Today, we're talking about the hardest bosses from each of the souls games by FromSoftware. This includes Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. I wanted to list the hardest bosses from each game and list the reasons why I think they're difficult because they all have unique combat styles and other mechanics that set them apart from each other.
Thanks to Gamer 19 for letting me use some gameplay!

Hot take: Malenia would go from the hardest boss to one of the easiest bosses if she was a sekiro boss, because her entire moveset feels more fitting for a game with the sekiro combat style

If they put Malenia in Sekiro. She'll be hard too because she will wield a Sekiro mechanic ans you have to deal with it. Imagine her gaining her posture back whenever you didn't parry her attacks and just guarded them. It will be a pain.

For me, Malenia feels more like a Sekiro boss instead of a souls boss. Her sword combos feel like they would have worked better with Sekiro’s combat style. Also, wouldn’t it have been cool to see two master swordsmen/woman with amputated limbs fighting?
@atlas1215

I agree with the sentiment on Malenia feeling like a Sekiro boss. Waterfowl Dance reminds me too much of Spiral Cloud Passage, one of the combat arts Tomoe created. It makes me wonder if parts of Malenia's moveset was inspired or potentially utilized what might have been a scrapped Tomoe design/boss in Sekiro.

One thing about Malenia is that she functions the same as Elden Ring itself: it can be as easy or difficult as you want, depending entirely on how you choose to play and how much you explore. You decide the difficulty of encounters. There are many ways to cheese Malenia. RoB, FBJ, dual Scavenger Swords, spirit summon (especially the mimic), Maliketh’s Black Blade, Ice Spear ash of war, etc. In an honest duel, she’s probably the hardest boss in the series, but you can turn her into a human pincushion with a quick trip to Mt Gelmir or killing a Nightrider in Liurnia.

She heals 300-400 damage per hit and by the time you find her in the game, you should be doing 500+ damage. Plus she only heals on hit and you should learn not to get hit that much like any other boss. Generally not a problem! It's a hard boss to be certain and requires a high skill cap but it's a secret optional boss therefore you can skip her if you don't want to fight her or feel like she's too difficult. I think Midir’s learning curve is very high, but I feel like once I beat him one time, it was very consistent after that. I think he still is the hardest boss the game by far (probably top 3 in the series), but it’s just a different type of fight because of his size and damage output. He actually doesn’t have many moves, but the difficulty comes in his damage and most builds pretty much getting one shotted. The health never felt too crazy to me as I was able to get a riposte on him every fight, which reduces his health significantly. I feel like people either can get used to the style of fight or struggle with it. I would probably put Melania solo above him just because of the insane move pool coupled with the high execution. ER is more easily exploited, which makes her maybe seem easier, but just looking at the fight alone, I think she edges him out. Isshin is definitely up there, and that is the type of fight I struggle with, but great video overall, and I agree with pretty much ever pick.

I think of sekiros Guardian ape who can fill your terror bar with 1 attack if you don't run away or Nashandra from DS2 who slowly fills your cursed bar by close proximity to her are good examples Upping his effect of deathblight by proximity would force the melee players to distance themselves to let their bar drop but they could make him super aggressive with ranged attacks so Magic users have to get closer to have an opening to attack. The watchdog and Amygdala are a lot more consistent, I would say, and much more subjective too. I got the dog down in like, 2 tries, but defiled Amy drove me insane. @@batman1155 I think he has opening but it works differently than most if not all souls boss. You don't wait for him to finish a certain pattern or combos. You attack him during his combo. Maliketh stab the sword to the ground charging AoE then jump backward, this is an opening. You wait behind him for him to backflip so you can attack him. Maliketh long delayed slam to the ground, you can just stay very close under him and the sword will miss. Another window. His slashes that looks like one mind from sekiro, you dodge to his left/right by rolling or simply running. That is also a window to attack. For some reason, the normal runs are harder than challenge runs, I still remember how Nameless king was my DS3 hardest boss, but when I went to fight him at sl1 with +0 weapons, he became much much easier. Perhaps because you adapt to the bosses on a whole another level. Therefore, in dark souls, the weaker you get, the easier the game gets. Unless you're a game journalist

I had the same thing happened to me with Fume Knight :D Agreed on prettymuch all the choices you've made for +0 games. Especially for the two bosses picked at the end. Altho I would probably change second picks for DS3 and ER on NG+7. In DS3 +7 Midir still felt hardest by far, I've never really had troble with Friede, but I would put Gael +7 as a second pick. And honorable mention Demon Princes on +7 suddenly felt quite insane too. As for Elden ring, Malenia on +7 is still on top. Maliketh felt absolutelly nuts when I first encountered him on +0, but since he has so little health he really gets easy on subsequent NG+, meanwhile Radagon+Beast were not a bad fight in itself at first, but on NG+7 I feel like they've earned my second spot for me. And really close third I would be picking between the crucible knights duo boss fight and gargoyle duo boss fight. As for any other games, I'd say the list stays the same for me. And a side-note. I'm glad you didn't put Radahn, Nameless king or Abyss watchers there. I don't get why so many people in past thought of them as hardest.
