I just lost my Husband two days ago, I found out he hid that he was diagnosed with pleurisy and while he was suffering from what I thought was just a cough, I kept asking him to quit smoking but he is stubborn. I found myself driving to a hospital to find out they couldn't get his heart to beat again. Please love your love ones more. You never know how fast you could lose them. I loved my husband so so much, and I miss him tremendously.
I lost my wife of 15 years about 4 years ago, from cancer. It was the hardest thing I have dealt with in life, but life does go on, and though there is always that void, the toughest part for me was getting through the first 8 months or so. It’ll obviously be different for different people, but the extra hard part doesn’t last super long. Stay strong, and focus on loving those still in your sphere.
Dr. Berg, I just wanted to share my experience; I recently took my dog to the vet and she is going to be 11 years old. Veterinarian said that my dog was in very good health and asked me what I do for my dog. I said I walk my dog everyday at least 3.2 miles to 5.2 miles There are some nice walking trails near my house. The best decision I made was to retire early at 62 in 2020. Not only was this a good decision for my dog but for myself also. Since I had more time I began to exercise. Not only did my dog lose weight but I went from 197 lb to 167 lb. Probably the most important thing is that I have less stress in my life. I sleep better, eat better and feel better. I recently seen my cardiologists and he put me on a echocardiogram and did the stress test. Basically he told me to just keep on doing what I am doing. I took that is a clean bill of health. I also wanted to "Thank You" for all of the wonderful information that I've received by listening to you!
@@edwardalamo2507 One problem is that a lot of people are sitting still at a desk at work getting stressed. It's far less healthy than a walk in the fresh air and sunlight. I guess job satisfaction would be healthy though.
Take control of your life physically mentally emotionally relationships energy interactions and have fun with it all because your not in control of anything really 😂
@@mattwells5022 true that. And notable stoics would advise you to fret only over that which you have agency, which frankly is very little as you mention.
Trust in the Lord read the Word of God. Psalms 94:19 19 When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. Matthew 11:28-30 KJV [28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Philippians 4:6-7 KJV [6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Sorry but if you do sports that demand adrenaline but stay in good shape even if over 70 you do not have to worry. Clean air real water from source, clean protein, all organic food incl. butter, no sugar no dough no alcohol, daily green drinks made with no sugar coconut water, a shot of pomegranate juice every morning (arteries) - snowboard or kite surf at high energy levels and noticed nothing in my heart... ever. And worry is a lazy man's word.
Do not forget the brutal mistreatment at work that many of us have suffered for years, even in different jobs, which forces us to be in a permanent "state of war" and for this reason I have suffered an acute myocardial infarction...too much stress... and now I understand the mechanism thanks to Dr. Berg.

Or....illustrate, how dangerous any bad or wrong medical advice from him, now can do possible damage to a lot more people! One can only hope, Eric Berg is treating this fact, with a increase in feeling responsible for not giving out advice that hurts people, more than it does good...looking at his past videos until now, I don't feel confident he view it this way! 🤫
Great video, there is nothing like a perfect marriage or relationship, I learnt that in everything there is always a solution, 5 years ago I and my wife divorced because we were having some difficulties in our marriage but we are back together ,it was a really bad phase but we got through it
there is a lot of sense in what you just said and I hope mine works the same way too, we are currently separated but I cant live without her, I love her so much. wish I can get her back I can do anything to have her back, we have tried therapy amongst other things

