Madhouse is killing it with the adaptation, and the quality just multiplies on itself because the source material is so good too. The original manga series was one of the 2023 recipients of the Shogakukan Manga Award, which is one of the most prestigious manga awards in Japan. If you take a look at the previous winners, you'll find nothing but bangers (of course, they're all award-winners). So if you ever find yourself in search of a new series to start, that list is a good place to look.
Okay so i was one of those that never paid attention to studios, directors, VAs and credtis in general and i remember one time during the quarantine i was rewatching OPM and decided to see what other anime that studio had made. You cannot understand how dumbfounded i felt reading the list with all the goats under one studio HxH, Monster, Death Note, One Punch Man, A Place Furhter Than The Universe, NGNL (i had already seen all of those and never knew it was the same studio)
Serie may downplay her relationship with all her students, but it's very obvious how deeply she cared about each of them. She'll hide behind "I only trained her on a whim" her whole life, I'm sure, but even so she remembers all the little details about them as we see her reminisce about Flamme even as a child.
@@MysticLukawell I assume it’s her way to cope with their deaths, since she has such a long lifespan and have to experience/go thru a lot of her students’ death She isn’t necessarily numb to the deaths of her student, more so she pretends to not care so she can feel better and feel less grief Spoiler: In chapter we can see she actually spoils her students/disciples a lot, classic tsundere troupe
I think the reason why frieren opens those mimic with a chance of 1% is because in her whole life she could have opened enough mimic that some of them were actual chest and not mimic
Frieren : Fern, we have just defeated a mimic. Do you really think their will be another right next to it? Fern : I can detect magic in it, just like the other one, and other mimics through out this dungeon. Frieren : No, it is definitely a magic item this time :3
I'm very excited for Fern's development in magic because she's improving at a fast rate! My theory is that she will becomethe Flamme of her generation.
If we ever see a far in the future point in time of the story, I'm certain that Stark and Fern will both be considered legendary figures in their own right some day.
@@MysticLuka I'm sure that Frieren will take care of their future off springs. Even when they have passed that Frieren will always have something from them in her life.
Frieren is one of the only media i can recall where being in a spectrum or not having the normal mental capacity is logically embedded into the power system we have so many crazy characters in media that are strong just because they are crazy
4 episodes? We eating! Also I see that you like both Frieren and Made in Abyss, I hope youll consider to react to Dungeon Meshi too, it's another good fantasy anime as well.
She didn't have basic offensive or defensive magic (or flight) back then as that was invented due to Qual. So imagine trying to fight against all those beams without a shield or beaming back.
@@Hanztoeshanzbow Then I don’t see how they could have defeated the Demon King… did Frieren develop Zoltrack and defensive spells along with human mages before they fought the Demon King? Actually, I don’t want to know further, lol. I don’t like spoilers, so I hope it’s logically explained in the anime. ^_^
@@wrexgrafix84there are no spoilers for that, the story in the manga still has so much to talk about, we still dont know how they defeated the demon king, or how he was, or why he was even, its a complete mystery but with time we will see
@@wrexgrafix84 No idea, I've not read the manga further than the anime. Though I do think Zoltrack was just Qual's magic, other demons (probably including the Demon King) didn't use it, and the defensive spell was mostly to counter Zoltrack.
