I love how supportive and engaged Ethan is during these PowerPoint segments. Olivia obviously puts a lot of hard work into them and he never just sits and acts uninterested.

Some people not understanding how gross this is so bizarre to me. As a 25 year old, when I look at my cousin who is 14 she is a BABY. At 25, I would NEVER speak to any kids that age like they were my best friend. They’re children…. I can’t even fathom being 30+ and doing that. Plus, she did MUCH MUCH more, but even at the minimum just befriending kids was so gross.

The thing that is most abundantly clear to me is that Colleen is so so emotionally immature… Like.. something is not clicking in her brain. As a 30 something yr old woman, she really thought she could be besties with 13-14 year olds fans… I genuinely think there are some mental issues going on there

Poor Adam 💔 imagine your idol ghosting you after blaming you for the backlash on something THEY approved, and then the entire internet berating you and calling you a liar, all as a child. He’s a tough cookie and I’m glad he’s being vindicated. Massive props to Olivia for this break down, she made a convoluted situation so much easier to understand. She’s awesome!

It made me literally cry seeing the photos of little Adam with Colleen, I’m 33 and not even a mother myself and my heart broke in half seeing him cry and looking at those photos of him as a pure beautiful happy star struck boy with her. Like I wanted to lunge through the screen and give this child a hug.

The reason Kodee got cancelled was because everyone saw thru what she was doing. She was fully on board with trying to ruin Adam’s life with agreeing to conspire with Colleen about trying to frame him and then she only comes to defend him when she personally got burned. She didn’t care at all about redeeming Adam she just used him and his situation to paint Colleen in a negative light.

People forget that Shane had a group on dailybooth where he would ask his underage fans to send him pictures of their "giving birth pose" or "sucking ***" face" ........ Or his livestreams he used to do with his fans or interacting with them on Omegele, asking that one girl to twerk. And he exchanged gum with underage fans and kissed them on the lips. Let's not downplay what Shane did pls. It wasn't just his youtube content.

Kode made fanfictions of minors in their group chat. And in a couple of them she wrote about them being raped. She's disgusting. She was speaking to children too.

Honestly huge props to Olivia for sharing all of this. Seeing the drama through the POV of someone who was herself a huge fan makes the reality of these interactions much clearer, and it highlights how widespread some of these issues obviously are. Listening to her talk about her parasocial relationship was Colleen was interesting, and I'm currently thinking about where exactly the boundaries "should" be. -I see an argument for keeping interactions between fans and content creators as disappointingly one-directional and mediated as possible, given the obvious and serious potential for abuse. -On the other hand, the entire premise of the medium is the sense of intimacy and connection, and I can imagine that there's a lot of benefit there. If Colleen or her bestie were therapists or teachers, it would be immediately clear that they were behaving inappropriately - no reasonable person would listen to a teacher's explanation for sending their panties home in a kid's backpack or texting them details about their divorce, but I can at least understand that in ten years of interacting with a group of fans, as a comedian and in this grey area between friend and authority figure, people can make some poor decisions in the moment and later regret them. Maybe the period stuff was meant to be a bit, maybe it's some personal stuff she's into. Straight up asking a group chat of teens about virginity and sex positions though, how does a 33-year-old hit send on that text message?

After Colleen's divorce from Josh, Rachel posted a vlog of her and Colleen being in Big Bear for skiing. There was a shot of Erik cominng out of the bathroom. I commented "looks like Colleen has a new bae" my phone went off. The video was then taken down and reuploaded without Erik. Yes, Colleen cheated on Josh. Otherwise, Rachel would have not edited the video.

This is why we need to teach our kids not to idolize people,because they’re just human and don’t always have your best interest at heart. As parents we need to be aware of who and what they’re doing on the internet.

I just can’t imagine being friends with a child as an adult. I’m only 25 and I think 18 year olds might as well be alien creatures to me

The shadiness of Colleen's divorce from Josh and her relationship with Erik that followed was when I began to look at her different. Joshua and Colleen dated for 7 years - they met when she was in New York and then he moved to California to be with her so she could be closer to her family. They vlogged a lot of their relationship and their wedding was huge. They bought a house together and while Josh was vocal about settling down and starting a family, Colleen was eager to keep working. A year after their marriage, she moves to Canada to begin filming Haters Back Off and Josh stays behind in California. He visited a handful of times and each was as Olivia described Colleen's trip home - awkward, distant, tense - there was clearly a lot happening behind the scenes. At this point in Colleen's vlogs, Erik is becoming a more prominent figure and fans are noticing. When Josh adopted the dog, everyone called out how Colleen never bonded with it and was more distracted by her time in Canada. They eventually announce their divorce and the timeline with Erik carries on as Olivia describes. Although Colleen has never admitted to anything, Josh was adamant in his divorce video that he did not ask for it and his life spiraled into alcoholism, depression, and many other personal concerns as a result of the divorce. While Colleen may not have physically cheated, she more than likely emotionally cheated and gaslighted Josh when he expressed how uncomfortable her relationship with Erik was, only to end up with him and compromise to put her career on hold to begin their family in the home she originally bought with Josh for the same future plans. Josh is not perfect, but to spend nearly a decade with someone you're head over heels for, someone you think wants you the same way and wants that life with you, only for them to throw it all away after a year is insane. If she noticed red flags or had issues, she should have brought them to light sooner or never married him in the first place. Her failed marriage is on her for not communicating responsibly.

you never really recognize how young you were until you get older and you actually see what a 14-year-old looks like ngl I kind of teared up when Adam was looking at the pictures of him as a kid… it’s a hard realization to make and I can’t imagine having to deal with that in front of the Internet.

