World of Darkness: Immortals is a sourcebook for Chronicles of Darkness that introduces Immortals, individuals who have achieved immortality by heinous acts, into the World of Darkness. Immortals are divided into three segments: Blood Bathers, Body Thieves & The Purified.
In this guide, The Botch Pit discusses Immortal's overall setting, atmosphere, terminology, character creation, storytelling techniques and how to implement this book into your game.

Love this vid! Some immortality methods that might actually work in a future beyond. 1. Digitizing. We could simply digitize our brains,living always online as data. Robot bodies??? 2. Cloning. Just switch bodies as they wear out. Like buying a new car. Requires brain imprinting again. 3. Cellular Control or Atomic Control. If we could program cells or even atoms,we could instruct them to not degrade,stasis at 20.

What if a Blood Bather’s recent victim becomes a Sin-Eater during the ritual? Would that interrupt the process?

To your knowledge, are there any rules about switching from one type to another? Like say if a bloodbather discovered the purified and wanted to switch.

Hey James! As for the switching between Immortals, there are no "written" rules for doing so. That is not to say you can't do it though. If I were to take a stab at it, I would want to approach the transition from Bloodbather to Purified from a research perspective. Due to Bloodbathers being incredibly research heavy, once they have obtained their immortality, they may try to research and find a more sustainable method. In this story, what may be a nice twist is having the now-Purified's antagonists in the Shadow and Mortal realm as the ghosts of previous individuals that they killed in order to bath in their blood. The possibilities are endless! I hope this helped!

Am I the only one who feels the immortals got a bit shafted in 2e. Im ok with them being tied more to mummy but it seems like they lost some depth in 2e. Hell the Wardens and Harvesters got left behind, and some of the interesting details like the bloodbather bath customization got left in the dust.

How would the purified react normally to the uratha and vice versa upon first meeting one another?

Hey Dr. Revenant, sorry it took so long to get back to you! Relationships between werewolves and the purified are often complex and occasionally violent. In terms of first meeting each other, both travel regularly between the Shadow Realm and mortal world - so it’s pretty much inevitable that they’d meet at some point. The nature of these interactions depends on what exactly the purified is actually doing. Some ally themselves with spirits, some have totems that get along with werewolves who have the same totem - it all really depends. On page 96 of Immortals, they actually go into detail of this exact situation!
