviors and justifying those behaviors because of their shared abuse background. I am not trying to justify or normalize but I think when you have these things going at the same time it will warp your reality. I think more work needs to be done to understand how people become interested in young adults or view them as sexual objects. Its a hard group to study because usually people are not open about their negative thoughts. I have worked with teenagers for several years as a mental health professional and in school systems. What has always shocks me is how much kids want to be grown up but they are still developing and learning (a person wiser than me once said we are all the ages we've ever been all at the same time") (these kids no matter what their bodies look like are still children and we're taking something away from them when we don't let kids enjoy those experiences before they are met with the reality of the world around them. The brain of a child isn't fully developed till someone is 25 on average so saying that you can have a consensual relationship with a minor is insane because of the brain development difference. I think our culture has an obsession with body parts and if we developed a view of sexuality as an event between consenting people instead of the body parts the world could be a different place. I think people that are into kids have a hard time admitting something is wrong with them cause they have to admit their a part of them broken inside. My other theory is people into kids are really stunted at a certain age developmentally so a kid to them is a peer. Cause whenever I work with these kids I see them as they could literally be my children. I grew up in the age of the internet I have seen horrors beyond imagining, but understanding the difference between poison and something good for you is not something everyone is equipped to do.

This was awfully out of context. Clips were cut from various streams over the course of all of Vaush’s streaming career. He absolutely had some creepy and concerning responses in his early streaming career but he has definitely shifted from being a cringe reactionary type to more grounded and uncharismatic. Stringing all the clipped Vaush moments and then drawing it to a conclusion happening right now is pretty bad faith and then making fun of him for not responding seems like bullying. Ethan and the crew had a decent reaction at first but over the course of the last few days they’ve progressively gotten more bad faith.
