Anastasia was also called The Imp for her pranks and teasing. Once Anastasia was teasing mercilessly her aunt Olga Alexandrovna slapped her to make her stop. Anastasia didn't cry and left the room. When she threw that snowball rock at Tatiana who was knocked unconscious Anastasia cried. She was a bit of a firecracker! I think she would've been a great actress. Ironic the "disappointment," turned out to the most famous Romanov sister. Thank you Jon for videos on the Romanov sisters. They were beautiful girls whose lives were cut too short.

Thank you. My opinion is that there was no such chance that any of the royal family would have been allowed to escape and therefore 'Anna Anderson' and others were ridiculous. The story is awful and heartbreaking but thank you for the video.

Perhaps believed by those that couldn't face the truth. It should be noted that Tsar Nicholas's mother never met with any of them. She said they were still alive, but we all know that she knew the truth and it was too upsetting for her to face. 2 sons and 5 grandchildren lost. I should note, that Grand Duke Michael's remains have still not been found.

About the debate of which sister was buried apart, is kinda complex by the information that I had reach. The facial reconstruction from one of the three grand duchesses recovered in 1991, shows us that it was Anastasia. But then the investigators said that her body was too tall for her, since she was kinda tiny. Also, Anastasia's remains shows she was shot in her leg, when Yurovsky noted that it was Maria trying to open the door behind them during their murder. I had read also that in their burial their bodies where "separated", but judging by the drawings of the position the corpses were found, I doubt so. So I think that Anastasia, which was 17, grew up her last months of life, and Yurovsky confused Anastasia with Maria in the moment of their murder due to the smoke and screams. Or just both were shot on their legs. Anyway we won't know what happened exactly that night, even the executers would be debating about it within them. (each one says different things, most of them were drunk, and they claim to murder X when they didnt, sooo...) Anyway, even if this is heartbreaking, I prefer that they died this way... Since the plans for them were even worse... They planned to took them away, and lynch each one of them until their death, and by the number of men there... I doubt that they would just do that.

The debate over which Grand Duchess was buried apart is indeed complex and filled with contradictions. The confusion around Anastasia and Maria’s remains, especially given the circumstances of their deaths, makes it difficult to draw definitive conclusions. You’re right that even the executioners’ accounts vary, adding to the mystery. Despite the tragic nature of their deaths, it’s chilling to think that their fate could have been even worse.

@@user-qt8zw3ij6y yes, it would have been easy for the men to keep the girls with them for quite some time before the final outcome 😟

In other words, Anastasia was a nasty little spoiled brat. I can not understand the need to elevate these people who were so clearly not suited to rule anything. Having said that, I have to say that they definitely did not deserve the fate they got.

I have never accepted that DNA testing back then was able to debunk Anna Anderson's claim to be the Grand Duchess BUT what finally clinched it for me was the matter of voice the real Anastasia spoke English perfectly and without any accent, for it was the family tongue of the mother who was brought up by queen Victoria and they all spoke it en famille. the imposter spoke broken English with a heavy accent. i find it impossible to believe that trauma could break the pronunciation of what amounted to one's mother tongue, ergo she as not Anastasia Nikolayevna so who was she? she as too short to be the[polish factory worker Franciska Shanskowska; and her ability to recognize a Romanov courtier BY THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE in an age when voice recording were very rare indicate that to me she was a Romanov court insider of some kind. either way there are some completely remarkable coincidences in this story given that Anna Anderson was able to pass every forensic test available in her lifetime