I love Olivia’s segments and she’s been a much needed addition to the crew, but what really makes these PowerPoints so good is Ethan asking his questions wanting every detail about everything in and not in the PowerPoint - Olivia’s ability to answer almost every one in full detail without having it planned was pretty iconic tho

I don’t think she’s a p3do, i think she just loves to see the power he has on her fans and how easy she can manipulate them. She probably loves to see them being willing to do anything to get her attention. The fact that she has absolutely no remors is so scary. And Olivia didn’t even talk about the animal abuse which is another extremly disturbing thing. Not only the dog story but also the way she treats her cats in her miranda video. I have a cat and i would NEVER interract with him the way she does with them. It’s like she just doesn’t care about living beings, she just uses them and doesn’t care about how they feel. I was an adult when my sister was 13/14. I could NEVER imagine talking to her friends in a group chat, let alone trying to befriend them in general. The maturity and life experience difference was HUGE. Multiply that with fame and power dynamics and it becomes extremely gross, uncomfortable, and straight up wrong. I have followed Colleen for MANY years and I feel like Ethan was spot on with her being sheltered, selfish, and not thinking of her actions. I feel she isn’t aware of what 13 year old talk about and also isn’t aware that talking to minors is weird because she is still childlike. With being very sheltered and religious I don’t think she has learned this but who is her management team and why would they approve of her talking to minors In a group chat?

I think when you guys say Shane didn’t have much direct inappropriate contact with fans, it’s incorrect. I remember seeing Omegle clips with Shane asking minors to twerk, and inappropriate group messages as well. He might not have been as active with his fans as Colleen, but there was definitely more to base his cancellation off of than his content. Both had nasty shit behind the scenes going on with young fans.

Olivia‘s presentation style together with Ethan‘s questions and comments are just what I needed to not get lost in the whole drama mess with so many people, most of them I never heard of and with so many similar sounding names.

I feel like this was glossed over a little bit: Colleen admitted that her Miranda character was based on a DISABLED family member of hers. This offensive, hurtful and ableist persona had free range over the internet for years. Instilling internalised ableism into her young fans. When you talk about how Colleen is a groomer, cheater and racist, don’t forget to add ableist to the disgusting mix.

Shallow point but Olivia’s handwriting was/is beautiful. In retrospect, I’m so glad she had a disappointing meet and greet, rather than getting trapped into the “exclusive group” of dominance, manipulation and abuse. I’m so sorry for every person that went through that in whatever form.

She, a grown ass adult, knew what she was doing. She has clear narcissistic traits - trying to blackmail a child, cheating and lying to those close to her, etc etc. She is not just stunted or ignorant. This shit is all calculated its so obvious. Lets call it like it is. Grooming children has serious repercussions. I am a victim myself and I cannot put into words how damaging it is. You never get over that kind of pain being groomed in your developmental years. In my opinion she is a pedo. Many pedos feel like they never grew up thus keep the attraction of other children (bc they see themselves as still a teen/child themselves). If she is 'stunted' on top of other things she can still be a pedo. This is my opinion. No other excuse to groom a child beyond the adult enjoying it.

I was a 14 year old who had 18-35 year olds tryna get in my pants, being sexual with me, i thought it made me mature and cool, but that was just the manipulation from the adults. The fact so many people blamed sweet Adam is so gross. I was 16 when a college boy was spreading my nudes without my consent. I got berated so bad, was called a disgusting whore, even had peoples moms telling me to stay away from their sons, sooo many rumours about my sexual health and saying I was pregnant, yet not once did anybody blame the adults spreading CP, not even my parents. I remember watching Colleen speak about how the ads shouldn't have been disabled on children's content 'because it is just making it easier for the pdfiles to watch the children where as before they had to sit through an ad' it didn't make sense because that group will wait through an ad. Who turning off the ads are to discourage are the garbage parents who cater to the creeps in a subtle and unsubtle ways with their children sometimes to make money off their children's exploitation. She was going to the family channel route and was probably just mad she might not be able to profit. I think there was a time where family channels were in question if they could be counted as children's content.

I don’t think it’s a case of colleen being sheltered sadly. She has been making content like this for 16ish years, she has been to the vidcons, the playlists, meet&greets etc. And knows EXACTLY who her audience is. The people buying her tickets, watching her shows, clicking on her videos are predominantly CHILDREN! she’s making money from them by playing into the parasocial relationship. They defend her against anyone who disagrees with her and she offers them an idea of ‘friendship’ in return. Its hard to believe that anyone who has been face to face with the children that adore them for over 10 years truly wishes to befriend them bc of being ‘sheltered’.

I had adored and loved colleen since i was 8 and i’ve been a fan of hers for 8 1/2 years just up until like 3-4 months ago. I did stop watching her because she nonstop posted videos crying all the time and being very mood swingy and i felt like she was off so i stopped watching because she kept being weird and i was kind of getting worried, now seeing all this stuff coming out about her it all really does add up and i cannot believe i’ve watched her for this long and haven’t realized all this absolutely mind blowing.