This was so informative & interesting. I have Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Diabetes & Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was hospitalized a few months ago due to severe arrhythmias my ekg were very abnormal. I was told i was having a heart attach & was put on a nitroglycerin IV drip. Which only gave me a headache. I had a cardiac catherization & my arteries are in perfect condition. They said the right side of my heart was enlarged due to having to pump harder to get O2 to my lungs. Im on 3 liters of O2 24/7. Ive been on oxygen since i was 36yrs old and im 46 now. I smoked for several years and i am paying for it with my health. Im in a hospital bed in my parents living room so i can be around my family. I was told i would die before i was 45 but im still fighting for my life. I believe everything happens for a reason. And i still have purpose here on earth. My faith in God has provided a peace that passes all understanding. There is still hope and i believe that Dr. Berg gives us the information we need that can increase our chances of living longer & extending our hope for greater things. God bless everyone & have a great day ❤
I'd take what berg says with a grain of salt not as gospel as there is alot he does not mention. Learn about about the benefits of an ancestral (carnivore) diet, and reconnecting with the earth quite literally through grounding and lots of sunlight exposure. The biohacking space has alot of good information. These things have helped me reverse incurable illnesses. Hope this helps
I am a 68 yo white male and I have:- Colitis (in remission) Diverticulosis Varicoceles Acid reflux High blood pressure (just diagnosed) High cholesterol (just diagnosed) Am pre-diabetic (just diagnosed) I am now taking steps to to tackle the last 4 items, mainly by stopping sugar, sweets, whitebread, pies, pasties, cakes, buns etc. My doctor prescribed statins which I would prefer to avoid. I'm 5 days into my new regime, it's a bit confusing with all the differing advice, but time will tell if it's working.
@HeleneNutrientsRich Acid reflux is gone. indigestion now very rare, I used to get it every day. lost 4 kilos in weight. Blood pressure reduced to normal levels, based on average readings over 11 days. Next blood test is in September.
I appreciate not only these important issues you talk about, but also the detail you go into with each topic. The explanation of how people get to the state they’re in is sorely lacking in the medical industry. How are people supposed to heal and then avoid relapsing into the same condition without understanding the causes? Thank you for your clear and concise explanations! You’re a blessing!
I would also add that getting a monthly massage helps greatly reduce built up stress and tension in the body. Sure, those things mentioned helps relieve temporary stress in the moment, but massage therapy helps release stuck tension, emotions and muscles that can cause chronic stress and make you stay in fight or flight most of the time. Massages to me are not talked about enough and the importance of having another trained human being push energy around/out of the body. To me, it helps take me out of fight or flight and resets my autonomic system.
I believe it. When I had my first massage I promised myself i would get one at least once a month. When I got off the table I felt like a ton of stress was removed and I felt totally relaxed, like a new person. But, do I go once a month for one - no. Whew!! Gotta do better.
I thought about this, too and thought that maybe this has something to do with the vagus nerve which is linked to releasing and relaxing which can get stimulated through massage. And yes I say: do what feels good for you. If its warm water in the bathtub or cuddling or walking, this will all release some tension if it feels good. All the best!
I became a supporter Of massage is when I had a bad case of the flu and had to continue to work! I worked for the govt. I went to a doctor who said I had a virus and a “sucks t😊 be you” mentality. Tears began running down my face as I was working outside, before the sun came up out on airports tarmac’s with a fever and the achy ness was the worse. I thought I would call a massage therapist and disclose I was sick and if she’d see me. Absolutely she would see me and I kid You not, by working in my lymph’s and rest of me, I walked out a whole new person! It was so hard to wrap my mind around how great I felt despite going in with flu like symptoms! It’s my new way to beat sickness when the symptoms come.
I wish I had seen this video a few months ago. I lost my dad in March of this year, 2024. I received his death certificate stating atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. I heard everything you said Dr. Berg and I processed it through my mind thinking "this is what happened to my dad's heart and body." Thank you very much for this info. I wish I could have my dad back and help him with knowing this information. God bless you.
So thankful for your channel man, it’s been very helpful to my life transformation I started back in October, I’ve lost 80 pounds down to 233 and plan on losing 40 more, but some of your videos have really helped along the way, so thank you, your heart health videos have been life changing for me.
A physician will always say to get out of stress but never explain why! This stream goes in detail as to what the stress does! Thank you so much! Blessings!
Finally this just hit the nail on the head for me. Everything you listed, I've been going through.. I'm in such a chronic state of stress that I developed severe adrenal fatigue and it's affected every aspect of my health and life
It's not really about increasing life expectancy, it's more about improving a person's quality of life. Life expectancy has a major genetic component to it.
@@weirhauch1002 I agree with both of you. There's definitely a quality of life component and a genetic component. The quality component is the one we can potentially improve, I guess. As for the genetic component, I saw this clearly. My dad lived to 94 and his sister to 95. The changes near the end of life in the last few years were very similar for both of them. They were both lucid and sharp as a tack up until 24 hours before they died. I'm proud of them both, even though of course there was some genetic luck that allowed them to have a full term.

My cousin had brain surgery in 1988 and ended up suffering from grand Mal epilepsy. He was on epilim medication for 30 years and at the age of 53, he dropped dead at home while watching television. The medication notes mentioned heart damage and we're convinced that it may have been the cause. We have no proof though so we'll just have to put it down to one of those things.
epilim in France is called depakine and there was a health scandal a few years ago concerning malformation of babies because the doctor prescribing it did not tell epileptic mother to stop the use during pregnancy. That was very rare, only 40% of the pregnancies, that was not enough to stop the cash rain.
@@annrhodes3544 Yes it actually went to two autopsies as the first one was inconclusive. It found three problems with the heart, though I don't have the scientific names to hand. What I'm saying is that we're suspicious that the damage was done to the heart as a consequence of 33 years of Epilim medication
This is why I do IF. Letting my body relax from digestion and heal itself is important. I do 16-8 and on some days 20-4. I just eat when hungry. My last grandparent is on hospice because she refused to listen at her last doctor visit, when they said she had one more "bad" meal and it was over with... Well last week she decided to have a late night snack of 4 large boxes of jello and ate ALL OF IT in one sitting and was in the process of making toast (I guess for either buttered toast or most likely toast and jam) when she collapsed on the floor and flatlined shortly after. She had a DNR and the EMTs didn't know and she was resuscitated and was put on a ventilator all last week as all this happened this past Sunday, and we decided to take her off the vent a couple of days ago and for hospice to take over since she made it through the night. But yeah. All this to say, I left keto when the funds got tight and depression caused me to not want to cook all the healthy food because sandwiches are easy, but I can tell a major difference since I'm not on it as strictly as I used to be. This situation has really kicked me into fear of having gone back to my carbilicious ways. I have a loaf and a half of gluten free bread, and once it's done, I have to go back to keto. I can figure out cheap keto until i have more funds to do better, but i was also getting lazy about cooking. 😬 No bueno. I dont wanna end up dying before 70 and having everyone mad at me that I couldn't put down a cupcake long enough to be with those I love as long as I can... Edit: she's now passed away.
Most of my OMAD keto meals revolve around eggs. Try 4 egg casserole baked with broccoli & mushroom and feta. It's not boring & It's 2 meals for me. Change up the veggies too.

propylene glycol can absorb moisture when the relative humidity is above 70% and release it when it's below 70%. This prevents mold from ruining tobacco hence the reason why its added to some tobaccos.
this is amazing. we keep hearing how "stress can kill you", but to have the mechanism of action explained so clearly is just eye-opening! thank you so much! and metformin? mind - blown.
This is fascinating. I just had a metabolic panel done on Tuesday. Everything came out great, but my LDL is very high. Triglycerides were very low and HDL was great. Blood sugar was also great. But, I’ve had a ton of real stress since January. My dad passed away and I was appointed Executor. My aunt broke into my dads house and looted, and was working him to change beneficiaries in everything 2 months before he died. So my stress levels have been almost unmanageable. But I find it fascinating that my LDL is so high right now and I’ve cut way back on sugar, carbs, and even stopped my nightly wine after my dad passed. There is something to this, wow! So next on my ✔️, make a concerted effort to manage/reduce my stress, the biggest hurdle in my life right now. Thank you!!
Low triglycerides and high hdl are great factors, along with low blood sugars ! Those are all you need to be healthy! Ldl fluctuates often because of how much fat your body uses and your activities! Your using fat as your main source of fuel (if ur on low carb) . And ldl are basically taxi cabs inside your blood needed to transport fat around your bloodstream to different locations ! So more cabs ( ldl ) are needed to transport the fat ! So no worry !!!
Great information as always Dr Berg. We all appreciate the dedication and research you do to put the puzzle of good health together and share with the world.
Thank you so much Dr. Berg for all your insights!!! I continue to learn so much by watching your free videos! What an amazing gift you are giving all of us!
Propylene glycol is the liquid carrier for the flavoring and nicotine. It is also what produces the smoke. Do you know fog machines? That’s propylene glycol. So when you go into a room filled with smoke produced by a fog machine, you are inhaling nothing but vapor of propylene glycol.

I have bad hips and I can't exercise and it's so frustrating. This gives me anxiety knowing I can't excercise right now. I fell several times and this caused my issues. 8:00 Propylene Glycol (PG). Often used in antfreeze now because it's replacing wthylene glycol which is very bad if ingested. Propylene glycol is certainly used in many food flavours as the solvent base. The other one would be ethanol in flavours. Older flavours used benzyl alcohol and propan-2-ol = isopropyl alcohol but they were banned in Europe. These solvents are great for dissolving both essential oils and water based compounds to give a uniform liquid flavour that doesn't separate out.
I just had a coworker have a heart attack at warehouse work. He was 60 y pulling pallets in a very hot trailer during the 90’ heatwave. He only was inside for maybe 20 minutes . There is no air flow on the docks . OSHA was called. Anyone can have a heart attack. We have to watch each other.

Practice mindful meditation every day. 15-30 minutes, but even 5 minutes is better than none. It's very simple, put one hand on the stomach and inhale and exhale through your nose while your stomach rises. You can optionally exhale through your mouth. And as you do so, repeat "rising, falling, rising, falling". It really works.

Makes sense: higher attitudes have lower air pressure, so less oxygen can be exchanged by the lungs and delivered to the bloodstream of the body. I’ve heard a few stories about cancer getting rampant in those who already had it after they visited mountain regions. Kind of makes sense too - cancer strives on hypoxia. A relatively stable individual who has a cancer gets voluntarily or involuntarily affected by the hypoxia event - and then boom, tumors get rampant, leading to a quick demise in weeks or months. Otto Warburg (a person who discovered the mechanism of cellular respiration) was onto something. He stated that a compromised cellular respiration leads to cancer. And it seems to be a plausible observation. One recent example is Joe Plater, a RU-vidr who had a thyroid cancer. He was relatively stable, then came hypoxia event and the hell broke loose.
I couldn't quite work out why you didn't mention caffeine, as lactic acid formation from caffeine was a major side effect in the days of my competition cycling.
